Chief Minister of Delhi Sh. Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated the development works in 8-unauthorised colonies of Badli assembly constituency on Monday, February 4.

Roads/Streets and drains would be constructed under the project in these 8-colonies at an expense of Rs. 97.86 crores. The inauguration was also attended by the Flood & Irrigation Minister Sh. Satyendar Jain and local MLA Sh. Ajesh Yadav.

Delhi Government has been striving for a better life for the residents of the unauthorised colonies of Delhi since it came to power. Work of roads-streets, drains, sewer lines, water pipelines and street lights have been carried out in a huge number of colonies in the last four years by the Delhi Government.

The total length of the 389-roads/streets to be constructed under the project is 42-kilometres, while the total length of drains to be constructed is 84- kilometres. The work will be completed by November 2019. The project will be executed by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department.

The total number of residents to benefit from the project once completed is 1 lakh.
