Bio
Prithvi Reddy is an entrepreneur in Bangalore and a member of the National Executive of the Aam Aadmi Party. Prithvi was involved in the policy making for AAP and headed the team responsible for the “Economic policy” of the party. He was also assigned the responsibility of Convenor of Organisation building effort for AAP called Mission Vistaar across India during 2014-15.
Prithvi is one of the founders of a citizen’s movement against corruption in Karnataka, which later evolved to become the India Against Corruption (IAC), Karnataka Chapter. As a member of the National Core Committee of IAC, Prithvi worked closely with Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal and others on steering the nation wide campaign.
Possessing a streak of social activism, Reddy had already participated in a few anti-corruption movements when he met Kejriwal at one such rally named ‘Corruption Saku’ (Enough of Corruption) in Bangalore in 2010. His association with the Aam Aadmi Party is a result of that meeting and he is now the party’s representative in Karnataka.
Presently, he is the state Convenor of AAP Karnataka and Fund Raising team lead and Co-Convenor AAP Overseas. His dream is a corruption-free society, strengthening democracy and an India, where every child can realize its potential and seize the opportunities to learn and grow.
Education
A mechanical engineer with a management degree, he worked in Europe for a couple of years before returning to India to join his family business.
