  • Both impaired of hearing since birth would now be able to hear

Chief Minister Mr. Arvind Kejriwal on Friday (July 14) handed over the authorization letter of financial assistance to two child patients who are suffering from B/L profound hearing loss.

Both the children have been provided with financial assistance of Rs. 4.98 lakhs each for undergoing Cochlear Implant. Baby Zakiya (Two and a half years old) and Master Lalit (Four years old) can’t hear since birth and will be able to hear after the implant.

Mr. Kejriwal met the kids and their parents at his residence and handed over the letter. He also asked the parents to take good care of the kids and come back to him in case of any problem in future.

The Delhi government provided financial assistance to two kids through Delhi Arogya Kosh. The Governing Body of Delhi Arogya Kosh, a society under GNCTD, decided to sanction/release the financial assistance for the treatment of the patients.

Both the patients would undergo the implant within a week at the Lok Nayak Hospital, New Delhi.
Master Lalit is a resident of Karawal Nagar, while Baby Zakiya stays at Rishi Kardam Marg in Delhi.
