Senior Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Tuesday said Delhi chief minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, who worked “like a son and a brother for the country and the people of Delhi”, sent out a message from jail. “My name is Arvind Kejriwal, and I am not a terrorist,” said Sanjay Singh.
Addressing the media persons here today, Shri Sanjay Singh said Shri Arvind Kejriwal ji has sent a message to the people of the country, to the people of Delhi, to the people for whom he worked like a son and brother, that “my name is Arvind Kejriwal, and I am not a terrorist”.
Shri Sanjay Singh said the BJP and the Prime Minister are treating Shri Arvind Kejriwal as a terrorist. “Are you not ashamed, Prime Minister, you have gone ahead with so much malice and hatred that you make him (Arvind Kejriwal) speak to his family, his wife through a glass wall. The Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, who has Z+ category security, is made to meet the three-time elected Chief Minister of Delhi with a glass wall in between. Thereby erecting a glass wall. The BJP, the Prime Minister has shown through his action that his mind is completely filled with hatred, ill will and a feeling of revenge towards Shri Arvind Kejriwal,” he said.
The Rajya Sabha MP said the Prime Minister is behaving like this with one of the chief ministers of his own country. “By putting him (Arvind Kejriwal) under 24-hour CCTV surveillance, by planning to harass him 24 hours plan to harass, your (Prime Minister’s) mind is working 24 hours on how to demoralize Shri Arvind Kejriwal, how to humiliate him and his family, how to humiliate his party leaders. I want to tell you about the Prime Minister, this is Arvind Kejriwal, he is a person made of sterner stuff. He pledged to serve the country by quitting his IRS job. When the issue of principle came up, he also resigned from the 49-day government. This is Arvind Kejriwal, if you make any attempt to break him, Kejriwal ji will become stronger and fight against you,” he said.
The senior AAP leader said yesterday Sardar Bhagwant Mann ji told how he was made to meet Shri Arvind Kejriwal. “He (Bhagwant Mann) became emotional. For all of us, this is an emotive issue, it is a matter of pain. But this is a matter of shame for the Prime Minister of India and the BJP. If you ever think within yourself for a minute, the Prime Minister of India and the BJP, you are killing your humanity. You are not giving any good message to the country. Prime Minister ji, do not ever think that the people of this country will have any good impression about you. So, whatever is happening with Shri Arvind Kejriwal ji, the Aam Aadmi Party staunchly condemns it. This act is an act of Hitlerism, an act of dictatorship and the intention is to break Shri Arvind Kejriwal ji. But Shri Arvind Kejriwal will not succumb, Kejriwal will not bow down; Kejriwal has fought, Kejriwal will fight and will keep working for the people of Delhi,” said Sanjay Singh.
