Stepping out of confinement, AAP’s National Convenor and Delhi’s Chief Minister, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, wasted no time in taking aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP’s sinister motives. The AAP Supremo asserted that the BJP and PM Modi are orchestrating a perilous game of ‘One Nation, One Leader’. With unyielding resolve, the Delhi CM emphasized that his incarceration was a strategic move by Modi to quell opposition voices, recognizing AAP’s potential threat to the BJP’s dominance. Shri Arvind Kejriwal warned of a grim future where main opposition voices, including Mamata Banerjee, MK Stalin, Uddhav Thackeray, and Tejashwi Yadav, could face similar suppression if PM Modi secures victory.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal highlighted the diminished political stature of veteran BJP leaders like Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sumitra Mahajan, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Manohar Lal Khattar, signalling a trend towards authoritarianism within the BJP’s ranks. As he pledges to combat dictatorship with unwavering determination, Shri Arvind Kejriwal has implored the nation’s 140-crore citizens to join him in safeguarding democracy against encroaching tyranny.
AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal mentioned, “I am coming amongst you all directly from the jail. It feels great to be amongst you after 50 days. Just now, my wife and Bhagwant Maan went to Prachin Hanuman Mandir of Connaught Place, took blessings of Hanuman ji, had his darshan, then went to Shiv ji’s temple, went to Shani Maharaj and took everyone’s blessings. Bajrang Bali ji has blessed us, our party and the country people. Because of his blessings, I am suddenly amongst you today, otherwise nobody expected that I would be released from jail in the middle of elections. But Hanuman ji’s blessings were upon us and a miracle happened and today I am amongst you all.”
The AAP Supremo continued, “Our Aam Aadmi Party is a very small party, it has governments in just two states, it is a 10-year-old party. The Prime Minister left no stone unturned in crushing our party. He sent four top leaders of our party to jail at once_ Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Satyender Jain. If the top four leaders of big parties go to jail, the party gets finished. He sent four top leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party to jail, and he thought that the AAP would be finished but this is not a party but a thought, the more they (BJP) try to finish it, the more it grows.”
Shri Arvind Kejriwal further added that the Prime Minister wants to crush the AAP. Many of the people who go to meet Modi ji know us too, they come out and tell us that whoever goes to meet Modi ji, first he talks about Kejriwal and AAP for 10-15 minutes. Modi ji tells them that in the coming time, AAP is the one which will shape the future of the country. He himself believes this, that is why he wants that the AAP should be stopped from growing today itself, it should be crushed. “This is sheer dictatorship. If they feel that AAP is going to challenge the BJP in the coming time, then you do good work, give the future to the country. Today you have a government at the Centre. If you work for the country, then no one will care about the AAP. But you do not do any work and crush the AAP, this is not democracy. They left no stone unturned in crushing the AAP,” he added.
“We are small people, ours is a small party. In 75 years, no party and its leaders have been harassed the way Prime Minister Modi has tried to harass the AAP. They put me in jail. The Prime Minister is saying that he is fighting corruption, but he has inducted the country’s biggest thieves and dacoits in his party. People about whom Modi ji used to say 10 days ago that he has committed a scam of ₹70,000 crores, after a few days, he includes this person in his party, makes someone the deputy CM, makes someone a minister and closes all their ED and CBI cases, and yet says that he is fighting corruption,” the AAP chief expressed.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal shared, “I want to tell Modiji that if you want to fight corruption, learn from Kejriwal. Prime Minister, Kejriwal has fought the battle against corruption. In 2015, when our government was formed in Delhi, someone sent me an audio of one of our ministers on WhatsApp. In that audio, my minister was demanding ₹5,00,000 from a shopkeeper, nobody from the media, the opposition knew about it. You all must remember, I handed over my own minister to the CBI and sent him to jail. This is the fight against corruption. In Punjab, I came to know that one of my ministers was demanding money in corruption, the opposition and the media did not know about it, CM Maan Sahab immediately put that minister in jail.”
