Delhi Government’s Business Blasters in its maiden year achieved various milestones and helped students of Delhi government schools develop exemplary entrepreneurial skills and mindset. Now, in its second year, the students across all Delhi Government Schools have begun working aggressively on new business ideas after doing comprehensive market research. To boost the morale of such budding entrepreneurs at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya No.1 Mandawali, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia met and interacted with them on Monday.
While interacting with the students Shri Manish Sisodia, who holds the education portfolio, said, “Our students in Delhi government schools are not only developing the core entrepreneurial skills but are also becoming responsible citizens through this program. I am happy to see that the children of our schools are dreaming of starting their own businesses and are eager to experiment in their respective fields. The Delhi government will support their determination and hardwork in every way and their businesses will create new job opportunities for the future. Through Business Blasters, the journey of our students from job seekers to job creators has begun. Their unique business ideas will be transformed into multinational companies in the future. Such a job-creator mindset will make India No.1 in the future. Business Blasters has completely changed the definition of career for the students in Delhi government schools now.”
During the school visit, budding entrepreneurs from SKV No.1 Mandawali presented their unique ideas to the Deputy Chief Minister which included an advertisement agency, customised dressmaking, home decor, catering, artificial jewellery, etc. Sharing their experiences, students said that the Business Blasters program has helped them develop skills of teamwork, planning, risk management, leadership, ideation, time management, persuasion and research, etc. Students added that Business Blasters is helping them to become independent, has boosted their self-confidence and they have been able to identify and work on their skills better.
While sharing his thoughts on entrepreneurship with students, Shri Manish Sisodia said, “It is important to inculcate the entrepreneurial mindset among students from the school level and make them understand that their ability to create job opportunities will give a bright future to the country. They are now dreaming of starting their own business and are eager to do some new experiments in their respective fields. The Delhi government will support their work which has potential to create new employment opportunities in future.”
Students from Class 12, continuing in the second year of Business Blasters said that when they used to present their ideas to someone in the maiden year of the Business Blasters Program, they lacked self-confidence and hesitated to approach clients. But this year they have been able to launch their products in the market without any hesitation because they have understood the process of marketing, finance, etc now. very well. Students told that by making some basic changes in their previous strategies, they have worked to make their ideas better and now they are getting support from their parents as well.
A student from class 12 shared that she took her product to the weekly market in Laxmi Nagar and was able to earn a good profit. This experience also gave her team exposure to the working of weekly markets and helped them further improve their strategies.
Being impressed with the ideas of students, Shri Sisodia said, “With this same confidence and their passion to do something out of the box, Delhi government school students will work towards eradicating unemployment from the country and will support the economy.”

Students of Class 11 and 12 said that EMC and Business Blasters have changed their mindset to a great extent. They have stopped running after jobs and now plan about creating more jobs. They do not fear taking risks anymore. Business Blasters has increased their confidence in everything be it studies or other work.
What is Delhi Government’s Business Blasters Program?
Business Blasters, is an extended component of Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum (EMC) being taught in Delhi government schools. Under this, the students are given the real experience of starting their own start-ups by giving seed money of Rs.2000 per student to the students by the government. Students are provided mentorship by renowned and successful entrepreneurs from all across the country. This year, the Business Blasters program has been adopted by many private schools too.

