Delhi fights Third Wave
Delhi Govt has been making preparations to fight the third wave since mid-2021.
Under the leadership of CM Arvind Kejriwal, the govt has –
- Sanctioned 25% additional doctors, 40% additional nurses, 40% additional paramedics.
- Delhi govt planned 37k Covid beds in hospitals out of which 31.6k are already in place.
- Govt carried out intensive training of the healthcare personnel using “hub and spoke model.”
- Delhi govt has also trained “Swasthya Mitras” as a force multiplier to assist doctors and other healthcare workers in case of a huge surge in cases and mass hospitalization.
