NEW DELHI, May 11

After the AAP national convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal raised the question of PM Shri Narendra Modi’s retirement next year, MP Shri Sanjay Singh also hit back at senior BJP leader Shri Amit Shah’s statement.

Shri Sanjay Singh said that India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has made a rule that the BJP leaders will retire after attaining the age of 75 years. Under this rule, all the BJP leaders, including Shri LK Advani, the co-founder of the Bharatiya Janata Party; and Dr Murli Manohar Joshi were denied contesting the elections and retired. Therefore, the PM Modi should tell the country why he will not implement the rules made by him on himself? This makes it clear that he is greedy for power. If the 75-year rule does not apply to PM Modi, then why were dozens of leaders, including the BJP founder Shri LK Advani, dealt with under it? He said the entire BJP got upset on this legitimate question of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, and now Amit Shah is saying that this rule will not apply to PM Modi. Therefore, Prime Minister Modi should tell whether he will retire after completing 75 years of age or will continue to be the Prime Minister.

Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Shri Sanjay Singh said in a press conference at the party headquarters on Saturday that today Shri Arvind Kejriwal has asked a very legitimate question to the BJP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has made principles and rules for his party leaders. Shri Modi himself said that after the age of 75 years, the leaders will not be allowed to contest elections and they will retire. Under this rule, leaders like LK Advani, the co-founder of the Bharatiya Janata Party, and Dr Murli Manohar Joshi were retired. Under the same rule, former Union Minister Shri Yashwant Sinha and former Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Sumitra Mahajan were sidelined. Apart from this, tickets of many BJP MPs were also cancelled.

Shri Sanjay Singh said that today Shri Arvind Kejriwal raised the question that Narendra Modi will retire as he is going to turn 75 next year. After his retirement, Shri Amit Shah will become the Prime Minister of the country. In such a situation, who will fulfill Modi ji’s guarantees? Firstly, PM Modi has not fulfilled even one of the guarantees he has given in the last 10 years, there is no trust at all in the guarantees that he is giving now. As per his own rule, he will retire as soon as he turns 75.

Shri Sanjay Singh said that Shri Amit Shah and the entire BJP were shocked to hear this legitimate question of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Shri Amit Shah said that the rule made by PM Modi will be applicable to end the politics of Shri LK Advani, Shri Murli Manohar Joshi, Smt. Sumitra Mahajan, Shri Yashwant Sinha and other leaders, but this rule will not be applicable on Shri Narendra Modi. This clearly means that Modi’s principles, values, thoughts and words have no value. This means that whatever rules Modi makes, he will not implement them on himself. I think Amit Shah’s statement is not enough. Therefore, Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi should come forward and say that he is a person without principles. The rules he has made for other BJP leaders will not apply to him. The Prime Minister must clarify this, Sanjay Singh stated.

The senior AAP leader stated that Shri Narendra Modi should make this clear also because after Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s statement, Shri Amit Shah and Shri JP Nadda are saying that those rules will not apply to PM Modi. Therefore, Narendra Modi should tell whether the BJP agrees on this because the entire BJP workers had welcomed Modi’s decision to retire the leaders after 75 years. Are the BJP workers and RSS satisfied with the statements of Shri JP Nadda and Shri Amit Shah?

The Prime Minister himself should come forward and answer this because he has made the rules and principles. Now the Prime Minister himself should come and tell whether he is sticking to the rules and principles made by him or because of his greed for power he will remain in the same post for life. However, the people of the country are going to defeat Modi-led BJP on June 4. Still, PM Narendra Modi himself should clarify this, he stated.
