To review the results of the Lok Sabha elections and decide the future strategy, a meeting of all the councillors of the Aam Aadmi Party was held on Saturday. This was the first meeting after the elections, in which the senior leaders of the party decided to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level.

AAP National General Secretary (Organisation) Dr Sandeep Pathak, AAP Delhi State Convenor Shri Gopal Rai, AAP MCD in-Charge Shri Durgesh Pathak, Mayor Dr Shelly Oberoi, Deputy Mayor Aaley Muhammad Iqbal, MCD Leader of House Shri Mukesh Kumar Goel and some MLAs were also present at the meeting.

Sharing the details of the discussions held at the meeting, MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak said in the first meeting held with all the councillors of Delhi after the completion of the Lok Sabha elections, there was a discussion about the Lok Sabha elections results. The kind of mandate the people of the country have given, the people have certainly formed Modi ji’s government, but his pride has been completely shattered. Today, there is a discussion everywhere that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government have been doing injustice to Delhi for the last 10 years. The Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Health Minister have been put in jail. MP Shri Sanjay Singh was also put in jail.

Shri Durgesh Pathak said the Modi government is constantly playing games with the rights of Delhi. “Despite the Supreme Court’s order, the rights of the elected government were completely abolished by bringing an ordinance. We hope that the Prime Minister will learn a lesson from this mandate and return the rights to the people of Delhi,” he added.

The MCD in-charge said the report on the ward level elections was also discussed in the meeting. It was decided in the meeting that the party’s organization needs more strengthening at the grassroots level. “Everyone decided that even though the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister are still in jail, we will fight the ongoing battle to save the Constitution and democracy together with the people of Delhi,” he said.
