· Chief Minister inaugurates development works in 3 unauthorized colonies in Rohtas Nagar
· Drains and lanes to be constructed in these 3 colonies at a cost of Rs. 5.6 crores
· Once completed it will benefit 80 thousand residents of the area
Chief Minister of Delhi Sh. Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated the development works in 3-unauthorised colonies of Rohtas Nagar assembly constituency on Tuesday, February 12.
Lanes and drains would be constructed under the project in these 3-colonies at an expense of Rs. 5.6 crores. The inauguration was also attended by the Flood & Irrigation Minister Sh. Satyendar Jain and local MLA Ms. Sarita Singh.
Delhi Government has been striving for a better life for the residents of the unauthorized colonies of Delhi since it came to power. Work of roads-lanes, drains, sewer lines, water pipelines and street lights have been carried out in huge number of colonies in the last four years by the Delhi Government.
A total of 149 lanes would be constructed under the project in these 3-colonies. The total length of the lanes is 11 kilometres, while the total length the drain to be constructed is 22 kilometres. The work will be completed in August 2019.
The total number of residents to benefit from the project once completed is 80 thousand.