“You (PM Modi) include all the corrupts, thieves and dacoits of the country in your party and send Kejriwal to jail and say that you’re fighting against corruption, then you are not fighting against corruption Prime Minister. Do not think of the compatriots as fools, every child says that you have inducted all the thieves and dacoits in your party, you have got rid of all their ED and CBI. Why has Kejriwal been arrested? By arresting Kejriwal, he (PM Modi) has given a message to the entire country that if he can arrest Kejriwal, then he can arrest anyone. There will be no case, no matter, even then he can arrest you,” he affirmed.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said the Prime Minister has started a very dangerous mission. The compatriots need to understand that. “The name of that mission is One Nation, One Leader. Modi ji wants to eliminate all the leaders of the country and is running this mission at two levels. He will send all the opposition leaders to jail and will dispose of all the BJP leaders and will end their politics,” he said.
As far as jailing the opposition leaders is concerned, the AAP supremo said they have sent Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Satyendar Jain, Kejriwal, Hemant Soren, many ministers of Mamata Didi and (MK) Stalin to jail and they are after the CM of Kerala. If they win the election, get me to write on the affidavit, after a few days Mamta Didi, Tejashwi Yadav, Stalin, Pinarayi Vijayan, Uddhav Thackeray and all the opposition leaders will be in jail.
Highlighting how the BJP veterans were cut down to size after Shri Narendra Modi came to power, the AAP National Convenor said they did not spare a single BJP leader. “They ended Advani ji’s, Murli Manohar Joshi’s and Sumitra Mahajan’s politics. Shivraj Singh Chauhan, who won the Madhya Pradesh elections, these people did not make Shivraj Singh Chauhan the Chief Minister, they ended his politics. They ended the politics of Vasundhara Raje, Khattar Saheb, Dr. Raman Singh,” said Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
Hinting at the possible threat posed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the war of succession to Shri Narendra Modi, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said now it is Yogi Adityanath’s turn. “If he (Modi) wins the election, get it in writing from me, he will change the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh within two months. They will end Adityanath’s politics and get rid of him. This is dictatorship. They want one nation, one leader. Only one dictator will survive in this country,” he said.
Seeking support from compatriots to fight the ongoing dictatorship, the Delhi Chief Minister said our country is very great, our country is 4000 years old. Before this, there were many occasions in the last 4000 years when dictators tried to take over this country, but the people of our country uprooted those dictators. Whenever such an opportunity came in our country when a dictator tried to take over our country, the people of this country uprooted him. Today a dictator wants to eliminate democracy from this country. I am fighting with my whole body, mind, and all means, I am struggling against that dictator. I want the support of 140-crore people, it won’t happen by my efforts alone. I have come to beg 140-crore people to save my country, save my India from this dictatorship.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said I want to thank the Supreme Court very much; they have given me 21 days. There are 24 hours in a day. I will work 36 hours a day. I will travel across the country to stop this dictatorship with all possible strength. I have sacrificed everything for my country, my body, mind, wealth, everything has been sacrificed for my country, every drop of my blood, every moment of my life for my country, to save my country. I will go across the country.
The AAP National Convenor said now I am going to tell you a very important thing, listen to me carefully. These people ask the INDIA alliance, who will be your Prime Minister? I ask the BJP who will be your Prime Minister? You people must be wondering what Kejriwal is talking about, it must be Modi ji. No, Modi ji is turning 75 on 17th September next year. “Modi ji himself had made a rule in 2014 that whoever is 75 years old in the BJP will retire. First Advani ji was retired, then Murli Manohar Joshi ji was retired, then Sumitra Mahajan was retired, then Yashwant Sinha was retired. Now Modi ji is going to retire on 17th September next year. So, I want to ask the BJP, who is your Prime Ministerial candidate?” reasoned Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
Cautioning the voters that if they vote for the BJP, they will be voting for Amit Shah, not Modi as Prime Minister, Shri Arvind Kejriwal said if their government is formed, then first they will dispose of Yogi ji in the next two months and after that they will make Modi ji’s most important person, Amit Shah, the Prime Minister by September 17 next year. So, I want to warn the people of the country that Modi ji is not asking for votes for himself, Modi ji is asking for votes to make Amit Shah the Prime Minister. I want to ask Modi ji and Amit Shah ji, who will fulfill ‘Modi’s Guarantee’? Will Amit Shah fulfill Modi’s guarantee? Although I do not think that their government will be formed, but whoever goes to vote for the BJP, should think that you are not voting in the name of Modi ji, you are voting in the name of Amit Shah.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal stated, “Now there’s good news for all of you, please tell everyone. I have thought about all of this very carefully during my 50 days in jail. It’s been 20 hours since I am out of jail, in these 20 hours, I was only talking to people throughout the night. I talked to the public, I talked to various experts, including election analysts and psephologists. My own assessment is that after June 4, the Modi-led BJP government is not going to be in power. If I am wrong then tell me, their seats are decreasing in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Bihar, and West Bengal. Where are their seats increasing? There is not even one region where their seats are rising. According to my own opinion and the speculations in the betting market, they are going to have seats somewhere between 220-230, not more than that.”
