Highly impressed by the historic work being done by the AAP Government in all areas including schools, hospitals, electricity, water and roads, people from all walks of life are constantly joining the Aam Aadmi Party. In this sequence, Congress leaders Om Prasad Vashisth and Mohammed Furqan Qureshi have joined the Aam Aadmi Party today along with hundreds of his supporters. AAP Delhi State Convenor Gopal Rai welcomed them to the party by offering caps and patkas.
AAP Delhi State Convenor Shri Gopal Rai said, “Campaigning for the MCD elections has now intensified in Delhi. All the Aam Aadmi Party candidates have intensified their campaign in their respective wards by holding Pad Yatras as well. Besides building a strong connect with the residents of Delhi, the candidates are also taking the message of Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal to the people of Delhi through a door-to-door campaign. Every evening, they hold a Jan Samvad at the booth level with the local residents on the issue of garbage mismanagement by the BJP-ruled MCD. So far, in the 15-year rule of BJP in the MCD, you will only see garbage loitering in every nook and corner. BJP has also created garbage mountains. Despite giving them 15 years to make Delhi clean, do you think they deserve another opportunity? Shouldn’t the people give one opportunity to Shri Arvind Kejriwal, who has done many things including transforming schools, hospitals, electricity, water, roads, transport, WiFi, free bus travel for women, free pilgrimage for the elderly for the people of Delhi. On December 4, the people need to decide as to whom should be given the opportunity to clean the garbage in Delhi. Should it be the party which makes excuses and runs away, or the party which has brought transformatory changes in Delhi? We are discussing these questions with the people of Delhi through Jan Samvad.
He added, “There is massive enthusiasm among the people for the upcoming MCD elections. The result of that enthusiasm is also visible and therefore the BJP is extremely frustrated. It has become clear to the people that with the Kejriwal government at the state-level, it will be beneficial for them to bring the same government in the MCD as well. They are saying that why not support the AAP to speed up the pace of development works in their area? I am extremely happy that people from different parts of the city and those from different walks of life are joining the Aam Aadmi Party. It is in this regard, today Congress leaders Om Prasad Vashisht and Mohammad Furkan Qureshi are joining the Aam Aadmi Party along with hundreds of their supporters. About Om Prasad Vashisht
Om Prasad Vashisht has held several posts in the Congress party over the last 30 years. He has also been the Congress State Secretary. He was also the President of Janata Mazdoor Colony and Lord Parshuram Jagrati Manch. For 20 consecutive years, Lord Parshuram Jagrati Manch has been organising the Kanwar Shivir camp at Wazirabad and has a strong hold in the society.
About Mohammad Furqan Qureshi
Mohammad Furqan Qureshi was a member of Congress from 2009 to 2012. He contested the election for the post of Councillor from Kardampuri ward from Congress party. He got 8900 votes in the election. He is actively involved in social service for the last 15 years while holding the post of President of Kabir Nagar RWA. In 2013, he contested the Assembly elections from the Peace Party and secured 10,000 votes. He also contested the Ward Councillor elections in 2012 independently and got 6600 votes.

