In a fight to safeguard the nation’s constitution and democracy, the INDIA Alliance marked its inaugural nomination filing in Delhi on Tuesday. The AAP and INDIA Alliance candidate for the South Delhi Lok Sabha seat, Shri Sahiram Pehalwan, submitted his nomination amidst spirited celebrations. Commencing his day at 9 am with blessings from goddess Durga and elders at Tehkhand village’s temple, he embarked on an 8 km ‘Ashirwad Yatra’ journey through Kalkaji and Ravidas Temple, culminating at the District Magistrate’s office in Mehrauli. Throughout the journey, he was met with enthusiastic receptions. Accompanying him were prominent AAP leaders, including cabinet ministers Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj and Ms. Atishi, alongside numerous party MLAs, members and supporters.
After Shri Sahiram Pehelwan’s nomination, Senior AAP Leader Ms. Atishi said that Shri Arvind Kejriwal has formulated the AAP from the streets of Delhi. But the BJP thought that if they arrest Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP will not be able to campaign. But they arrested one Arvind Kejriwal, so thousands of Arvind Kejriwals have come out on the streets of Delhi to campaign for AAP. Today the AAP is not campaigning, rather, the people of Delhi are campaigning for us. Delhiites are making us contest the elections and the people of Delhi will make us win the elections.
Ms. Atishi further added that the BJP has given proof that its MPs have not done any work in Delhi in 10 years. Therefore, compulsively they had to change their MP candidates. The people of entire South Delhi know very well that BJP MPs do not come to their areas and do not work for them. If anyone works for them, it is Shri Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP. This time the people of Delhi are not going to be fooled. Delhiites know that Shri Arvind Kejriwal has never put a single penny in his pocket, rather, he has put all the money in the pockets of the people of Delhi. Therefore, the people of Delhi have decided that they will answer the false arrest and jail of Shri Arvind Kejriwal with their votes.
“The people of Delhi have made up their mind that they will give a befitting reply to those who arrested and jailed Delhiites’ son and brother Shri Arvind Kejriwal in a false case. This time, the people of Delhi will not give even one of the seven seats to BJP and all seven seats will go to INDIA Alliance. The people of Delhi are unfamiliar shouting that they will answer the jail with their votes. BJP knows that it is losing all seven seats in Delhi,” She affirmed.
At the same time, senior AAP leader Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj said that this time’s Lok Sabha election is different from 2019 and 2014. In 2019 and 14, people had a lot of expectations from BJP that it would do something. Today all those expectations have ended. Today people are afraid whether democracy and elections will survive in the country or not. Whether the Constitution and reservation will survive in the country or not. This time the AAP and Congress are contesting the elections together. INDIA Alliance candidate from the AAP from South Delhi, Shri Sahiram Pehalwan has served as MLA for the Tughlakabad assembly constituency for 10 years and has been a councilor before that. People know his track record. That is why the INDIA Alliance is fighting very strongly on all seven seats in Delhi this time.
Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj mentioned that there has been a change in the people of Delhi since March 21. Delhiites are sad and enraged with fury over CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s illegal incarceration. The people of Delhi will answer this to BJP with their votes. BJP also knows that this election is going to be very difficult for them. Shri Arvind Kejriwal used to be the main strategist of the campaign, he used to decide all the talks, hold rallies, public meetings and road shows. All that is not there this time. But the anger among the people due to his absence, will hand over the BJP a significant defeat.
The INDIA Alliance candidate from South Delhi, Shri Sahiram Pehalwan, said that the people will go with the one who has worked for his area and society. This time the election results will be opposite to the last time, and the BJP will stand at the last position. CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal is missed in the whole country, his loss cannot be filled easily, but his wife Smt. Sunita Kejriwal is trying to fill his void as much as possible. Today the people of Delhi are standing against the 10 years of misrule of the BJP and are standing with the 9 years of development of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Delhi will fight, INDIA will win.
AAP workers arrived with AAP’s cap on their heads and ‘jhadu’ in their hands
Accompanied by Cabinet Minister Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj and Ms. Atishi, INDIA Alliance candidate Shri Sahiram Pehalwan embarked on an ‘Ashirwad Yatra’ from Tehkhand to Mehrauli Badarpur via Kalkaji and Ravidas Marg. Carrying the AAP election symbol ‘jhadu’ (broom), Pehalwan urged people to vote for the ‘jhadu’. The Yatra saw a significant turnout of supporters and workers donning party caps and holding ‘jhadu’ symbols. Cabinet Ministers emphasized that Delhiites would respond to those responsible for Arvind Kejriwal’s imprisonment through their votes