“The Modi government is not being formed at the centre; the INDIA alliance will form the central government this time. The Aam Aadmi Party will be a part of the central government and we will give full statehood to Delhi. Delhi’s LG will be the LG of people, of Delhiites, he will think of Delhiites and their development, not like the current LG who has come from Gujarat…” he continued.
The National Convenor of the AAP said, “Another important point that I want to address is that when I was in jail, some people raised the issue that why did Kejriwal not resign from the CM post? Let me make it clear that Kejriwal has never been tempted by any position, I did not come here to become a Minister, Chief Minister or Prime Minister. I quit my job as an Income Tax Commissioner to work for the people of Delhi, I have worked in the slums for 10 years in Sunder Nagri and Nand Nagri. When I became the Chief Minister of Delhi for the first time, I resigned in 49 days solely to abide by my principles. Even a peon doesn’t quit his job, people can go to any length to become the CM but I myself gave up my job as the CM within 49 days. CM’s post is not important to me. Why didn’t I resign now, even when I was in jail?”
Shri Arvind Kejriwal stated that in the last 75 years, so many elections have been held in so many states in India, the Aam Aadmi Party won with the biggest historic majority in Delhi, our party won with absolute majority, with 55-56% votes, once 67 seats, once 62 seats. No other government has won with such a large majority. Despite winning with an absolute majority, we had to face so many challenges. The BJP knows that they cannot defeat us in Delhi, nobody can defeat the AAP in Delhi in the next 20 years, so they hatched a political conspiracy to send me to jail in a fake case. They thought that Kejriwal will have to resign, and his government will be toppled. They hatched a conspiracy, so I decided I will also not resign. “If you (BJP) put democracy behind bars, then we will run democracy from jail. We will also run the government from jail. We will not resign, we will not come in your trap,” he affirmed.
The AAP chief further said, “Shri Hemant Soren should also not have resigned; he should have run the government from jail. If we resign as per their trap, it would be perfect for them. The states where they cannot win, they will put the Chief Ministers behind bars and topple the governments in those regions. Today, if I am not resigning and running the government from jail, understand that this is my struggle against dictatorship. I am not tempted by any position; I can sacrifice hundreds of positions for the sake of my country.”
Expressing gratitude to his supporters, the CM of Delhi said that I also came to know that many people cried when I was arrested, especially my mothers and sisters (women in Delhi), and all the women cried a lot. Many of you wished for me, crores of people sent their blessings for me from all over the world. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who prayed for me, it is your blessings that today I am standing here, amongst you all,” he concluded.
Whenever a leader had illusion of being bigger than people, public broke his illusion: Sardar Bhagwant Mann
During this, Punjab CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann said that dictatorship was continuously spreading in the country. I would call it ‘was’, because in the first three rounds Modi ji has come to know that this time he is not going to cross 400, but he is not even going to win. That is why he has changed the tone of his speech. This is the day of Arvind Kejriwal’s supporters, they had anger against this tyranny for a long time, even the opponents were saying that this is wrong. You want to win by getting ED, CBI raids on the opposition leaders, putting them in jail, this will not happen. This is a democracy, people are bigger paramount. Whenever a leader has had the illusion that I am bigger than the people, only then the people have broken his illusion. Because in democracy, whenever the public wants, the person is on the throne, whenever the public wants, the person is on the ground.
The Punjab CM quipped that there is a very happy atmosphere in the Aam Aadmi Party office and there is silence just a short distance away from here (BJP office). People are asking each other how this happened, what will we do now? Now our responsibility has risen up, because only 20 days are left. There are elections in Delhi on 25 May and in Punjab on 1 June. We have time till 30 May to campaign. So where earlier we used to work for 12 hours, in these 20 days we have to work for 18 hours.
