Artistes protested in a novel way on Monday against the conspiratorial arrest of Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal in the ‘Play for Change’ program under the ‘Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se’ campaign run by the Aam Aadmi Party. The artistes, through their songs accompanied by dhol-manjire (drums and cymbals) performed at Connaught Place.
The artistes raised awareness about the facilities provided by the Kejriwal government, including good education, health, electricity, and water through the play and also appealed to strengthen the hands of Shri Arvind Kejriwal in the Parliament.
Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and MLA Shri Dilip Pandey also participated in this program. He said that ED, CBI and IT are being misused by the BJP. The people of the country are not liking this. Therefore, now the whole country has stood against the BJP and has decided to answer the jail politics of the BJP through their votes.
Addressing the media about the event, the senior Aam Aadmi Party leader stated that the AAP has been running the ‘Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se’ campaign throughout Delhi. Delhi and the whole country witnessed how the BJP is trying to win elections through high-handedness and dictatorship. The BJP are misusing the ED, CBI, IT Department to win elections. The people of the country are not liking this at all, they do not support what the BJP is doing. So, this time the country is going to be united against them. The people have made up their minds to answer the BJP’s policy of sending opposition leaders to jail with their votes.
Shri Dilip Pandey said the people have understood that if the BJP continues to rule at the Centre, the consequences will turn out to be dangerous for the country. They have realized that the BJP is against youth’s employment, they are against the reduction of inflation, they are against brotherhood and harmony in the country, they’re against Baba Saheb’s Constitution and democratic values. This is why the country is standing together to fight against the BJP. People of Delhi and the entire country have made up their minds and are determined to uproot the BJP from power.
Shri Dilip Pandey said that the poll outcomes of the election phases held so far clearly shows how the BJP is nervous and frustrated. Their increasing fear and restlessness are clear proof that they are losing the ground. People of Delhi and the country are ready to answer to jail by voting. The Chief Whip of AAP in Delhi Assembly also wished good luck to the country saying that the people are heading in the right direction. The BJP’s fear of losing is quite evident as the way their leaders are behaving. People of Delhi and the country have decided to uproot the BJP from the Centre, they have decided to end their rule, their high-handedness, and dictatorship. And when the public decides to do something, nobody can stop them, he concluded.
