The Kejriwal Government reaffirmed its commitment to COVID Warriors as the Food & Supply Minister of Delhi, Shri Imran Hussain, handed over a Samman Rashi of Rs 1 crore to the family of the deceased, Shri Jagram. Shri Imran Hussain met with the family of the late Corona Warrior, Shri Jagram, who was employed in the sanitation department at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital. Late Jagram made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the patients at the hospital during the pandemic. To commemorate his sacrifice, Shri Imran Hussain presented the family with a cheque of Rs 1 crore and stated, “The country salutes the sacrifice of these brave Corona warriors. The Kejriwal Government has pledged to support the families of the martyred Corona warriors and will always stand with them in every situation.”
Shri Imran Hussain shared that the late Shri Jagram had been serving as sanitation staff at LNJP Hospital. While tirelessly performing Covid duty at the hospital, the braveheart Corona Warrior, Late Shri Jagram, passed away on 3rd May 2021 after getting infected with the coronavirus. Shri Jagram is survived by his wife, 7 daughters, and 2 sons.
Shri Imran Hussain said, “During the Covid-19 pandemic, doctors, paramedical staff, and sanitation workers fought as frontline warriors. Our Corona warriors risked their lives to steer Delhi out of this crisis and provided crucial support to the infected people and the government. The Kejriwal Government will extend support to the families of the martyred Corona warriors in every possible situation. We salute the spirit of the Corona warriors. While this amount cannot compensate for the loss experienced by the families, we hope it will certainly assist them in rebuilding their lives with dignity.”
It is noteworthy that the Kejriwal Government has handed over a Samman Rashi of Rs 1 crore each to the families of over 70 Corona warriors who sacrificed their lives while serving humanity during the pandemic.
Shri Imran Hussain further said, “Shri Jagram made the ultimate sacrifice for the country while serving humanity, a deed that fills the entire nation with pride. The Arvind Kejriwal Government will always support the family in their time of need.” Shri Hussain further directed the District Administration to provide additional necessary government assistance to the family. Shri Hussain reassured the family of the deceased warrior that the Kejriwal Government would extend all possible help to them, and the Minister himself would be readily available for any further assistance.