Arvind Kejriwal was away from batting for some time, now he has again come on pitch to hit fours and sixes: Sardar Bhagwant Mann
Punjab CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann said that I had just said in the rally in Shahkot, Jalandhar, that if everything goes well then, our ‘Babbar Sher’ (lion) is coming out and he (Shri Arvind Kejriwal) came out. And like my earlier affirmations have proved to be true, this affirmation will also prove to be true that on June 4, the government will not be formed at the Centre without the Aam Aadmi Party. Our government will be formed, you will have a share in the government of the country. We were waiting just to see this day. When a man faces any crisis, his loyalty is tested at that time. Those who stand together in times of crisis are organic. Some people left during times of crisis.
He said that Shri Arvind Kejriwal has again come to bat on his pitch. He was not out but only retired hurt. He was kept away from batting for a while. But the bat is the same and the pitch is also the same and the most important thing is that the sixes and fours are the same and the ground is also the same. Shri Arvind Kejriwal started work as soon as he arrived. Many leaders come out and rest for 10-10 days, but he said that first I want to talk to my people eye to eye.
I would also like to share the good news from Punjab. Since we are fighting separately in Punjab, this time the defeat of the BJP and Congress is clear in Punjab. The Aam Aadmi Party is winning all the 13 seats there. In the rest of the country, we are fighting with the INDIA alliance to save the Constitution because if there is no Constitution then what will we do by becoming a party or Chief Minister. This is an election to save democracy. 20-30 years from now, the name of Shri Arvind Kejriwal and the 2-crore people of Delhi will appear in history for saving the Constitution and democracy. The BJP messed with the wrong person at the wrong time.
Whenever I met Arvind Kejriwal in jail, he first asked about condition of people of Delhi, Punjab: Sardar Bhagwant Mann
Sardar Bhagwant Mann said that whenever we met Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail, he first asked about the condition of the people of Delhi. He asked whether any such order has been passed which is causing problems to the people of Delhi. How is the situation in Punjab, how is the wheat production, has the grain been lifted from the mandis? Even in jail, he was worried about people every moment. The Aam Aadmi Party is seeking votes on its work of 8 years in Delhi. I am asking for votes only on my work of last 2 years in Punjab. We provided 43,000 jobs in Punjab, free electricity bills for 90% of the houses, canal water facility for agriculture, bringing food grains to the mandis, ration at every door and ₹1 crore as honorarium to the families of martyrs. In Punjab, we closed 16 toll plazas, due to which Punjabis are saving ₹58.77 lakh every day.
The Punjab government bought a private thermal plant, whereas Modi has only sold everything, we are buying everything. We do politics of work, not name, we are asking for votes in the name of work. But even with nominal opposition for 10 years, if the Prime Minister has to seek votes in the name of Mangalsutra, then it is a matter of shame. As soon as the elections come, the Prime Minister only talks about India, Pakistan, Muslims, graveyard, crematorium, Mangalsutra, cow, buffalo and goat. Terms like inflation, unemployment, poverty, infrastructure are not in their dictionary. So, change the dictionary this time. You should choose those whose dictionaries have terms like education, health, free electricity, infrastructure and development of the country.

Party headquarters turns into rally ground
Although Shri Arvind Kejriwal had reached the party headquarters to hold a press conference, seeing the huge crowd of supporters, he did not consider it appropriate to hold a press conference in a closed room. CM Arvind Kejriwal took blessings of Bajrang Bali along with his wife
As per the pre-announced program, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal reached the ‘Prachin Hanuman Mandir’ of Connaught Place on Saturday morning. During this, tight security arrangements were in place. Shri Arvind Kejriwal was accompanied by his wife, Smt. Sunita Kejriwal, and Punjab CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann in the police security ring. Along with this, AAP MP Shri Sanjay Singh, AAP Delhi State Convenor Shri Gopal Rai, Ministers Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj and Ms. Atishi, INDIA Alliance candidate from the New Delhi Shri Somnath Bharti, senior leaders Shri Sanjeev Jha, Shri Jasmine Shah along with senior leaders and MLAs and a large number of supporters also reached to have ‘darshan’ of Hanuman ji. As soon as CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal arrived, his supporters gave him a grand welcome with the slogan of ‘Jai Bajrang Bali’. The CM bowed down at the feet of Bajrang Bali and took his blessings. During this, the ‘Mahant’ of the temple applied ‘Tilak’ on him and made him wear a yellow-coloured Shri Ram Patta.