स्कूल विजिट के दौरान स्टूडेंट्स ने उपमुख्यमंत्री के सामने अपने अनोखे बिज़नेस आइडियाज प्रस्तुत किए जैसे छोटे व्यवसायों के लिए विज्ञापन, कस्टमाइज्द डिज़ाइनर ड्रेस, घर के लिए सजावटी सामान,कैटरिंग, आर्टिफीसियल ज्वेलरी आदि| उपमुख्यमंत्री से अपने अनुभवों को साझा करते हुए स्टूडेंट्स ने बताया कि बिज़नेस ब्लास्टर्स प्रोग्राम से उनमें टीम में काम करने, प्लानिंग करने, रिस्क लेने जैसे क्षमताओं का विकास हुआ है साथ ही उनमें लीडरशिप क्वालिटी, नए आईडिया के लिए ब्रेन स्टोर्मिंग करने, टाइम मैनेजमेंट करने, अपने प्रोडक्ट को लेकर लोगों को कन्विंस करने, अपने आईडिया को और बेहतर बनाने के लिए मार्केट रिसर्च करने जैसी समझ भी आई है| बच्चों ने बताया कि उन्हें बिज़नेस ब्लास्टर्स से स्वतंत्र बनने में मदद मिल रही है, उनका कॉन्फिडेंस बढ़ रहा है और वो खुद के स्किल्स के बारे में समझ पा रहे है|
इस मौके पर उपमुख्यमंत्री ने बच्चों से चर्चा करते हुए कहा कि, बच्चों की मानसिकता में स्कूली स्तर से ही यह भाव आना जरुरी, पढ़ाई पूरी करने के बाद जॉब सीकर नहीं जॉब प्रोवाइडर बनेंगे और ऐसी नौकरियां पैदा करेंगे जो वर्तमान में अस्तित्व में नहीं है| उन्होंने कहा कि, “मुझे यह देख कर ख़ुशी होती है कि हमारे स्कूलों के बच्चे का अपने करियर को लेकर एप्रोच बदला है| वे अब अपना बिज़नेस शुरू करने का सपना देख रहे है और अपने-अपने क्षेत्रों में कुछ नए प्रयोग करने के लिए बेताब है, इनकी इस बेताबी को दिल्ली सरकार सपोर्ट करेगी, इसी से आने वाले समय की नई नौकरियां पैदा होंगी|
कई बच्चे जो इस साल 12वीं क्लास में है और पिछले साल भी बिज़नेस ब्लास्टर्स प्रोग्राम का हिस्सा थे उन्होंने बताया कि पिछले साल जब वो अपना आईडिया किसी के समक्ष रख रहे थे तो उनमे आत्मविश्वास की कमी दिखती थी लेकिन इस साल ऐसा नहीं है वो बिना हिचकिचाएं अपने बिज़नेस आइडियाज को प्रोडक्ट्स को मार्केट में भेज रहे है क्योंकि उन्हें मार्केटिंग, फाइनेंस आदि का प्रोसेस अब अच्छे से समझ आने लगा है| बच्चों ने बताया कि पिछले साल के अपने प्लान में कुछ बुनियादी बदलाव कर उन्होंने अपने आइडियाज को और बेहतर बनाने का काम किया है| और अब इसे लेकर उन्हें पेरेंट्स से भी सपोर्ट मिल रहा है|
बच्चों के बिज़नेस आइडियाज व उनके इनसाइट्स से प्रभावित होकर उपमुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि इतनी कम उम्र में ही अपने स्टार्ट-अप्स शुरू करने और बिज़नेस के कोर एलिमेंट्स को समझकर हमारे स्कूलों में पढ़ने वाले बच्चे न केवल स्मार्ट एंत्रप्रेन्योर बन रहे है बल्कि जिम्मेदार नागरिक भी बन रहे है| उन्होंने कहा कि अपने इसी आत्मविश्वास और आउट ऑफ़ बॉक्स सोचते हुए कुछ नया करने के अपने जुनून के साथ हमारे स्कूलों में पढ़ने वाले ये बच्चे देश से बेरोजगारी को खत्म करने का काम करेंगे और अपने द्वारा शुरू की गई शानदार कंपनियों के माध्यम से देश की इकॉनमी को बूस्ट करने में अपना योगदान देंगे|

चर्चा के दौरान श्री सिसोदिया ने 11वीं-12वीं क्लास में स्टूडेंट्स से ईएमसी क्लासेज व बिज़नेस ब्लास्टर्स के विषय में पूछा तो बच्चों ने बताया कि ईएमसी व बिज़नेस ब्लास्टर्स ने हमें ये सोच दी है कि नौकरी के पीछे नहीं भागना है बल्कि नौकरी देने वाला बनना है| साथ ही ईएमसी ने हमें जोखिम उठाते हुए कुछ नया करने-सीखने की प्रेरणा दी है| स्टूडेंट्स ने साझा किया कि बिज़नेस ब्लास्टर्स से हर चीज को लेकर उनका कॉन्फिडेंस बढ़ा है चाहे वो पढ़ाई हो या और कुछ काम साथ ही साथ टीम में काम करना सीख रहे है और अपने स्किल्स के बारे में भी समझ बना रहे है|

केजरीवाल सरकार का बिजनेस ब्लास्टर्स दिल्ली सरकार के एंत्रप्रेन्योरशिप माइंडसेट करिकुलम का एक महत्वपूर्ण घटक है जिसे इस साल दिल्ली सरकार के स्कूलों के साथ-साथ प्राइवेट स्कूलों द्वारा भी अपनाया जा रहा है| इसके तहत सरकार द्वारा छात्रों को 2000 रुपये प्रति छात्र के सीड मनी देकर उन्हें अपने स्टार्ट-अप्स को शुरू करने का वास्तविक अनुभव प्रदान किया जाता है।
