The three-day ‘Shahpur Jat Winter Festival’ organized by the Tourism Department of Delhi Government in Shahpur Jat village located in Greater Kailash Assembly Constituency concluded today. There was a huge crowd on the last day of the program as well. People enjoyed this three-day festival thoroughly. Along with dancing to music, there was a huge crowd at the beautiful clothes and food stalls set up at the festival. While people shopped for the best and finest clothes from the clothing stalls, they also tasted a variety of delicious dishes.
Addressing the people who came to the program, Delhi’s Tourism Minister Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj said that the preparations for this program were made in a very short time, but despite this, the success of this program is due to the hard work of all the people of Shahpur Jat and all the officials of the Tourism Department. “I congratulate all the officials of the Tourism Department and all the people of Shahpur Jat for making this program a success,” he added.
A live concert was organized by famous Indian classical singer Aditi Roy. Aditi Roy mesmerized the audience with her soulful performance of Indian classical music. The women who came to the program enjoyed classical music. Through this classical music, not only the elderly people who came to the program got a chance to enjoy music, but our young generation also got a golden opportunity to know and understand the sweetness and depth of Indian classical music. A strange sight was seen at the Shahpur Jat Festival. The young generation was as excited to listen to classical music as the elderly people present at the program were. This classical music live concert mesmerized the entire winter festival.
In this 3-day Shahpur Jat Winter Festival, the people witnessed wonderful sights. A fashion show was organized in the program, in which children, old and young participated. All the people walked the ramp wearing different types of clothes. The surprising highlight of the entire program was the ramp walk of a 70-year-old grandfather with his 20-year-old young granddaughter. While on one hand a 20-year-old young girl was seen walking the ramp wearing beautiful and modern clothes, on the other hand a 70-year-old grandfather was seen walking the ramp wearing his traditional attire of dhoti kurta and a modasa on his head. Seeing this sight, all the people who came to the program were surprised.
A live concert of the famous Delhi band ‘Vidyut’ was also organized for the youth of Shahpur Jat on the last day of the program. While on one hand Aditi Roy’s classical music touched the inner soul of the people, on the other hand the rock music of the Vidyut band forced the people to dance. The young generation who came to the program could not stop themselves from dancing. The entire Shahpur Jat village was seen dancing to the tunes of the Vidyut band. The magic was seen in the music of the Vidyut band, that along with the young generation, their parents who came to the program also could not stop themselves from dancing. Everyone, be it children, old or young, danced to the tunes of the Vidyut band.
