Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh said the Tihar Jail of Delhi has become a torture chamber for Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal and the incarcerated leader is being kept under the surveillance of PMO and Lieutenant Governor (LG) office 24 hours a day.
Addressing media persons here today, senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh said by the grace of Hanuman ji, the struggle of the people of Delhi that was going on for the last 23 days fructified as Shri Arvind Kejriwal ji was today administered insulin, which was necessary to save his life, which the AAP had been demanding.
The Rajya Sabha MP said that a Chief Minister, who has been a diabetic for the last 20 to 22 years, the person who arranged medicine for the people of Delhi, set up Mohalla clinics, built hospitals, brought Farishtey scheme (for accident victims) was not being given insulin for the last 23 days. When we repeatedly said that there was a conspiracy to kill him, we were asked why we felt so. Now that thing has come to light, after 23 days of struggle of the people of Delhi, they have now been given insulin. The court formed a panel of AIIMS, formed a team of doctors for his health checkup, he added.
Revealing the facts behind the round-the-clock surveillance of Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal before the media, Shri Sanjay Singh said the Tihar Jail of Delhi has become a torture chamber for Arvind Kejriwal and you will remember that Hitler also used to make torture chambers for his opponents. Arvind Kejriwal ji is being kept under the surveillance of PMO and Lieutenant Governor (LG) office 24 hours a day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his office watch what Arvind Kejriwal is doing 24 hours a day by accessing the CCTV link. After all, why is there so much surveillance, what are you seeing Modi ji, what do you want to see Prime Minister ji. You want to see whether Arvind Kejriwal got medicine or not, whether Arvind Kejriwal got food or not, how much Arvind Kejriwal is reading, how much he is writing, how much he is sleeping. What do you want to see, Modi ji, why does the PMO need a 24-hour CCTV link? You want to see whether Arvind Kejriwal got insulin or not, how sick he is, whether his kidneys, liver got damaged or not, whether his health deteriorated or not. Are you monitoring how much Arvind Kejriwal’s morale comes down, how much he bends. What do you want to see Prime Minister? And you have also engaged an LG, his office in the same work. The LG of Delhi is leaving aside the work of the people of Delhi and is busy seeing how much harassment and torture Arvind Kejriwal is being subjected to. And he is working 24 hours a day on this, and he is also devoting his full attention to this, added the Rajya Sabha MP.
The AAP senior leader said Modi ji, what enmity do you have against Arvind Kejriwal who arranged good education for the children of Delhi, who organized pilgrimage for the elderly of Delhi, made electricity free, made water free. Prime Minister ji, you want to bring down the morale of that Arvind Kejriwal who left the job of IRS, who quit the Chief Minister’s chair in 49 days, he added.
The Rajya Sabha MP said that Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s old parents, who are themselves ill, are saddened to see this condition of their son, seeing this unjust and tyrannical behaviour of yours, Prime Minister. His wife Sunita Kejriwal is worried about his health, the people of Delhi were worried for the last 23 days, the people of the country who love him very much were worried why Arvind Kejriwal, who was arranging medicines and hospitals for the people, was not being given insulin, he added.
Giving a piece of advice to the Prime Minister on healthy competition, Shri Sanjay Singh said, “And that is why Prime Minister, I want to tell you that if you want to compete with (Arvind) Kejriwal, then do politics of work, build a lot of schools, hospitals, roads; reduce inflation, work for the safety of women in the country. You should worry about youth employment, farmers’ suicides, women’s safety, and how the country will move forward.”
Shri Sanjay Singh said instead the Prime Minister’s concern is how Kejriwal’s morale will fall, how Kejriwal will be harassed. You are monitoring that person, a three-time elected Chief Minister, through CCTV 24 hours. This behaviour, this unjust action, this Hitlerism, this dictatorial conduct? Great dictators have left the world, your power will also have to go, the whole country is watching your atrocities. And Prime Minister, when you are seeing so much, you must have also seen that Arvind Kejriwal ji sweeps (with a broom) inside the jail every day, and the more Kejriwal ji sweeps inside the jail, the more the Bharatiya Janata Party will be cleaned outside, it will be wiped out from all over the country. And your nervousness after the first phase of elections is also indicating the same. So, I want to tell you that the PMO, the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the LG office and the LG itself are breaking all the rules and regulations and are monitoring Arvind Kejriwal in jail by asking for CCTV footage and links and are watching him. “Therefore, I have to repeat again and again that a deep conspiracy is going on against Kejriwal and any untoward incident can happen to him at any time and the Prime Minister of the country and his office, the LG office and the LG are directly involved in it,” said the AAP senior leader.
Answering the media’s questions, Shri Sanjay Singh said that the media had been denying the news of Arvind Kejriwal not getting insulin, they were making fun of it. The BJP people were also celebrating the news of Arvind Kejriwal illness. But ultimately the court directed the AIIMS to constitute a panel of doctors. Why did the court have to intervene in this? Shouldn’t the jail administration have done this work earlier? If there was no conspiracy going on against Kejriwal, then he would not have been denied insulin, which is essential for his life.
