Delhi Government Schools create history once again; 45 students crack JEE with flying colours

NEW DELHI
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia met and interacted with 45 students from Delhi Government Schools on Monday. These students have secured above 98 percentile in JEE (Mains). Among them were also the students of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Schools of Specialized Excellence which are from the first batch of these schools. He congratulated the students and motivated them to prepare better for the upcoming board exams and the JEE (Advanced) paper, which will be held soon. While addressing the students Shri Manish Sisodia said, “Students in our schools come from varied socio-economic backgrounds. They have seen the hardest time in their lives financially and emotionally but they are hard-working and determined. They have proved that there is no dearth of talent in Delhi government school students. They can also work hard and crack tough exams like JEE if given an opportunity.”
Shri Manish Sisodia further said, “It was the vision of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal that our students do not need to go to Kota or any other cities for preparation of competitive exams, we will provide those facilities to them in our schools itself. Today, it is with the support and hard work of teachers and students that our students have crossed a milestone on the way to their dream institutions to become engineers.”
The Deputy Chief Minister added that, if a student goes out to attend coaching for preparation for the IIT-JEE exams then he/she has to spend lakhs of rupees, which many parents are unable to afford. But at Delhi government schools, the government is making those coachings available for them for free. The preparation classes are provided in online as well as offline mode. This has helped students connect with experts across the country and prepare well. Along with this libraries in Delhi government schools have been upgraded with high-quality preparatory books for students. Books are regularly being added in school libraries as per the demand of the students appearing for exams and others.
Currently, Delhi Government School students are provided with free coaching classes in schools by Vidyamandir Classes and Avanti Fellows for preparation of JEE and NEET exams.
He added that a unique concept of ‘Reading Room’ has been started in schools where students can stay back in school till 8pm and prepare for the competitions. The reading room has been facilitated with computers for research, high-end books from renowned authors for students. This space provides a peaceful conducive environment to the students where they can focus on their studies.
It is to be noted that last year, 496 students of Delhi government schools qualified for Mains and thereafter 74 cleared advanced as well.
Worth mentioning here is the fact that this was the first year for Dr. B.R Ambedkar Schools of Specialized Excellence (ASoSEs) when students appeared for JEE exams. Out of 45 who met the Deputy Chief Minister, 10 students from ASoSEs have cleared the JEE (Mains) examination this year and have scored above the 98 percentile.
The Deputy Chief Minister said, “It is a matter of great pride that the first batch of ASoSEs has also performed brilliantly. 109 out of 253 children have qualified JEE Mains. The vision with which these schools were started is being fulfilled with these achievements of students.”
During the interaction, students shared their experiences with the Deputy Chief Minister. While sharing their experiences a student Asteek Narayan, GSBV, Radhey Shyam Park who has secured 99.98 percentile said, “School teachers and my father contributed the most in my preparation. Facilities provided today in government schools for the preparation of competitive exams have helped me a lot. As far as my preparation strategy is concerned I always decided on the next day’s plan of action in advance and used to religiously follow it.” Asteek has also written a book on calculus in his 8th grade.
Adding on Gaurav Kumar, Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar Sector V who secured 100 percentile in mathematics and 99.98 percentile overall said, “We could ask our doubts from teachers any time of the day. Even if we had some out-of-syllabus queries regarding JEE question papers, our teachers ensured to resolve that.”
Muskaan who secured 99.51 percentile said, “I had no intention of appearing for JEE exams earlier. After seeing my marks in Physics and Mathematics, my class teacher motivated me to go for it. This was my first attempt and I gave exams without any coaching. My practice in school and self-study were enough to crack the JEE mains.”
Shubham Gupta, Sarvodaya.Co-ed.Vidyalaya, Sec-8, Rohini said, “Our school libraries have been upgraded with quality books for preparation of competitive exams. Along with that, our school has the facility of a Reading Room, where students preparing for competitive exams can stay back till 8 pm in the evening and study. We have enough study materials and free coaching classes in our schools for JEE which has helped me secure a 99.78 percentile.”
Students also added that curriculums like Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum has also helped them prepare for their exams better. A student shared that “bouncing back from failures” which he learned in EMC classes, is what has helped him the most during his preparation days. EMC has helped him to increase participation in a varied range of activities and realize his full potential.
