The AAP’s national convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal has given a befitting reply to Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah for threatening to topple Sardar Bhagwant Mann’s government in Punjab. He said that on June 1, the people of Punjab will answer to Amit Shah’s threat to topple the “Mann Government” with their votes. Shri Amit Shah, in Ludhiana on Sunday, openly threatened Punjabis that after June 4, the AAP government you have elected will be toppled and Sardar Bhagwant Mann will no longer be the Chief Minister.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that the people of Punjab will never tolerate such threats and appealed to them to strengthen the AAP at the Centre by giving all 13 seats to them.
Addressing the media persons at Bathinda here today, AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal said as Mann saheb just said that yesterday Home Minister Amit Shah ji came to Ludhiana and there first he abused the people of Punjab and then left after threatening the 3 crore people of entire Punjab that after June 4, the government that the people of Punjab have elected will be toppled. And the person whom you people have made your Chief Minister will be removed from the post of Chief Minister. “Till date no Home Minister in this country has used this kind of hooliganism and this kind of language that he goes to a state and does hooliganism like this and openly threatens the entire public there. In a way, he challenged the people of entire Punjab, the Punjabis,” he said.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said as Mann saheb also told just now, ever since he (Amit Shah) has said this, there is a lot of anger among the people of Punjab about this. Since morning, I have also received many calls asking what Amit Shah ji thinks of himself and what he thinks of the people of Punjab. People want to ask Amit Shah ji that out of 117, there are 92 MLAs (of AAP), you have three MLAs, how will you topple the government of these 92 MLAs, what plan do you have. “Will you scare the people of Punjab by sending ED, will you scare them by sending CBI or will you buy them? For how much will you buy the Punjabis, how much money do you have, how much will you put on the Punjabis. And you will impose President’s rule here, what plan have you made, what conspiracy have you hatched to topple the elected government of Punjab and remove the Chief Minister. I want to ask the people of Punjab whether you will tolerate this kind of hooliganism,” said the AAP supremo.
The Delhi Chief Minister said the people of Punjab have a big heart, if you had asked with love, they would have given you one or two seats, but if you do it by threatening them and hooliganism like this, then you will see Amit Shah ji, that things will become very difficult for you. Stop threatening the people of Punjab like this, he added.
The AAP National Convenor said their (BJP’s) only aim is to end the free electricity that is being provided in Punjab. They want to stop the free electricity of Punjab at any cost. They give me this kind of threat in Delhi too and now they have started threatening Punjab. “I want to tell the people of Punjab that if you want continuation of free electricity, then give all 13 seats to the Aam Aadmi Party or else God knows what all conspiracies they will hatch. Strengthen the hands of the Aam Aadmi Party, give all 13 seats to the Aam Aadmi Party, strengthen the hands of Bhagwant Mann saheb here so that we can be strong enough to fight on your behalf with the Centre,” said Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
The Delhi Chief Minister said two years ago, they stopped the farmers who were marching towards Delhi (during the farmers’ movement). Delhi does not belong to anyone’s father; Delhi belongs to 140 crore people. It is the capital of the country; anyone can go to Delhi. The farmers of Punjab were stopped at the border of Delhi, nails were put on the road, big boulders were placed, and they were not allowed to enter Delhi. The farmers sat there for a year, but their (BJP’s) dictatorship did not end and within this one year 700 farmers lost their lives, most of those 700 farmers were from Punjab.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said these people hate the people of Punjab, the Punjabis. The duo of Modi and Amit Shah hates the people of Punjab. Our government was formed in Punjab, the people of Punjab can vote for anyone as per their wish. The Constitution says that in a democracy you can vote for anyone in the elections, they elected and sent our government. “And since our government has been formed, the central government has stopped its funds of Rs 9000 crore which the people of Punjab were entitled to. (This included) Rs 5500 crore under RDF (rural development fund) with which roads were to be built in every village, money of National Health Mission with which Mohalla clinics were to be built. They stopped Rs 9000 crore because they do not want Punjab to develop, they want to stop the development of Punjab. Why, what is your fault? Is this the fault of the people of Punjab that you elected the Aam Aadmi Party government,” he said.
The AAP National Convenor said what they did yesterday was beyond limits, it was outright high-handedness and dictatorship. Now these dictatorial people are saying that we will topple the government of Punjab and remove the Chief Minister. “I want to tell Shri Amit Shah that think about forming your own government before June 4, think about yourself. Stop threatening the people of Punjab. This time when the people of Punjab will press the button, they will teach you a lesson and respond to your threats,” he said.

“Today, like Sardar Bhagwant Mann said that it has been only two years since we formed our government in Punjab, and we have already provided free and 24×7 power supply to people, free treatment and medicines through Mohalla clinics. We did so much work in just two years. But the Prime Minister has not done any work in the last 10 years,” said the AAP supremo.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said now they say that Sardar Bhagwant Mann is an urban Naxal, if you vote for him then he will take even the taps of your houses and run away.
