Launching a scathing attack on the Prime Minister, AAP national convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal said Narendra Modi put him and Hemant Soren in jail to destroy the Aam Aadmi Party and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and topple the two state governments.
Addressing a public meeting of the JMM, a constituent party of the INDIA alliance at Jamshedpur in Jharkhand on Tuesday, Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal said Modi ji thought that by doing this he will break our party and topple our government in Delhi and Jharkhand, but our party has united like a family.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren; Smt. Kalpana Soren, wife of ex-chief minister of Jharkhand Shri Hemant Soren; Smt Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal and other senior leaders, including MP Sanjay Singh participated in the public meeting in Jamshedpur.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said about 35 years ago, I used to work in Jamshedpur in Tata Steel. I worked there for three years from 1989 to 1992. I used to live in GT Hostel and after that I used to live in Sakshi flats. “So, I have an old relationship with Jamshedpur, not the relationship that Modi ji calls it, this is the real relationship,” he said.
The AAP National Convenor said I am coming among you people directly from jail. One day I was sitting in my jail cell in Tihar and I was watching TV. I saw on TV that the Supreme Court gave me 21 days’ time to go and campaign for the elections. I could not believe it. Modi ji tried his best, Modi ji used all his strength that Kejriwal should not get bail. But I have the blessings of Bajrangbali, Modi ji could not do anything in front of Bajrangbali, and I got bail. In a way, a miracle happened and see, today I have come among you people.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said now my brother Hemant Soren is in jail and I know that every child in Jharkhand loves Hemant Soren. I know what must be going on in your hearts at this time. I can understand your pain, how much pain you must be feeling that your own Hemant Soren, whom you consider a part of your family, has been put in jail by Modi ji under a political conspiracy. I consider him my brother; Kalpana ji is my sister-in-law. And I am seeing how Kalpana ji has taken charge and becoming the ‘Jhansi ki Rani’, she is challenging Modi ji from here in Jharkhand. I came out and listened to many of her speeches on social media and I felt that the intention with which Modi ji put me and Hemant Soren ji in jail. Modi ji had thought that I will put Kejriwal in jail, the Aam Aadmi Party will disintegrate, then I will buy his MLAs, then I will break his party, his government will fall in Delhi, his government will fall in Punjab. In the same way, they thought that I will arrest Hemant Soren, buy his MLAs, break Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, topple his government. “But the complete opposite happened. There is a power which we call God, God is watching. Instead of the party breaking up in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party became so united like a family, all our MLAs, all MPs, all councillors, all the party officials, all united and started working with double zeal to defeat Modi ji. Our Delhi government did not fall, our Punjab government did not fall,” he said.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said in the same way, they thought that they will break Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, but the opposite happened. Such energy has come in the whole of Jharkhand to defeat Modi ji. Today we have to take an oath that all 14 seats should go to the INDIA alliance this time.
Recalling the oxygen supplied by the then Jharkhand chief minister Shri Hemant Soren during Covid-19, the AAP supremo said there is one thing that even you people do not know. The 2.5 crore people of Delhi are deeply grateful to Hemant Soren ji and the people of Jharkhand. Because during the time of Corona, Hemant Soren ji personally helped the people of Delhi. “We did not have oxygen, there was a huge shortage of oxygen in Delhi, many people were dying in our hospital. I called Hemant Soren ji and he immediately arranged oxygen for Delhi because there are many oxygen manufacturing plants in Jharkhand. So, today on behalf of the people of Delhi, I have come with a message to Hemant Soren ji and the people of Jharkhand. The people of Delhi want to tell Hemant Soren ji that ‘we all love you’ and ‘miss you’,” he said.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said why did they put Hemant Soren in jail? Why does a person go to jail? A person goes to jail when a court, after completing the investigation and trial, passes an order that this person committed this crime, this person is guilty, so send him to jail. A person goes to jail when a court says that this person committed theft, this person committed corruption, this person committed robbery, this person committed murder, this person committed rape, he is guilty of this, send him to jail. There is no court order against Hemant Soren, not even a single court order, no court has passed an order that Hemant Soren is guilty, there is no court that has declared Hemant Soren guilty. “The investigation is still going on, the investigation will go on for 10 years, then why was Hemant Soren put in jail? This is Modi’s domineering attitude. Anyone can be put in jail like this under highhandedness. What is the charge against me, there is no charge, no court has declared me guilty, no court has declared me corrupt, there is no order of any court against me, I was put in jail. Tomorrow, Champai Soren ji will be put in jail, anyone will be caught and put in jail, this is sheer hooliganism they have created,” he said.
The AAP National Convenor said Modi ji hates the tribal community. Hemant Soren ji is not only the leader of Jharkhand, but Hemant Soren ji is also the biggest leader of the tribal community of the entire country. I went to Gujarat, there people remember Hemant Soren ji, you go to Madhya Pradesh, go to Chhattisgarh, Hemant Soren ji is the leader of the entire tribal community of the entire country. There is only one Chief Minister in the entire country who is from the tribal community, Hemant Soren, and they caught him and put him in jail. His father Shibu Soren had performed penance to get Jharkhand state formed, went to jail, was beaten up, struggled a lot. Shibu Soren struggled along with you people and the people of Jharkhand. He had performed a lot of penance. Did he do this to see the day when one day Jharkhand state will be formed and his son will be put in jail, it is sad. When I was coming here, I asked Champai Soren ji about Shibu Soren ji’s health, how is his health. Champai ji told me that Shibu Soren ji’s health is very bad. In such times a man needs his son. Modi ji did not have even this much mercy that he would let the child of such a sick father stay with him so that he could serve him. Even in such a condition he put his son in jail.