It is to be mentioned here that apart from these 45 students, there are many other students from Delhi government schools. There are many other students who have scored above the 90 percentile in JEE Mains and are among the toppers of the nation and will be appearing for the JEE Advanced.
Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “When our children become successful after studying, they will also take the country forward. Along with them, the hard work of their parents, all the teachers and the entire team of Delhi Education has also contributed a lot in this stupendous success of these children of Delhi. उपमुख्यमंत्री एवं शिक्षा मंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया ने सोमवार को जेईई (मेन्स) में 98 पर्सेंटाइल से अधिक अंक हासिल करने वाले दिल्ली सरकार के स्कूलों के 45 छात्रों से मुलाकात कर उनसे चर्चा की| साथ ही छात्रों को आगामी बोर्ड परीक्षाओं और जेईई (एडवांस्ड) की परीक्षा के लिए भी प्रेरित किया| इस उपलब्धि पर बधाई देते हुए सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि जब हमारे बच्चे पढ़ लिखकर कामयाब होंगे तो वो देश को भी आगे बढ़ाएंगे। इन बच्चों की इस शानदार कामयाबी में उनके पैरेंट्स, टीचर्स और दिल्ली की पूरी टीम एजुकेशन की जी-तोड़ मेहनत का भी बहुत बड़ा योगदान है। बही, डिप्टी सीएम मनीष सिसोदिया ने कहा कि हमारे स्कूलों के बच्चों ने जेईई मेंस में शानदार प्रदर्शन कर दिल्ली का नाम रौशन कर दिया है| यह बेहद ख़ुशी की बात है कि सरकार की ओर से मिली फ्री ऑनलाइन कोचिंग, स्कूल लाइब्रेरी में हाई-एंड किताबों की उपलब्धता, टीचर्स के सपोर्ट और अपनी कड़ी मेहनत के साथ आज ये बच्चे देश के टॉपर्स में शामिल है| उन्होंने कहा कि अरविन्द केजरीवाल जी के विजन के तहत बच्चो को अपने स्कूल मे ही शानदार कोचिंग मिल रही है। इसने साबित कर दिया है कि दिल्ली के बच्चो को अब कोटा जाने की जरूरत नही है, बल्कि कोटा ही हमारे स्कूलो मे आ गया है| एसओएसई के शानदार प्रदर्शन पर उन्होंने कहा कि यह बेहद गर्व की बात है कि दिल्ली सरकार द्वारा दो साल पहले शुरू हुए स्कूल ऑफ स्पेशलाइज्ड एक्सीलेंस के पहले बैच ने ही जेईई में झंडे गाड़ दिए हैं। एसओएसई के पहले बैच में से 253 बच्चों ने जेईई का एग्जाम दिया था, जिसमें से से 109 बच्चों ने जेईई मेंस क्वालीफाई किया है।
छात्रों का उत्साहवर्धन करते हुए डिप्टी सीएम मनीष सिसोदिया ने कहा कि हमारे स्कूलों में छात्र विभिन्न सामाजिक-आर्थिक पृष्ठभूमि से आते हैं। उन्होंने अपने जीवन में आर्थिक और भावनात्मक रूप से सबसे कठिन समय देखा है, लेकिन उन्होंने कड़ी मेहनत के साथ यह साबित कर दिया कि उनके अन्दर प्रतिभा की कोई कमी नहीं है और वे भी जेईई जैसी कठिन परीक्षाओं को पार कर सकते हैं।
