On the occasion of Hanuman Janmotsav in Delhi on Thursday, Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj led a grand procession in his assembly constituency in the National Capital. The Shobha Yatra, accompanied by drums and bands, was joined by hundreds of people, and the city reverberated with songs, dances, and chants of “Jai Shri Ram, Jai Hanuman.” Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj also distributed prasad to the people of the area on this auspicious occasion.
The procession was met with enthusiasm not only by the Hindu community, but also from members of the Muslim and Sikh communities. The latter groups presented a heart-warming example of humanity and mutual love by welcoming the Shobha Yatra with flowers and presenting Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj with Hanuman ji’s mace. Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj later tweeted, “This is Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Delhi, where the Shobha Yatra was embraced by the Muslim community. Kamaluddin Sahab gave me the mace and said that unity is the greatest religion, and festivals are for everyone, without hatred between us”.
Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj also went on to participate in the procession that followed for around 8-10 kilometres. The Shobha Yatra was completed peacefully without any heavy security and arrangements. Apart from this, Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj reached the ancient Hanuman Temple in Chirag Delhi village and worshiped it. After worshiping, he himself distributed the prasad of Bhandara to the people.
