AAP National Convenor and Delhi’s CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Smt. Sunita Kejriwal, is set to embark on a campaign trail seeking blessings for her husband, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, from the people of Delhi and across the nation, while also endorsing AAP Lok Sabha candidates. The campaign is to kick off with a grand roadshow in the East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, followed by another in West Delhi. Smt. Sunita Kejriwal’s campaign will extend beyond Delhi to Punjab, Gujarat, and Haryana. Briefing about this, Senior AAP Leader Atishi asserts that BJP’s attempt to arrest Shri Arvind Kejriwal has backfired, as people nationwide are rallying in his support and are poised to respond with votes. Ms. Atishi emphasizes that the people of Delhi, Punjab, and the entire country stand with Shri Arvind Kejriwal, and their support will translate into votes for AAP.
Senior AAP Leader and Cabinet Minister in the Kejriwal government, Ms. Atishi, said that immediately after the announcement of Lok Sabha elections, immediately after the imposition of the model code of conduct, the BJP-ruled central government and its political weapon ED arrested the popular Chief Minister of Delhi. He was arrested before the announcement of elections because BJP is afraid of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. The BJP did not want Shri Arvind Kejriwal to enter the electoral fray. That is why he was arrested.
“I want to tell BJP that their gamble has backfired completely. Whether it is Delhi-Punjab or the rest of the country, the common people are protesting against the arrest of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, protesting against the dictatorship of PM Narendra Modi, protesting against this attack on democracy. The people are unanimously saying that they will answer the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal with their votes,” The Senior AAP Leader affirmed.
Ms. Atishi said that in protest against the arrest of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, his wife Smt. Sunita Kejriwal will campaign to seek blessings for Shri Arvind Kejriwal, and to seek votes for AAP candidates. She will seek blessings for Shri Arvind Kejriwal from the people of Delhi, Punjab, Gujarat and Haryana.
She further mentioned, “Smt. Sunita Kejriwal will start campaigning from East Delhi tomorrow, 27 April. She will hold a roadshow in East Delhi tomorrow and will seek blessings from the people of East Delhi for Shri Arvind Kejriwal. On 28 April, Smt. Sunita Kejriwal will hold a roadshow in the West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency and will seek blessings from the people for Shri Arvind Kejriwal.”
“I want to tell the BJP that the people of Delhi, Punjab and the entire country are standing with Shri Arvind Kejriwal, are against the arrest of Shri Arvind Kejriwal and will definitely give him their blessings and will definitely vote for the AAP,” Ms. Atishi concluded.