डिप्टी सीएम मनीष सिसोदिया सिसोदिया ने कहा किआज दिल्ली सरकार के स्कूलों में बच्चों को नीट-जेईई जैसी परीक्षाओ के लिए फ्री में शानदार कोचिंग मिल रही है| यह अरविंद केजरीवाल की का विजन था कि हमारे छात्रों को प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं की तैयारी के लिए कोटा या किसी अन्य शहर में जाने की जरूरत न पड़े और हम उन्हें अपने स्कूल में ही शानदार सुविधाएँ प्रदान करें| दिल्ली सरकार के स्कूलों में मुख्यमंत्री जी का विज़न पूरा हो रहा है और शानदार सुविधाओं, अपने शिक्षकों के सपोर्ट और कड़ी मेहनत के साथ हमारे बच्चों ने इंजीनियर बनने के लिए अपने सपनों को पूरा करने की दिशा में एक मील का पत्थर पार कर लिया है।
उपमुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि अगर कोई छात्र आईआईटी-जेईई परीक्षा की तैयारी के लिए कोचिंग लेने बाहर जाता है तो उसे लाखों रुपये खर्च करने पड़ते हैं, जो बहुत से अभिभावक वहन करने में असमर्थ होते हैं। लेकिन इन अभिभावकों और बच्चों के सपने न टूटे, इस दिशा में केजरीवाल सरकार अपने स्कूलों के बच्चों को कोचिंग मुफ्त में उपलब्ध करा रही है| प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं की तैयारी की कक्षाएं ऑनलाइन के साथ-साथ ऑफलाइन भी प्रदान की जाती हैं। इससे छात्रों को देश भर के विशेषज्ञों से जुड़ने और अच्छी तैयारी करने में मदद मिल रही है। साथ ही स्कूलों की लाइब्रेरी में जेईई की तैयारियों से जुडी स्पेशलाइज्ड किताबों के होने से भी बच्चों को बहुत मदद मिली है|
डिप्टी सीएम मनीष सिसोदिया सिसोदिया ने कहा कि आज चर्चा में बच्चों से यह जानकार बेहद ख़ुशी हुई कि उनके शिक्षकों ने तैयारी के दौरान उन्हें बहुत सपोर्ट किया है और स्कूल के टाइम के बाद भी फ़ोन के माध्यम से किसी भी संदेह को ख़त्म करने में उनकी मदद की| साथ ही यह भी बहुत सराहनीय बात है कि हमारे प्रिंसिपलों ने आउट ऑफ़ द बॉक्स जाते हुए अपने स्कूलों में रीडिंग रूम जैसे प्रयास शुरू किए है, जहां छात्र रात 8 बजे तक स्कूल में रहते हुए परीक्षा की तैयारी कर सकते हैं।

उल्लेखनीय है कि डॉ. बी.आर. अम्बेडकर स्कूल ऑफ स्पेशलाइज्ड एक्सीलेंस (एएसओएसई) के लिए यह पहला साल था जहाँ स्टेम डोमेन के छात्रों ने जेईई परीक्षा दी थी और उन्होंने शानदार प्रदर्शन किया| इसपर ख़ुशी जताते हुए उपमुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि यह बेहद गर्व की बात है कि केजरीवाल सरकार द्वारा दो साल पहले शुरू हुए स्कूल ऑफ स्पेशलाइज्ड एक्सीलेंस के पहले बैच ने ही जेईई में झंडे गाड़ दिए है। एसओएसई के पहले बैच में से 253 बच्चों ने जेईई का एग्जाम दिया था, जिसमें से से 109 बच्चों ने जेईई मेंस क्वालीफाई किया है। हमने जिस विजन के साथ इन स्कूलों को शुरू किया गया था, वह छात्रों की इन उपलब्धियों से पूरा हो रहा है।
डिप्टी सीएम के साथ छात्रों ने साझा किए अपने अनुभव
इस दौरान छात्रों ने उपमुख्यमंत्री के साथ अपने अनुभव साझा किए। अपने अनुभव साझा करते हुए 99.98 पर्सेंटाइल लाने वाले जीएसबीवी, राधेश्याम पार्क के छात्र आस्तिक नारायण ने कहा कि स्कूल के शिक्षकों और मेरे पिता ने मेरी तैयारी के दिनों में सबसे अधिक योगदान दिया। सरकारी स्कूलों में आज प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं की तैयारी के लिए जो सुविधाएं मिल रही हैं, उससे मुझे बहुत मदद मिली है। जहां तक मेरी तैयारी का सवाल है| मैं हमेशा अगले दिन की कार्ययोजना पहले से ही तय कर लेता हूं और उसका पूरी ईमानदारी से पालन करता हूं। आस्तिक ने 8वीं कक्षा में कैलकुलस पर एक किताब भी लिखी है।
