In a bid to expedite development in Delhi’s villages, a two-day special camp has commenced at the Delhi Secretariat, chaired by Delhi Development Minister Gopal Rai. The camp aims to swiftly address and finalize projects and pending proposals related to village development. The Delhi Development Minister highlighted the Kejriwal government’s commitment, noting a budget allocation of approximately ₹900 crores for this purpose. This initiative highlights the Kejriwal government’s dedication to equipping Delhi’s villages with essential facilities comparable to those in urban areas.

During the special camp, Delhi Development Minister Gopal Rai said that CM Arvind Kejriwal had constituted the Delhi Village Development Board to ensure development in the villages of Delhi. This year, the government has kept a budget of about ₹900 crores for the development of Delhi’s villages. Moving forward in this series, a special camp has been organized in the Delhi Secretariat to speed up the development work related to the villages of Delhi.

The Delhi Government Minister continued, stating, “In this special camp, officials of the Development Department, Delhi Village Development Board, MCD, Irrigation and Flood Control Department and other departments settled the projects and pending proposals related to the development work of Delhi’s villages on the spot. These include development work projects related to roads, drains, water bodies, community centres, parks, crematoriums, playgrounds etc. in all the villages of Delhi.”

“Today, through this special camp, in the presence of MLAs and officials, the pending proposals for development of Delhi’s villages have been worked on at a fast pace. Also, if anyone has any doubts about the files related to their assembly, that too has been resolved immediately. In this special camp, files have been settled by the officials and agencies of the concerned department based on the area at each counter. The Kejriwal government is committed to providing every basic facility to the villages of Delhi like the cities,” Minister Gopal Rai concluded.
