In a statement resonating with gratitude and determination, AAP hails this decision as a watershed moment for democracy, marking the end of ‘dictatorship’.
With CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal now able to campaign in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, jubilation reverberates not only within AAP’s ranks but also echoes in the words of Smt. Sunita Kejriwal, who expresses heartfelt thanks and invokes divine blessings with a resounding ‘Hanuman ji ki Jai’. This respite from judicial intervention is seen as a beacon of hope by crores, as evidenced by the outpouring of support and prayers. Punjab CM, Sardar Bhagwant Mann, pledges a renewed vigor in the fight for democracy, recognizing Shri Arvind Kejriwal not just as an individual but as an embodiment of an ideology. Dr. Sandeep Pathak, AAP’s National General Secretary (Organization), exclaims ‘Satyamev Jayate’, underscoring the victory of truth. AAP Delhi State Convenor Shri Gopal Rai said that Lok Sabha elections are the great festival of democracy. During this Lok Sabha election, the way the Modi government at the center deprived CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, elected with a huge majority for three times, from campaigning, today the Supreme Court has lit a ray of hope in the hearts of people who love this country and democracy. “We thank the Supreme Court on behalf of all the people of Delhi, the Constitution lovers of the country and the entire AAP for igniting a ray of light by granting interim bail to Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal in this dark era of dictatorship,” he added.
The AAP Delhi State Convenor further added that today, not only Delhi, but the whole country is happy with this decision. The country is delighted by the fact that even in these adverse circumstances, the freedom fighters, due to whose sacrifice we got the Constitution of India and the different pillars of democracy were formed, are still maintaining their role in this era of dictatorship. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts for this. This is the victory of truth. Because the way CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal was suddenly picked up and put in jail without any proof and FIR, today by granting him interim bail by the Supreme Court, one thing has been proved that today truth has won, and there is a ray of hope among the people.
Shri Gopal Rai said that our message to all the citizens of Delhi and the country is that the way we have run a campaign to save democracy and the constitution by eliminating dictatorship from the country with the power of our votes in a democratic and constitutional manner, will be strengthened with the Shri Arvind Kejriwal coming out of jail. The entire country’s people will fight this battle together and will make this country stronger by saving democracy and the constitution.
Supreme Court’s decision has not only resulted in the victory of truth but also of democracy and constitution: Atishi
During this, senior AAP leader Atishi said that the Supreme Court’s decision has not only given interim bail to CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, but truth has also resulted in victory. This decision has resulted in the victory of democracy and the constitution. In the history of our country, whenever the constitution and democracy have been in danger, the Supreme Court of the country has come forward. The Supreme Court has played a major role in protecting democracy. Even today, the interim bail given by the Supreme Court to CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal for coming for the Lok Sabha election campaign, this decision will protect democracy. Because democracy is the biggest principle of our country. In democracy, ‘free and fair’ elections are the foundation of our constitution. Every person in the country has an equal right to choose.
Ms. Atishi said that today there is a dictatorial government in this country. A government that is conspiring to eliminate the opposition in the country. This government is trying to eliminate democracy and the constitution from the country. But this time this dictatorship will end and it will happen only in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. “I want to thank the Supreme Court once again. I want to appeal to the people of the country that this is the last chance for this country to save its democracy and its constitution. Therefore, it is the responsibility of all of us that we all have to end such dictatorship together with the power of our vote.
During this, Ms. Atishi posted on ‘X’ and said, “Today truth has triumphed, the constitution has triumphed. The BJP left no stone unturned to end democracy in this country. But now the dictatorship will end.”
Senior AAP leader and Cabinet Minister Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj stated, “The BJP led central government had put all its effort by using the entire government and its artillery to keep a sitting Chief Minister, Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail, by filing a false PMLA case against him. Under the PMLA, people are kept in jail for months without any evidence against them. Getting an interim bail under PMLA in 40 days is nothing less than a miracle. Through the Supreme Court, it is a sign from God that there is a need to change what is going on in India. This is the blessing of Lord Hanuman for his devotee Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Like a miracle, today Shri Arvind Kejriwal will come out of jail. I believe everything is happening for a very big purpose, it is not a simple thing, and it will start becoming evident to you in a few days. With the release of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, there will be big changes in this country.”
AAP Chief Spokesperson (National), Ms. Priyanka Kakkar stated, “We are extremely grateful to the Supreme Court for upholding the democracy in the country today. Like our senior leaders Shri Gopal Rai, Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Ms. Atishi stated that the interim bail has been granted under extraordinary circumstances under a stringent case like the PMLA. The case which was implicated on Shri Arvind Kejriwal solely on the basis of false allegations and testimonies of the BJP, to keep Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail and to keep him away from the Lok Sabha elections.” Calling upon the public and the media, she reiterated that this is the last chance to save democracy. All of us need to ensure that we upheld democracy in India.
Senior AAP leader Shri Jasmine Shah said that this is the moment that the people have been waiting for, not just the AAP volunteers but every citizen has been waiting for it. We have all been waiting for Shri Arvind Kejriwal, who has set an example of honest politics, to be released from jail. The perfect definition of this moment is ‘Satyamev Jayate’ (Truth Prevails).
We have been saying this time and again that the BJP has been creating mountains of lies for the last two years, they have been constantly hatching a conspiracy against the AAP and Shri Arvind Kejriwal. This has never happened before in the history of India, such a massive political conspiracy, where the BJP has been hell-bent on finishing a new party, which the BJP itself calls a party as small as a ‘Supari’ (betel nut). Despite this, they have left all the constitutional agencies, ED-CBI-IT behind the Aam Aadmi Party. And this was also seen for the first time in the country that right after the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections, the National Convenor of the AAP, a national party, was put behind bars. The BJP has been constantly saying that we must trust the Judiciary.

After the Supreme Court’s decision, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Smt. Sunita Kejriwal expressed happiness and posted on ‘X’ (erstwhile Twitter). Calling it a victory of democracy, she posted, “Hanuman ji ki jai. This is the victory of democracy. It is the result of the prayers and blessings of crores of people. Many thanks to everyone.”
Will move forward with Kejriwal’s ideology: Sardar Bhagwant Mann
Punjab CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann shared on his ‘X’ handle and said, “thanks to the Supreme Court. Now we will fight the battle to save democracy with more intensity. Shri Arvind Kejriwal is not a person but an ideology…and now we will take this ideology forward with more speed. Inquilab Zindabad.”
Senior AAP Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh shared on his ‘X’ handle, “Truth can be troubled but not defeated. The decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court is welcome. The dictatorship will end. Satyamev Jayate. The country will see the wonders of Kejriwal.”
Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Raghav Chaddha wrote on his ‘X’ handle, “The eyes of every citizen of the country are moist with happiness, their brother, their son Arvind Kejriwal is about to come out of jail. The jail locks will be broken this evening and Kejriwal will be released. Heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Supreme Court for protecting democracy. Inquilab Zindabad, Arvind Kejriwal Zindabad.”