एसओएसई खिचड़ीपुर के छात्र ने अनुभव साझा करते हुए कहा कि मेरे पिताजी मोबाइल रिपेयरिंग की दूकान पर काम करते है| मैं दसवीं के बाद ही जेईई की तैयारी करना चाहता था लेकिन जब मैं कोचिंग के लिए संस्थानों पर पूछने गया तो पता चला कि ये कोचिंग बहुत महंगी है| मैं दिल्ली सरकार को धन्यवाद देना चाहता हूँ कि जिस कोचिंग के लिए मैं बाहर फीस नहीं चूका सकता था वही कोचिंग आज मुझे मेरे स्कूल में फ्री मिल रही है|
एक अन्य छात्र अमन ने साझा करते हुए कहा कि, मुझे 10वीं तक जेईई के बारे में कोई जानकारी नहीं थी| पिताजी एक सिक्यूरिटी गार्ड है तो घर में भी इसके बारे में किसी को ज्यादा जानकारी नहीं थी| लेकिन स्कूल में टीचर्स के सपोर्ट-गाइडेंस और लाइब्रेरी से मिले अच्छे स्टडी मटेरियल की बदौलत मैं इतने अच्छे पर्सेंटाइल के साथ मेंस की परीक्षा पास कर पाया|
गणित में 100 पर्सेंटाइल और कुल मिलाकर 99.98 पर्सेंटाइल लाने वाले सर्वोदय विद्यालय, डॉ. अम्बेडकर नगर सेक्टर V, के छात्र गौरव कुमार, ने कहा, “हम दिन के किसी भी समय शिक्षकों से अपने संदेह पूछ सकते हैं। यहां तक कि अगर हमारे पास जेईई प्रश्नपत्रों के संबंध में कुछ आउट ऑफ सिलेबस प्रश्न थे, तो हमारे शिक्षकों ने इसे हल करना सुनिश्चित किया।
99.51 पर्सेंटाइल हासिल करने वाली मुस्कान ने कहा, ‘पहले जेईई की परीक्षा देने का मेरा कोई इरादा नहीं था। लेकिन फिजिक्स और गणित में मेरे मार्क्स को देखने के बाद, मेरे क्लास टीचर ने मुझे इसके लिए प्रेरित किया। यह मेरा पहला प्रयास था और मैंने बिना किसी कोचिंग के परीक्षा दी। मेरे लिए स्कूल में टीचर्स से मिला सपोर्ट और सेल्फ-स्टडी जेईई मेंस को क्रैक करने के लिए पर्याप्त थे।”
शुभम गुप्ता, सर्वोदय को-एड विद्यालय, सेक्टर-8, रोहिणी ने कहा, “प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं की तैयारी के लिए हमारे स्कूल के लाइब्रेरी की हाई-एंड किताबों से मुझे बहुत मदद मिली है| साथ ही हमारे स्कूल में रीडिंग रूम की सुविधा है, जहाँ प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं की तैयारी करने वाले छात्र-छात्राएँ शाम को 8 बजे तक रुक कर पढाई कर सकते हैं। स्कूलों से मुझे जेईई की तैयारी के लिए स्टडी मटेरियल और मुफ्त कोचिंग क्लासेज मिली जिससे मुझे 99.78 पर्सेंटाइल हासिल करने में मदद मिली है।”
छात्रों ने उपमुख्यमंत्री के साथ साझा किया कि, एंत्रप्रेन्योरशिप माइंडसेट करिकुलम जैसे पाठ्यक्रम ने भी उन्हें अपनी परीक्षाओं की बेहतर तैयारी करने में मदद की है। एक छात्र ने साझा किया कि “असफलताओं से पीछे हटना” जो उसने ईएमसी कक्षाओं में सीखा, जिसने उसकी तैयारी के दिनों में सबसे अधिक मदद की है। ईएमसी ने उन्हें विभिन्न प्रकार की गतिविधियों में भागीदारी बढ़ाने और अपनी पूरी क्षमता का एहसास कराने में मदद की है।
ज्ञात हो कि इन 45 छात्रों के अलावा, दिल्ली सरकार के स्कूलों में ऐसे छात्रों की बहुत बड़ी संख्या है जिन्होंने जेईई मेन्स में 90 पर्सेंटाइल से ऊपर अंक प्राप्त किए हैं और जेईई एडवांस के लिए क्वालीफाई कर चुके है|
