AAP Chief Spokesperson and MLA Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj on Sunday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is afraid of Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal and is attempting to weaken the ‘Education Model’ of Delhi by likely arresting Delhi Education Minister Shri Manish Sisodia.
He further added that the allegations against Shri Manish Sisodia are ridiculous and if someone had really taken a bribe of Rs. 10,000 crore as claimed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the money would have been found somewhere, but the CBI has not found even a penny with the Delhi Education Minister.
AAP Delhi Convenor and Environment Minister Shri Gopal Rai also reiterated the point that PM Modi is so scared of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal that preparations are being made to arrest Delhi Education Minister Shri Manish Sisodia.
AAP Senior Leader and Kalkaji MLA Ms Atishi said that the Delhi Police officials have stationed themselves outside the homes of AAP councillors, which she added is clear that the police are afraid to arrest Shri Manish Sisodia. She said that if they were not afraid of arresting the Education Minister then all of this would not have been happening in the country.
Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the CBI was likely to arrest Shri Manish Sisodia that day and highlighted how the allegations against the Dy CM were ridiculous. He added that with so much money, any person would likely have brought property and some assets or invested in a company. But after conducting multiple raids in the last one year, the CBI has found not even a single penny on the Dy CM. He further said that Shri Manish Sisodia is a person who wakes up at 6 am and conducts surprise inspections in 3-4 government schools a day to ensure that the children across Delhi are getting the best of facilities.
Shri Gopal Rai said that it is very unfortunate that the country’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is afraid of Shri Arvind Kejriwal and therefore all these preparations have been made today to arrest Delhi Education Minister Shri Manish Sisodia. He added that several party workers of AAP were on their way to Rajghat to express their support for the Dy CM, but they were detained on the way by the Delhi Police. He further said that the Delhi Police also reached the homes of Aam Aadmi Party MLAs and councillors and detained them.
Ms Atishi also held a press conference in the morning and said that Delhi Police has stationed itself outside the residence of party councillors. She added that it was very clear that the police are afraid to arrest the Delhi Education Minister. Media personnel are also being stopped at the police barricades, she added and said that if the police is not afraid of falsely accusing Manish Sisodia and arresting him, then they should let the country see what is happening.
In summary, the AAP leaders allege that the BJP is trying to weaken the education model of Delhi and is afraid of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, leading to preparations to arrest Delhi Education Minister Shri Manish Sisodia. They further assert that the allegations against Shri Manish Sisodia are ridiculous and that the police are afraid to arrest him.