केजरीवाल सरकार द्वारा दिल्ली में स्कूल, अस्पताल, बिजली, पानी, सड़क, परिवहन, वाईफाई, महिलाओं के लिए मुफ्त बस यात्रा, बुजुर्गों के लिए मुफ्त तीर्थ यात्रा समेत तमाम क्षेत्रों में किए जा रहे ऐतिहासिक कार्यों से प्रभावित होकर लगातार लोग आम आदमी पार्टी से जुड़ रहे हैं। इसी क्रम में आज कांग्रेस नेता ओम प्रसाद वशिष्ट और मोहम्मद फुरकान कुरैशी अपने सैंकड़ों साथियों के साथ आम आदमी पार्टी में शामिल हो गए। ‘आप’ के दिल्ली प्रदेश संयोजक गोपाल राय ने टोपी-पटका पहनाकर सभी का पार्टी में स्वागत किया।
गोपाल राय ने कहा कि दिल्ली में एमसीडी चुनाव को लेकर पूरी दिल्ली में अब प्रचार अभियान काफी तेज हो चुका है। आम आदमी पार्टी के सभी उम्मीदवार अपने-अपने वॉर्ड में पदयात्रा के माध्यम से सुबह-शाम जनसंपर्क अभियान को तेज कर रहे हैं। जनसंपर्क अभियान के साथ-साथ दिल्ली में डोर-टू-डोर कैंपेन के माध्यम से दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के संदेश को घर-घर पहुंचाने का काम कर रहे हैं। शाम के समय में बूथ स्तर पर जनसंवाद के माध्यम से कूड़े पर चर्चा हो रही है। अभीतक दिल्ली में भाजपा के 15 सालों के कार्यकाल में अगर आपकी गलियों में कूड़ा रहा है, दिल्ली में कूड़े के पहाड़ खड़े हुए हैं, इसका समाधान क्या हो सकता है? क्या 15 साल देने के बाद भाजपा को एक और मौका दिया जाए तो क्या कूड़े के पहाड़ साफ हो जाएंगे? या अरविंद केजरीवाल को यह मौका दिया जाए, जिन्होंने दिल्ली वालों को स्कूल, अस्पताल, बिजली, पानी, सड़क, परिवहन, वाईफाई, महिलाओं के लिए मुफ्त बस यात्रा, बुजुर्गों के लिए मुफ्त तीर्थ यात्रा समेत तमाम काम किए हैं। 4 दिसंबर को काम करने वाले को मौका दिया जाए या बहाना बनाने वाले को मौका दिया जाए? जनसंवाद के माध्यम से दिल्ली की जनता से इन्हीं सवालों पर चर्चा की जाती है।
उन्होंने कहा कि लोगों के अंदर बड़े पैमाने पर उत्साह दिख रहा है। उस उत्साह का परिणाम भी दिख रहा है कि भाजपा बौखला रही है। लोगों के मन में एक बात उठ रही है कि दिल्ली में अरविंद केजरीवाल की सरकार है और एमसीडी में भी केजरीवाल सरकार आ रही है। क्यों न अपने क्षेत्र में विकास के कामों की गति को और तेज करने के लिए आम आदमी पार्टी का साथ दिया जाए। इसी सोच के साथ दिल्ली की अलग-अलग जगह से लोग और अलग-अलग पार्टियों के लोग आम आदमी पार्टी से जुड़ रहे हैं। इसी क्रम में आज कांग्रेस नेता ओम प्रसाद वशिष्ट और मोहम्मद फुरकान कुरैशी अपने सैंकड़ों साथियों के साथ आम आदमी पार्टी में शामिल हो रहे हैं। मैं सभी का आम आदमी पार्टी के परिवार में हार्दिक स्वागत करता हूं।
ओम प्रसाद वशिष्ट का परिचय
ओम प्रसाद वशिष्ट पिछले 30 वर्षों से कांग्रेस में कई पदों की जिम्मेदारी उठा चुके हैं। वह कांग्रेस प्रदेश सचिव भी रह चुके हैं। जनता मजदूर कॉलोनी के अध्यक्ष रहे हैं। भगवान परशुराम जाग्रति मंच के भी अध्यक्ष रहे हैं। लगातार 20 वर्षों से भगवान परशुराम ब्राह्मन जाग्रति मंच के वजीराबाद कांवड़ शिविर लगाते हैं। और ब्राह्मन समाज में मजबूत पकड़ रखते हैं।
मोहम्मद फुरकान कुरैशी का परिचय
मोहम्मद फुरकान कुरैशी 2009 से 2012 तक कांग्रेस पार्टी का हिस्सा रहे। 2017 में कांग्रेस पार्टी के कर्दमपुरी वॉर्ड में पार्षद का चुनाव लड़ा जिसमें उन्हें 8900 वोट मिले। वह कबीरनगर आरडबूल्यूए अध्यक्ष रहते हुए पिछले 15 सालों से लगातार समाज सेवा का कार्य कर रहे हैं। 2013 में पीस पार्टी से विधायक का चुनाव लड़े जिसमें उन्हें 10 हजार वोट मिले। 2012 में इंडिपेंडेंट पार्षद का चुनाव लड़े जिसमें उन्हें 6600 वोट मिले।
