Over the arrest of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP National Convener and Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, there is anger among people worldwide, said Senior AAP Leader and Cabinet Minister in Delhi Government Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj. He added that the world is witnessing how the central government of the BJP is disregarding the fundamental values of humanity. On one hand, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Shri Arvind Kejriwal, and on the other hand, his family members are not being allowed to meet anyone and are being mentally harassed. He said that Sharad Reddy has been accused by the ED in the alleged liquor scam. While false allegations have been made against Shri Arvind Kejriwal, in reality, the BJP has received illegal money in the form of Electoral Bonds.
The arrest of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convener of AAP and Chief Minister of Delhi, has ignited global condemnation, and anger among among the people. In a fiery statement, Senior AAP Leader and Cabinet Minister in the Delhi Government Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj asserts that the international community is appalled by the actions of the BJP-led central government, for trampling on the core principles of humanity. As the Enforcement Directorate (ED) incarcerate Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj highlights the draconian measures taken against his family, preventing any contact and harassing them mentally. The Senior AAP Leader concludes by affirming that the BJP is receiving illicit funds through Electoral Bonds, challenging the integrity of the accusations against CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
Senior AAP Leader and Cabinet Minister in Delhi Government Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj stated, addressing a press conference at the party headquarters, “There is widespread anger around the world over the arrest of the popularly elected CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal by the ED of the central government. Arrests have been made in politics before, even during the British era, but even then, attention was paid to humanitarian values worldwide. However, today, the BJP-led central government is not even considering those humanitarian values.”
The Senior AAP Leader mentioned that Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s parents, who are over 80 years old and cannot walk without someone’s support, need assistance from someone to move around. However, today, the BJP-led central government has confined them to their home and is not allowing them to meet their relatives or party members. Basic humanitarian values dictate that family members, parents of the Chief Minister, and his children, after their arrest, should be allowed to meet their relatives, party members, and ministers serving in the government with the Chief Minister, so they can provide comfort and reassure them that they are not alone.
“However, the BJP-led central government has lowered their moral standards so much that, since yesterday, no one from Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s family relatives has been allowed to meet his parents. Such an act is only being done to mentally harass CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s family. I think even the British might never have done anything more embarrassing than this,” he added.
Expressing his concerns regarding the arrest of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj said that reports are suggesting that the life of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal is in jeopardy. The government can arrest a CM like Shri Arvind Kejriwal without any evidence, in such a situation the CM’s life is at risk. “We are sharing this information so that the people of the country can be aware of it and raise their voices against it because the central government and its agencies have stopped listening to the Aam Aadmi Party and its people.
The AAP leader said that it is being repeatedly claimed that transactions of around ₹100 crores have taken place, but to date, the ED has not been able to present any evidence in this regard. However, corruption within the BJP has been exposed before the entire country. As an example, when the Supreme Court ordered the disclosure of Electoral Bonds, a shocking revelation came to light. P. Sharad Reddy, the director of the Hyderabad-based Aurobindo Pharma, was arrested by the ED in November 2022 in connection with the alleged liquor scam. He became a government approver in June 2023, and in November 2023, he purchased Electoral Bonds worth ₹30 crores, which were given to the BJP as donations.
The Senior AAP Leader affirmed, “While on one hand, only allegations are being made against the AAP regarding a ₹100 crore transaction, for which the ED has not presented any evidence so far, on the other hand, a company whose director was arrested by the ED in a money trail case, and after that, the company donated ₹30 crore Electoral Bonds to the BJP, it proves that illegal money is going to the BJP. So, the lie that has been spread against the Aam Aadmi Party regarding the money trail, in reality, the money trail has gone to the treasury of the BJP.”
“All these evidences are publicly available, and it has also been established in court that P. Sharad Reddy of Aurobindo Pharma donated ₹30 crore to the BJP in the form of Electoral Bonds. I request the people of the country, especially the workers of the BJP, that while they are celebrating the arrest of Shri Arvind Kejriwal and rejoicing over the alleged scams, in reality, the money from the scams has gone into the treasury of the BJP,” Shri Saurabh Bharadwaj concluded.
