In a startling development, Senior AAP leader Atishi has come forward with sensational statements, disclosing that she was offered to join the BJP and threatened with arrest if she refused. Ms. Atishi revealed that the offer, conveyed by a close associate of hers, came with a stark ultimatum: join BJP to safeguard her political career or face imminent arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) within a month. The disclosure also shed light on impending ED raids on her home and relatives’ residences, along with BJP’s plans to arrest four more AAP leaders, including herself, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Durgesh Pathak, and Raghav Chadha, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Despite these threats, Atishi affirmed AAP’s resilience and commitment to upholding the nation’s constitution under the leadership of Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
Senior AAP leader and Cabinet Minister in Delhi Government Atishi said, “I want to inform the people of the country that the BJP approached me through an individual who is personally very close to me, to join their party. I was told to either join the BJP, to save and extend my political career, and if I will not join the BJP then I would be arrested by the ED within a month. PM Narendra Modi and the BJP have made up their minds to crush and eliminate the AAP and all its leaders. First, they arrested the top leadership of the AAP and put them in jail. Firstly, Shri Satyendar Jain was arrested, then Shri Manish Sisodia was arrested, Shri Sanjay Singh was arrested, and now even the Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, has been arrested.”
“Now as the Lok Sabha elections are imminent, the BJP intends to arrest four more leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party in the next 2 months before the elections. They will arrest me, Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj, Shri Durgesh Pathak, and Shri Raghav Chadha. BJP expected that after the arrest of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP would disintegrate and its morale would be down, as all of its top leadership would be in jail, but this did not happen,” She said.
Ms. Atishi mentioned that after the rally at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday, where lakhs of people came from Delhi and across the country, and after the AAP’s on the streets for the past 10 days, now the BJP feels that arresting four leaders of AAP wasn’t enough. In the upcoming time, the next four leaders will be arrested and put in jail. “I have been informed that in the coming days, there will be a raid by the ED at my personal residence. Not only at my house but there will also be raids by the ED at the homes of my relatives and family members. After that, summons will be sent to all of us, and we will be arrested,” she added.
“I want to tell the BJP that we are not afraid of their threats. We are soldiers of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, disciples of Bhagat Singh. We will fight till our last breath to protect the constitution of the country and to provide a better life to the people of this country. Whether BJP puts one MLA or worker of the Aam Aadmi Party in jail, 10 more people will come forward to fight Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s battle and defeat BJP,” Ms. Atishi concluded.
