In a resolute stand for justice, Delhi Water Minister Atishi has entered the third day of her indefinite hunger strike, fervently demanding that 28 lakh Delhiites receive their rightful water supply from Haryana. On Sunday, her resolve was highlighted by a health check conducted by a team of doctors, revealing the personal toll of her courageous fight.
During the health check-up on the third day of the ‘Paani Satyagraha’, doctors have recorded a big drop in Water Minister Atishi’s blood pressure and sugar level. Along with this, her weight has also dropped.
Compared to the first day of the fast, on the third day, the blood sugar level of the Delhi Water Minister has dropped by 26 units. Also, her diastolic (lower) blood pressure has also reached 56 mmHg. The speed with which the blood sugar level and blood pressure of Ms. Atishi has dropped, Doctors have described it as dangerous.
Along with this, the urine ketone level of Water Minister Atishi has also turned positive. According to doctors, if the hunger strike continues, then the amount of ketone in her body may increase in the coming days, which will be dangerous for her health.
Water Minister Atishi, who is on an indefinite hunger strike to ensure the water rights of 28 lakh Delhiites, has said that her indefinite hunger strike will continue till the Haryana government provides the water rights of Delhiites and till the gates of Hathnikund Barrage are not opened.
