Revealing the sinister scheme of the BJP to destabilize the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), AAP has asserted that the BJP is orchestrating a political conspiracy involving former Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Chairperson Swati Maliwal to undermine AAP in the upcoming Delhi elections on May 25. Senior AAP leader and Cabinet Minister Ms. Atishi claims that Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, who is entangled in an alleged recruitment scam case, is being coerced by the BJP. Ms. Atishi asserts that the BJP is using legal threats to pressure Swati Maliwal into targeting the AAP and Shri Arvind Kejriwal. With voting just five days away, the AAP urges police to investigate Swati Maliwal’s connections with BJP leaders to uncover the truth. Additionally, Senior AAP Leader Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj points to video evidence showing Swati Maliwal threatening security personnel, contradicting her claims of victimhood.
Senior AAP leader and Cabinet Minister Ms. Atishi issued a statement saying that former DCW chairperson and Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal is facing an alleged recruitment scam case from the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) that contractual employees were recruited in DCW in an illegal manner. This case has been going on for the last several years. An FIR has also been filed against her. Now this case is close to ending. Therefore, it seems that the same formula of the BJP to file cases against different leaders must have been used on Swati Maliwal. Perhaps Swati Maliwal was made to do this by threatening her about the case going on against her in DCW.
She further added, “We have also said that Swati Maliwal’s call records should be investigated. We have come to know from reliable sources that she has been in constant touch with BJP leaders for the last few months. Delhi Police should investigate what kind of political conspiracy is this, which is being hatched to attack AAP and Shri Arvind Kejriwal just 5 days before the elections in Delhi. There should be a thorough investigation into how Swati Maliwal is in contact with the BJP.
Ms. Atishi mentioned that the BJP does everything clearly. It uses ED, CBI, Income Tax Department and ACB against opposition leaders. If BJP did not conspire like this, then how would Praful Patel, Chhagan Bhujbal, Ajit Pawar, Himanta Biswa Sarma join BJP? This is a very clear example of how BJP used ED, CBI, IT Department, ACB and EOW. Investigation agencies were misused to tighten the screws on opposition leaders and bring them to BJP by blackmailing them.
“Like other opposition leaders, BJP has adopted the same formula in the Swati Maliwal case as well. First a case is filed against Swati Maliwal by the ACB, FIR is registered, it is under investigation now. Now through this case, this conspiracy has been hatched by Swati Maliwal. Swati Maliwal is made a pawn of this conspiracy just before the elections. We are demanding that the entire matter be investigated impartially to find out who is in contact with whom. Which BJP leader did Swati Maliwal meet, when did she meet, what was discussed on phone and WhatsApp. If this is investigated, everything will be clear,” Ms. Atishi shared.

On the other hand, senior AAP leader and Cabinet Minister Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj says that when any woman makes such an allegation, people sympathize with her. When Swati Maliwal made this allegation for the first time, we also sympathized with her. Swati Maliwal said that she was slapped, kicked and punched, her clothes were torn and somehow she managed to escape by saving herself. Swati Maliwal said this on May 13. A video of Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s drawing room of May 13 has surfaced, in which two policemen and a female policeman are standing in safari suits. These are the CM’s security personnel. In the video, Swati Maliwal is seen misbehaving with those police personnel. She is saying that I will get your uniform removed. She is also seen using abusive language for Bibhav Kumar. Her clothes are looking fine in the video. She is sitting comfortably on the sofa and is commanding. She does not look like she is suffering or making any noise.

Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj further added that after watching the video, it does not seem at all that the things Swati Maliwal is saying in her FIR, that incident happened with her. Because she is saying in the video that I have called the police on 112 and the police are coming. According to Swati Maliwal, that so-called assault incident has already happened. But she looks fine. She is commanding, she is not telling the police personnel even once that she was beaten up. Another video of May 13 has surfaced, in which security personnel escorted her outside the CM’s house. In that video too, she looks fine and is walking well. In her alleged conversation on May 13, even after so much beating, she is walking fine.

“On May 17, four days after the incident, when Swati Maliwal went for medical checkup and went to record her statement under 164 in the court, she was limping, as if she had been beaten up a lot. This is a contradiction. If anyone sees these videos, they will believe that there is something wrong in this and there is a big conspiracy behind it. I was listening to BJP National President JP Nadda. He is saying that no BJP leader is in touch with her. I challenge the BJP. It has all the investigation agencies. Get all the WhatsApp and FaceTime calls of Swati Maliwal investigated by those agencies. Senior BJP leaders are in touch with Swati Maliwal. JP Nadda also knows this. The way an ACB case against Swati Maliwal is pending in the court, I think a lot of pressure would have been put on her by the BJP regarding this and she would be under a lot of pressure due to the case,” Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj mentioned.

Senior AAP leader Shri Jasmine Shah said that the truth is not proved by using abusive language and making baseless allegations. In the last 3-4 days, Swati Maliwal has made very serious allegations of assault on Bibhav Kumar. But on Friday, a video clip came out, which revealed the whole truth. That video was made after the kind of assault Swati Maliwal has alleged. She has said in her FIR that she was beaten up very badly, she has a deep injury on my head, she was unable to sit, she was unable to walk. But in the video that is taken immediately after the incident, it is clearly visible that Swati Maliwal is sitting comfortably on the sofa, she is not in any kind of trouble or pain, on the contrary, she is saying nonsense. She is threatening the security personnel present there that I will take away your job. She did not say anything to the security personnel like I was beaten up, someone should protect me. Rather she is threatening them.

Shri Jasmine Shah further said that the second video that has come out this morning shows that immediately after the incident, when Swati Maliwal is going out of the CM residence, she is walking comfortably, she is not limping. It is clearly visible that this is a conspiracy. On Friday, Bibhav Kumar has given his official complaint to SHO Civil Lines, in which he has mentioned the whole incident in a systematic manner. After which everything became crystal clear about what actually happened that day. Because many questions were arising in the minds of the people that what exactly happened? “This misbehavior did not happen only with Bibhav Kumar, but she was also threatening the Delhi Police officers that if they do not talk to her, then she will take away their jobs. If someone is in shock, if someone has been treated so badly, then will they use such words. This makes it clear that Swati Maliwal has done such a despicable act under the pressure of BJP. All the facts have come out, Bibhav Kumar has also sent a complaint to the SHO through an email. We hope that this matter will be investigated impartially and the truth will come out,” he added.
