· Policy to select and encourage sports talent available at school level
· Financial & Specialized Support will help taking talent to next level
The Department of Education has prepared a policy for the support of school going sports talent. The policy extends financial as well as specialized training to budding talents and will help them achieve the next level.
The policy was presented before the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister at the Delhi Secretariat on Monday December 4.
The presentation was also attended by huge number of sportsperson, coaches, experts, school going sportspersons apart from the senior officials of department of Education.
The policy covers all Delhi school students who are bonafide residents of Delhi for the last three years. A Committee of Experts (CoE) would be constituted of at least five members of excellent sports background with impeccable integrity and credentials.
Under the policy an annual financial support of Rs. 2 lakh per annum will be provided to school students up to the age of 14 years, while those above this age would get Rs. 3 lakh per annum as support. The quantum of assistance may be enhanced in some cases by the Committee of Experts (CoE). The financial assistance would be provided directly to the sporting talents.
The Committee of Experts will take call on the talents to be nurtured and supported under the policy.
Apart from the financial assistance, specialised assistance will also be provided to the sports talents. Training assistance, medical assistance and insurance assistance would be provided under the scheme to the selected talent.
The financial assistance would be provided to each talent initially for two years and then a performance review would be taken to take a call on the continuance of the assistance.
The policy also covers the creation of Centres of Excellence throughout Delhi for specialized assistance to the budding talent with best facilities like coaches, physiotherapists and nutritionists. Several centres would be created at existing facilities for different games.
The sportsperson were satisfied with the policy and applauded the move of the Delhi Government. The policy will soon be sent for a cabinet nod for its implementation.
स्कूली खेल प्रतिभाओं को दिल्ली सरकार देगी वित्तीय सहायता और विशेष तरह का प्रशिक्षण
स्कूल स्तर पर खेल प्रतिभाओं के चयन और प्रोत्साहन के लिए बनाई गई नीति
नई दिल्ली। दिल्ली के स्कूलों की खेल प्रतिभाओं की सहायता के लिए दिल्ली सरकार ने एक नीति तैयार की है। इसके तहत उभरती खेल प्रतिभाओं को वित्तीय सहायता के साथ-साथ विशेष प्रशिक्षण भी उपलब्ध कराया जाएगा।
दिल्ली सचिवालय में सोमवार को आयोजित एक बैठक में ये नीति मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के समक्ष प्रस्तुत की गई। इस बैठक में अनेक खिलाड़ियों, प्रशिक्षकों, विशेषज्ञों और स्कूली खेल प्रतिभाओं के साथ-साथ शिक्षा एवं खेल विभाग के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी भी मौजूद रहे। इस नीति का फायदा उन सभी स्कूली छात्र-छात्राओं को मिलेगा जिनके पास दिल्ली में पिछले तीन साल से रहने का कोई सरकारी दस्तावेज हो। इसके लिए विशेषज्ञों की एक कमेटी बनाई जाएगी जिसमें खेल जगत से जुड़े हुए कम से कम 5 सदस्य होंगे।
इस नीति के तहत 14 साल तक के स्टूडेंट्स को सालाना तौर पर 2 लाख रुपये की वित्तीय सहायता मुहैया करायी जाएगी जबकि 14 साल से ऊपर के स्टूडेंट्स को सहायता के रूप में 3 लाख रुपये सालाना दिये जाएंगे। विशेषज्ञों की कमेटी कुछ मामलों में वित्तीय सहायता बढ़ा भी सकती है। ये वित्तीय सहायता खेल प्रतिभाओं को सीधे तौर पर उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी।
वित्तीय सहायता के अतिरिक्त खेल प्रतिभाओं को विशेष सहायता भी दी जाएगी। इस स्कीम के तहत चयनित प्रतिभाओं को प्रशिक्षण सहायता, चिकित्सा सहायता और बीमा सहायता भी उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी।
प्रत्येक खेल प्रतिभा को शुरू में दो साल तक के लिए वित्तीय सहायता दी जाएगी और फिर उसके प्रदर्शन की एक समीक्षा की जाएगी। इसके बाद सहायता जारी रखने पर फैसला लिया जाएगा।
इस नीति के तहत उभरती हुई खेल प्रतिभाओं को विशेष तरह की सहायता उपलब्ध कराने के लिए पूरी दिल्ली में सेंटर्स ऑफ एक्सीलेंस खोले जाएंगे जिनमें अच्छे कोचेस, फिजियोथेरैपिस्ट और न्यूट्रिशनिस्ट के साथ-साथ अनेक बेहतरीन सुविधाएं होंगी।
इस बैठक में मौजूद खिलाड़ियों ने इस कदम के लिए दिल्ली सरकार की तारीफ की। सरकार से मंजूरी के लिए बहुत जल्द नीति को कैबिनेट के सामने रखा जाएगा।
