Delhi’s Kejriwal Government is organizing a 3-day Ramleela event for the people of Delhi. From Saturday (January 20), a grand 3-day Ramleela event is being organized. The special Ramleela, taking place till January 22 at the Pyarelal Auditorium near ITO, is free for everyone. The ‘Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra’ will present a live 3-hour Ramleela performance from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The Kejriwal government has appealed for maximum participation in this grand Ramleela event.
Delhi’s Minister of Art, Culture, and Language, Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj, stated that initially, they requested permission for the magnificent Ramleela performance at the vast auditorium in Pragati Maidan’s Bharat Mandapam, and were willing to pay rent. However, the Central BJP government denied permission, which is deeply saddening. BJP’s double character, claiming to be supporters of Bhagwan Shri Ram, is now evident. The BJP does not want the people of Delhi to enjoy the grand Ramleela of Bhagwan Shri Ram. Their disgraceful actions reveal their petty politics.
Delhi’s Minister of Art, Culture, and Language, Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj, released a statement on Friday, expressing sorrow that the BJP, which claims to be a supporter of Bhagwan Shri Ram, has a different character behind the scenes. “The Delhi government’s Hindi Academy department had been working on this plan for the past few days. Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, known for its beautiful and grand Ramleela performances for over six decades, organizes a nearly 3-hour program. This time, under CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s direction, the Delhi government intends to organize a 3-day grand Ramleela program for the people of Delhi through Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra. However, the BJP government at the centre, which has been consistently trying to retaliate against the people of Delhi for their defeat in various ways, have not spared Delhiites even witnessing the grand Ramleela.”
The Minister of Art, Culture, and Languages explained that since this Ramleela is very grand and beautiful, the Delhi government’s effort was for as many people as possible to enjoy this magnificent Ramleela. In this regard, the Delhi government had submitted an application to book the large auditorium at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan. However, the ITPO department of the BJP-led central government, after misleading the Delhi government for several days, did not grant permission for the grand Ramleela performance in the large auditorium. “The BJP does not want the people of Delhi to enjoy the grand Ramleela of Bhagwan Shri Ram. The behavior of the BJP-led central government is extremely unfortunate. Such conduct emanates a stench of petty politics,” he added.
Minister Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj mentioned that Bhagwan Shri Ram is everyone’s God – ours, theirs, the God of the entire universe. Denying permission for the program dedicated to Bhagwan Shri Ram due to their petty politics is highly shameful. Despite the disgraceful actions of the BJP-led central government, Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj affirmed that the Kejriwal government will definitely organize the grand Ramleela of Bhagwan Shri Ram in any case.
The Minister shared that the Kejriwal government has done a robust management of this grand Ramleela, organized by Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, at the Pyarelal Auditorium located near the ITO Chowk, towards the backside of police headquarters. This 3-day program will be held on January 20, 21, and 22. During this program, artists from Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra will present a live Ramleela from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, spanning three hours. “This program is being presented free of charge by the Delhi government. Anyone can come to the Pyarelal Auditorium without any fee and enjoy the grand Ramleela performance,” he concluded.