The AAP supremo said so today, I have come to ask all of you that Modi ji has challenged the entire tribal society of the country I have put your biggest leader in jail, do whatever you want to do. Today I have come to ask you, are we weak, will you sit quietly, will you not do something? “Modi Ji challenged the tribal community of the entire country, do whatever you want, I will put your leader in jail. On May 25 and June 1, when you press the button to cast your vote, the sound that comes after pressing this button should echo in Modi Ji’s ears,” he urged the voters.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said the inauguration of the Ram Mandir took place with great pomp and show and was celebrated all over the country. We were also very happy that the temple of our Lord Shri Ram Chandra, our favourite deity was built at such grandeur. But who should have inaugurated that temple? The President should have done it. It was undoubtedly necessary for the Prime Minister to be there, but the President should have inaugurated the temple. Why did these people not invite the President to the inauguration ceremony? They did not invite the president because she is a tribal.
The Delhi Chief Minister said Shri Narendra Modi keeps humiliating the tribal community time and again, he does not invite you to Ram temple, he puts your leader in jail without evidence. If you continue to remain silent, this oppression will keep going on. This time, even if one seat goes to the BJP and Shri Narendra Modi from Jharkhand, then the situation is going to get worse in the coming days, their oppression will know no bounds. Modi is only afraid of you and it depends on you whether Shri Hemant Soren will stay in jail or come out after these elections. If you people press the ‘Kamal’ (lotus) button, then Shri Hemant Soren will have to stay in jail. But if you press the button of the INDIA alliance, then results will come on 4th and Shri Hemant Soren, your son, your brother, will be amongst you by 5th June, he stated.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said think carefully, the key is in your hands. If you press the ‘Kamal’ (lotus) button even by mistake, the days to come will become more difficult. All the people who have come here, I am giving the responsibility to all of you to go to your neighbours in your streets, villages, localities, and tell everyone that no one will press the ‘Kamal’ (lotus) button. If you press the ‘Kamal’ (lotus) button, you will betray your tribal community and the entire Jharkhand. By doing, this you will stab your own tribal community in the back. We have to tell everyone that if they press the ‘Kamal’ (lotus) button’, then our Hemant Soren will remain in jail. But if they press the button of the INDIA alliance, then on 5th of June, he will be amongst you.
The AAP supremo said these people have become so proud, so arrogant that they have started considering themselves as God. Jagannath is called the Lord of the Universe; his name says it all. Recently, the most prominent spokesperson of the BJP, Shri Sambit Patra said that “Lord Jagannath is a devotee (bhakt) of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” It is a very agonizing thing to say, these people have started considering themselves even above Lord Jagannath. This time they should be taught a lesson; it is important to break their ego.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said these people say that we will bring those who brough Lord Rama. “Have you brought Lord Rama? Lord Rama has brought us into this world. If we are in this world, it is because of Lord Rama and Lord Jagannath. And these people say that Shri Narendra Modi has brought God. What nonsense are they talking about, what are they doing? This time we have to crush their ego by pressing the button for the INDIA alliance,” he said.
The AAP supremo said another very dangerous thing is happening throughout the country. These people are saying that they want 400 seats but upon being asked that what do you need 400 seats for if the same work can be done with 300? These people say that PM Modi has to do big things. “The big things that Shri Narendra Modi is planning to do is the abolition of reservation for the SC, ST, and the OBCs,” he said.
Addressing the public, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “If you people want to save your reservation, then you will have to work hard. Now, as many days are left, I am certain that the people present here will definitely vote in favour of the INDIA alliance but that is not enough. You will also have to work day and night to campaign from door to door and raise awareness amongst others. We have to save the country by removing the BJP and Shri Narendra Modi from power.”
The AAP National Convenor said today I have come all the way from Delhi, you can call it my selfishness, but I have come here for my brother Shri Hemant Soren. I have come before all of you to beg you to save the country. If Modi government comes to power again, the country will not survive, democracy will die, Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s Constitution will be abolished. These people will end the reservation and when reservation will no longer exist, then you can imagine what will happen to the reserved categories and tribal communities in this country. It is extremely important for us to fight with all our might. This election is not an ordinary election, this election is the election of India’s existence.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that at present there is an atmosphere against them in the entire country. The Supreme Court has given me 21 days for campaigning. In these 21 days, I am traveling across the country and trying my best to reduce their seats as much as I can by working hard day and night. I went to Punjab, Kurukshetra, Lucknow, Bhiwandi, Mumbai, and today I am here at Jamshedpur.
The Delhi Chief Minister said people throughout the country are very angry with them. Inflation has become so high that people are not able to meet their household expenses. Everything from petrol, diesel, gas, food items and milk has become expensive. The expenses have skyrocketed but people’s incomes are not increasing at all. Youths are sitting at home with degrees. At present, there is an atmosphere against them in the entire country.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said it is certain that the Modi government is not coming back to power on 4th June. The entire country has decided to defeat them. The INDIA alliance will form the government on June 4 and I hope that on June 5th my brother, Shri Hemant Soren, will come out of jail. They are also telling me that I will have to go back to jail on June 2, but if the INDIA alliance government is formed, then I will also be out of jail and will be amongst you people. The National Convenor of the AAP appealed to the people to vote for JMM Lok Sabha Candidate from Jamshedpur Shri Samir Mohanty and make him win by huge majority.
He further added that the Punjab CM, Sardar Bhagwant Mann was going to be a part of this meeting but due to some programs in Punjab, he could not make it today. He has sent his best wishes for all of you. I promise you that after 4th June, when the INDIA alliance will form government at the centre, Sardar Bhagwant Mann and I will come here to express our gratitude to all of you, concluded Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
