Sushil Kumar Gupta is an eminent educationist, agriculturalist, and social worker, who has been contributing primarily in the fields of education and healthcare over the last few decades. He is a businessman of repute and has been involved in several charitable organizations in Delhi and Haryana. Hugely impressed by the Aam Aadmi Party government’s work in Delhi on education and healthcare, he has been supporting the party since the 2015 Delhi Assembly election. His association with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the last two years has been on grounds of mutual respect, despite the fact that he did not officially join the AAP until recently. In fact, in May 2017, CM Arvind Kejriwal had inaugurated a solar power project in one of the schools run by Mr Gupta.
In this interview with Sushil Gupta, he talks about how his passion for providing education and healthcare to the people brings him to the Aam Aadmi Party,
Sushil Gupta’s educational institutions serve 15,000 students across Delhi and Haryana, and his Maharaja Agrasain Hospitals serve thousands of patients every year. He also runs medical colleges under the same name. His contributions through these institutions have earned him the respect and admiration of all the people who have benefited from his charitable work.
After contesting the Delhi Assembly election of 2013 from Moti Nagar on a Congress ticket, he had distanced himself from the party gradually.
He will be a strong voice in the Rajya Sabha from the AAP, especially on issues of education and healthcare.
