The Aam Aadmi Party came down heavily on BJP for bringing disgrace to the election campaigns in the run up to MCD polls. AAP Delhi State Convenor and Cabinet Minister Shri Gopal Rai thrashed the BJP for spreading misinformation regarding the treatment received by Shri Satyendar Jain. He also exposed BJP’s conspiracy to attack AAP MLA Shri Gulab Singh Yadav. Shri Gopal Rai said, “There are two types of completely contrasting campaigns going on before MCD elections. BJP is campaigning to sling dirt while the AAP is campaigning for the progress of Delhi. BJP’s problem is not the treatment Satyendar Jain is receiving; their actual problem is that Delhiites are going to fix them for once and all on December 4th. While reacting to the allegations leveled by BJP on Shri Satyendar Jain, AAP Delhi State Convener and Cabinet Minister Shri Gopal Rai said, “Election campaigning has been going on in Delhi for the last 10 days. During this time, two types of campaigning have come to surface. One of them belongs to those who work for the progress and welfare of People and other belongs to those who only know how to malign people. Entire focus has been reduced to these issues. On one side, there is AAP which want to make Delhi garbage free, remove the mountains of garbage from Delhi, solve menace of stray animals and all the civic issues created by BJP incompetency, once people bring us to power by pressing the Jhaadu button on December 4th. We will discharge the responsibility of MCD diligently. On the other hand, the BJP is working on its agenda to malign Shri Arvind Kejriwal for 5 years. Their slogan is ‘Badnaam Kiya hai, Badnaam Karenge’ while Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s slogan is ‘Kaam Kiya hai, Kaam Karenge’. Be it Shri Satyendar Jain’s case, Shri Manish Sisodia’s case, Shri Jasmine Shah’s case or the recent sting operation, BJP has absolutely no issue to raise in the elections.
Shri Gopal Rai said, “The present Home Minister of India, Shri Amit Shah, was once imprisoned in a jail in Gujarat. A special jail was made for him at the time and in it he was provided with special facilities. In the history of the country, no other person has been provided such facilities in any jail. This has been said by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the record. The BJP should first put those documents in public domain and inform the people about the special facilities that Amit Shah was given. However, in reality, the issue is not about the treatment that Satyendra Jain is receiving in jail. The main issue is that the BJP is going to receive a ‘treatment’ from the residents of Delhi on December 4th. On the date of polling, it is the people who need to decide whether to vote for a party that works for them or to vote for those who only defame others.
Speaking on the matter of violence against AAP MLA Shri Gulab Singh, Shri Gopal Rai said, “People have been constantly contacting the Aam Aadmi Party. But the BJP is without any agenda before the MCD elections and therefore they planned this attack. It is said that the workers involved in the incident were of the Aam Aadmi Party, but it is a BJP leader that reached the police station. I think that until December 2nd, we are going to see several other such events as the BJP does not have any other agenda for the elections. Perhaps some fortune teller has told the BJP that to get the votes of the people in the elections, all that they need to do is abuse Kejriwal. The people of Delhi had voted for Shri Arvind Kejriwal so that the promises made to the people would be fulfilled and the Delhi CM is seeking votes of the people in the name of development. If people want to see development then they will need Shri Arvind Kejriwal.”
He added, “BJP only believes in the politics of distraction and it is to avoid being answerable for their 15-year tenure in the MCD that they have been indulging in mudslinging. People ask the BJP what they have done in 15 years and they say ‘look we have done a sting operation’. People ask ‘why is there garbage strewn all over the city’ and BJP says ‘look this politician is asking money for the ticket’. People ask ‘why these three landfills have not been removed’ and BJP says ‘look at what is happening inside Tihar Jail’.”
Shri Gopal Rai concluded, “We will see what is happening in Tihar jail, we will also see all the sting operation that BJP fabricates, but we will also hold BJP accountable for what they have done in the MCD in the last 15 years. We will not let the BJP run away, we will ensure that they are made to answer for their mismanagement. The ruling party’s slogan is ‘Bhaag BJP Bhaag’, but we will not let them escape. The BJP is trying to hide behind these fake sting operations and fake letters written to the government, but we will expose them. The election is not limited to holding press conferences and roadshows, it eventually boils down to coming to the people of the state. The BJP will have to answer the questions asked by the people. Today none of the BJP candidates are able to do that. The last time the BJP got away by apologising to the people and accepting that their councillors were corrupt. They said that they would bring in fresh faces because of it. But this time the BJP cannot even make that excuse.”

