AAP National Convener and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, addressed the volunteers in his electoral constituency, New Delhi, on Sunday. He said that in 2024, removing the BJP from power is the greatest act of patriotism. In 2014 and 2019, the people of this country gave them a historic majority. If they had wanted, they could have taken the country on the path of tremendous progress. But today, the entire country is in a very bad state. There are fights and conflicts everywhere, violence, corruption, and looting. Current jobs are constantly decreasing, while the population is increasing. Today, the biggest problems in front of the country are inflation, unemployment, and corruption. Therefore, the 2024 election is very important for the country. Previously, people used to say that there was no alternative. But since the formation of the INDIA Alliance, people have started saying that if the INDIA Alliance survives, BJP’s government will not be formed in 2024.
CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal started his address with the wishes of Dussehra, Diwali, Durga Puja, Chhath and all the other festivals. The Chief Minister stated, “The people of my constituency heap praise on volunteers along with the Delhi government. The AAP volunteers don’t come from any political background, our party isn’t not a party with political background. The senior AAP leaders even don’t come from political background including Me, Shri Manish Sisodia, Shri Satyendar Jain, Ms. Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj. We are ‘aam aadmi.’ Leaders from other parties are involved in hooliganism, skirmishes, exploitation, etc. The people don’t like such people, and people like AAP leaders because they’re polite. If someone is decent then they’re from the AAP. This is the trademark of the AAP.
The AAP’s national convener mentioned that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are coming. In 2014 and 2019, the people of this country gave them a significant majority. It was an incredible majority. If they had wanted, they could have led the country on the path of tremendous progress, but today we see that the atmosphere in the country has deteriorated on all sides. There are fights and conflicts among the people. Leave WhatsApp groups, fights are happening within families, even between fathers and sons. Before this, such intense polarization was never seen in society. So much fighting, violence, corruption, and looting were never seen before. There is no peace anywhere. If there is no peace, the country cannot progress. At this time, no section of the country is happy with them. Everyone is unhappy. They have messed up the country’s economy and everything else.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that removing them from power in 2024 is the biggest act of patriotism. The country will progress only then. The decisions they have taken, no one understands why they have taken them. Do they take decisions, or does someone else take their place? In 2016, they said they were demonetizing the 1000-rupee notes to eradicate corruption. They said that it is easy to store black money in big notes, so they are discontinuing the 1000-rupee notes. But by discontinuing the 1000-rupee note, they introduced the 2000-rupee note. But corruption was not eliminated by demonetization. They said it would end terrorism, but terrorism did not cease either.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal stated that when demonetization happened, many rumors were circulating that there was a lot of corruption. Notes were being exchanged with a 30-30% commission. The common people were standing in lines, but big people were getting their notes exchanged from the back doors. It hasn’t even been seven years, and they discontinued the 2000-rupee note. No one understands why they introduced the 2000-rupee note. Such demonetization has not been seen in any country in the world. They discontinued the 2000-rupee note, but they don’t explain why. India’s economy has gone at least 10 years backward due to the demonetization in 2016. People’s jobs, businesses, and factories shut down.
AAP’s national convener further added that today, all the country’s businesses are suffering, and everyone says that business used to run smoothly earlier. Now, the business has come to a halt. They first implemented demonetization and then introduced the GST. GST is very complex, and no one understands it. They have put the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the CBI behind many big industrialists. In recent years, 12 lakh wealthy individuals and businesspeople have given up their Indian citizenship and acquired foreign citizenship. This is a very serious matter. On one hand, we say that we need foreign investment, and our country’s investment is going abroad. If our country’s entrepreneurs go abroad, who will establish industries in India, who will do business, and how will jobs be created for our youth? They promised to provide 2 crore jobs in a year, but government surveys show that the existing jobs are decreasing day by day, despite the increasing population. In this situation, where will our youth find employment?
Shri Arvind Kejriwal stated, “These people do not investigate their own people with the ED and CBI. They may label a leader as the biggest corrupt person one day, and the next day, they may bring them into their party and make them Deputy CM or Minister. They claim to have eradicated corruption, but they have engaged in the most corruption in India. They say ‘One Nation, One Friend.’ They have the same friend, and everyone should have the same friend. Investigative agencies are after everyone. Shri Manish Sisodia and Shri Satyendar Jain have been raided many times, but they didn’t get a single penny. But not a single raid has happened on their friends, even though they face numerous allegations. So, this is not a corruption case. Thieves, goons, and harassers of women are all in their party. Their party provides security to those who commit wrongdoing. If anyone involved in theft, goon activities, or harassment joins their party, no investigative agency dares to touch them. They haven’t done any development work.”
“Today, the biggest issues in front of the country are inflation, unemployment, and corruption. I request Delhiites that we have to work hard. Until now, people used to say that there is no alternative. But now, everyone is looking at the INDIA Alliance as an alternative. Since the INDIA Alliance was formed, I have received many messages from people saying that if the INDIA Alliance survives, their government will not be formed in 2024.” AAP’s national convener stated.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal further stated, “I am confident that the INDIA Alliance will survive. So, all our volunteers need to go to every house and talk to their friends and relatives to get rid of them. If you want progress and the well-being of your family, then get rid of them this time. My advice is not to argue with blind followers; talk to the patriots. The Patriots will listen to you and engage in discussions, but a blind follower has nothing to do with the country. They only love one person. One who is a blind follower cannot be a patriot, and one who is a patriot cannot be a blind follower. The 2024 Lok Sabha election is very important for the country. If these people come back for another five years, they will completely destroy the country.”
