The newly constructed roof of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Airport collapsed during the first rain, resulting in one death and multiple injuries. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has held Prime Minister Modi and BJP responsible for the incident. Senior AAP Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh pointed to widespread corruption under BJP governments, highlighting that the airport terminal, inaugurated by the Prime Minister in March, failed within three months. The AAP Rajya Sabha also mentioned the leakage in the sanctum sanctorum of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir and the recent collapse of Jabalpur Terminal, questioning the government’s concern for public safety.
Senior AAP Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that water leakage started in Lord Shri Ram temple in the first rain itself. Rainwater has started dripping in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, where the chief priest has expressed his objection. Ayodhya whose development story the BJP never tired of singing, how did that Ayodhya become a victim of waterlogging in the first rain itself? Apart from this, we saw the condition of Atal Setu. Jabalpur terminal collapsed, Bundelkhand Express broke into pieces and fell.
The AAP Rajya Sabha MP continued, stating, “Today this accident has happened in Terminal-1 of Delhi Airport. It is extremely shameful that the part of Terminal-1 which the Prime Minister of India inaugurated on March 10, collapsed within three months. One person has also lost his life in this accident and many people have been injured. Who are the people responsible for this?”
“That is why I say that wherever there is a BJP government, there is massive corruption. These people don’t even care if the common people lose their life. We saw that a bridge (Morbi Bridge) collapsed in Gujarat, in which hundreds of people lost their lives. Wherever there is BJP, there is corruption,” he affirmed.
Sharing a video of the roof of Terminal 1 of Delhi Airport collapsing on his ‘X’ handle (erstwhile Twitter), Sanjay Singh writes, “The Prime Minister had inaugurated this part of Terminal 1 with great fanfare and today it collapsed. One person lost his life in this accident and many people were injured. Sometimes Ram Mandir, sometimes Atal Setu, sometimes Jalabhpur Terminal, and sometimes Delhi Terminal accidents are happening. Wherever BJP is, there is corruption.”
Meanwhile, the AAP posted two posts on its official ‘X’ handle. First, the party posted photos of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Airport Terminal 1 and Jabalpur Terminal and mentioned, “These are painful pictures of Modi ji’s corruption. Today, three people have died and many are injured due to the collapse of the roof of Indira Gandhi Airport Terminal. Similarly, on Thursday, the roof of the new terminal of Jabalpur Airport also collapsed. Prime Minister, you used to say that I will neither eat nor let others eat, but today due to your and your ministers’ eating habits, innocent people are paying the price of corruption by giving their lives.”
Apart from this, the AAP has posted a photo of a car stuck under the roof of Indira Gandhi Airport’s Terminal 1. The AAP asks, “Prime Minister, what was the fault of this person who lost his life after falling from the roof of IGI Terminal-1 inaugurated by you? Who will take care of this person’s family? You have filled your stomach and that of your friends through corruption, but who will feed this person’s family now? Do not remain silent on this serious issue, rather give your answer.”