आम आदमी पार्टी के दिल्ली प्रदेश संयोजक एवं कैबिनेट मंत्री गोपाल राय ने भाजपा द्वारा ‘आप’ मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन पर लगाए जा रहे आरोपों पर प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए कहा कि दिल्ली में पिछले 10 दिनों से प्रचार अभियान चल रहा है। दिल्ली में दो तरह का प्रचार दिख रहा है, एक काम करने वालों का प्रचार और दूसरा बदनाम करने वालों का प्रचार। पूरी एमसीडी चुनाव प्रचार का केंद्र बिंदु मुद्दों पर सिमट गया है। एक तरफ आम आदमी पार्टी है जो कह रही है कि 4 दिसंबर को झाड़ू की बटन दबाओगे तो हम दिल्ली को कूड़ा मुक्त बनाएंगे, दिल्ली से कूड़े के पहाड़ों को हटाएंगे, भाजपा की समस्या का समाधान करेंगे, दिल्ली में बेसहारा पशुओं की समस्याओं का समाधान करेंगे, दिल्ली में तमाम तरह की समस्याएं जिनका समाधान करना एमसीडी की जिम्मेदारी है, उनका समाधान करेंगे। दूसरी तरफ भाजपा का एजेंडा है कि हम 5 साल अरविंद केजरीवाल को बदनाम करेंगे। उनका नारा है, बदनाम किया है बदनाम करेंगे इसलिए हमें वोट दो। अरविंद केजरीवाल का क्या नारा है, काम किया है काम करेंगे इसलिए हमें वोट दो। चाहे सत्येंद्र जैन का मामला हो, मनीष सिसोदिया का मामला हो, किसी और विभाग का मामला हो, जैस्मिन शाह का मामला हो या स्टिंग ऑपरेशन का मामला हो, भाजपा के पास कोई मुद्दा नहीं है।
उन्होंने कहा कि देश के गृह मंत्री अमित शाह जी एक बार गुजरात की जेल में बंद थे। उनके लिए एक खास जेल बनाई गई थी, जिसमें उन्हें खास सुविधाएं दी जा रही थीं। देश के इतिहास में ना तो किसी को ऐसी जेल मिली ना ऐसी सुविधाएं। यह सीबीआई ने ऑन रिकॉर्ड पेपर दर्ज किया हुआ है। भाजपा उसे सामने रख दे कि कैसा ट्रीटमेंट दिया गया था। मसला यह नहीं है कि सत्येंद्र जैन को ट्रीटमेंट मिल रहा है। मसला यह है कि 4 तारीख को भाजपा का दिल्ली की जनता ट्रीटमेंट करने जा रही है। 4 तारीख को जनता फैसला करेगी कि काम करने वालों को वोट देना है या बदनाम करने वालों को वोट देना है।
गोपाल राय ने ‘आप’ विधायक गुलाब सिंह की पिटाई के मामले पर कहा कि लोग लगातार आम आदमी पार्टी से संपर्क कर रहे हैं। लेकिन भाजपा इतनी मुद्दा विहीन है की गुलाब सिंह पर प्लान करके हमला कराया जाता है। कार्यकर्ता आम आदमी पार्टी के कहे जाते हैं लेकिन थाने में पहुंचता है भाजपा का नेता। मुझे ऐसा लग रहा है कि अगली 2 तारीख तक भाजपा इन्हीं सबके माध्यम से चुनाव लड़ना चाहती है। शायद उनको किसी ने गुरु मंत्र दिया है कि केजरीवाल को गाली दोगे तो वोट मिलेगा। दिल्ली वालों ने काम करने के लिए केजरीवाल को वोट दिया था और केजरीवाल काम करने के लिए वोट मांग रहे हैं। काम चाहिए तो केजरीवाल चाहिए।
उन्होंने कहा कि भाजपा जवाब से बचने के लिए रोजाना बहाना ढूंढती है कि 15 सालों का उन्हें हिसाब ना देना पड़े। लोग पूछते हैं कि 15 सालों में आपने क्या किया है, वह कहते हैं कि देखो हमने स्टिंग ऑपरेशन किया है। लोग कहते हैं कि पूरी दिल्ली कूड़ाकूड़ा क्यों है, भाजपा कहती है देखो वह टिकट के लिए पैसा मांग रहा था। लोग पूछते हैं कि यह तीन कूड़े के पहाड़ क्यों नहीं हटा पा रहे हैं, भाजपा कहती है कि देखो तिहाड़ जेल में क्या हो रहा है।
तिहाड़ में जो हो रहा है उसको भी देखेंगे, स्टिंग ऑपरेशन भी देखेंगे, सब कुछ देखेंगे लेकिन भाजपा के 15 सालों के कामों का हिसाब भी देखेंगे। भाजपा भाग नहीं पाएगी, जवाब तो देना पड़ेगा। भाग भाजपा भाग का जो नारा चल रहा है। फर्जी स्टिंग और फर्जी छुट्टियों के पीछे जो चेहरा छुपा रहे हो, वह चेहरा छुपने वाला नहीं है। क्योंकि चुनाव अब प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस और रोड शो से नीचे जाकर गली में पहुंच चुका है। गलियों में तो जवाब देना पड़ेगा। आज भाजपा का कोई भी उम्मीदवार जवाब नहीं दे पा रहा है। पिछली बार इन्होंने माफी मांगकर काम चला लिया था। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारे सारे पार्षद भ्रष्ट हैं इसलिए सबके टिकट काट रहे हैं, एक मौका और दे दो। अब तो भाजपा के पास वह भी बहाना नहीं है।
