Following the directions of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Food & Civil Supply Minister Shri Imran Hussain inspected Lok Nayak Hospital along with the Medical Director of the Hospital to assess the cleanliness & sanitary facilities in the Hospital. During the inspection, the Minster visited various wards and OPDs of the hospital and reviewed the maintenance and sanitary conditions of the toilets. During the visit, Minister Shri Imran Hussain also interacted with the patients undergoing treatment and inquired about the arrangements made in the hospital along with their health information.
During the inspection of the toilet block at the OPD ward, the Food & Civil Supplies Minister directed the Hospital administration to place a sufficient number of naphthalene balls to avoid foul smell in the toilets. Instructions were also issued for the cleanliness of floors with phenyl liquids and disinfectants. Minister Shri Imran Hussain also stressed the need to install a sufficient number of exhaust fans in the toilet blocks to eliminate foul smells and better ventilation.
At the emergency ward, the Minister noticed a leakage in the toilet specially designed for people with disabilities/transgender persons. Taking cognizance of the matter the issue was addressed expeditiously in the hospital. Minister Shri Imran Hussain directed the hospital administration to place sufficient Hand wash liquid and soaps in the toilet blocks.
Apart from this, the Food & Civil Supplies Minister inspected the waiting area, maternity ward, Pediatrics Surgery and casualty ward and overviewed the sanitary condition of the toilet blocks. Minister Shri Imran Hussain asked the Hospital Administration to take corrective steps to improve amenities at the toilet blocks. And further instructed Hospital administration to deploy sufficient sanitation manpower to clean the toilet blocks regularly.
During this, Minister Shri Imran Hussain mentioned, “The Delhi Government not only aims to make every government hospital in Delhi better than private hospitals but also to make Delhi government hospitals as model hospitals.
