New Delhi, April 30;
Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal congratulated 158 children studying in government schools of Punjab for passing the JEE Mains examination. After Delhi, education revolution has started in Punjab under the leadership of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, and this is its first result. CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal today said that this education revolution was in our dreams and now our dream is coming true. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann shared this information after meeting Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar on Tuesday.
Bhagwant Mann said Arvind Kejriwal ji said that on my behalf, congratulate all the government teachers, 158 children who cleared the exam and their parents.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that he (Shri Arvind Kejriwal) asked me about Delhi and the country. I said I have come via Gujarat, there is mind blowing response in Bharuch and Bhavnagar. And people all over the country are saying that they (BJP-led central government) did wrong to Arvind Kejriwal by arresting him. I told him that they may be thinking that by putting one person in jail, they will silence the voice of the party. “But sir, they may silence your voice by arresting you, but they cannot silence your thinking,” said Bhagwant Mann.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that he informed Shri Arvind Kejriwal about his campaign visit to Assam. He (Arvind Kejriwal) told me to come to Delhi and take the campaigners from Delhi to Punjab also. He further told me that wherever there is a programme of the INDIA alliance, be it in Assam, Gujarat, Maharashtra, UP or Bihar, our leaders must attend. Shri Arvind Kejriwal said this election is not an election to be won or lost, it is an election to save the Constitution and democracy.
Bhagwant Mann told the reporters that Arvind Kejriwal’s health is fine. “Arvind Kejriwal ji told me that now I am getting insulin, and my routine checkups are also being done,” he said.
In response to a question from a reporter whether today’s meeting in jail was held in a better way, Bhagwant Mann said, “Our meeting has been held today also as before. There was a glass wall in between and we were made to talk through an intercom. Perhaps they have decided in their mind that we will not allow them to meet directly. This can be the extreme of their wish and hatred. Arvind Kejriwal has given me the same message that tell people not to worry about him, but definitely go to vote. He said that to save this Constitution and democracy, everyone must vote. Voting must be done to end the dictatorship of the country,” said the Punjab Chief Minister.
Bhagwant Mann said Arvind Kejriwal ji asked me about the well-being of my daughter Niamat who has just turned 1 month old. After this, Arvind Kejriwal asked about the people and farmers of Punjab, because at this time the crops of the farmers are coming to the markets. He asked how is the yield this time? Is there any hindrance in the direct crop money that farmers get under CCL or is there any hindrance in any scheme of Punjab due to the Election Code of Conduct. On which I told him that everything is fine.
