CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal turns teacher, takes a class on Dengue for students
- CM Shri Kejriwal teaches children from govt and private schools how to prevent Dengue
- Several schools across the city tuned into CM’s live class via video conference
- Children assured support in the CM’s fight against Dengue
: All government and private school children in Delhi joined the 10Hafte 10Baje 10Minute campaign against dengue. On Tuesday, Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal took a class on Dengue for children at a special program organized at the Veer Savarkar Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Kalkaji. The session was streamed live across all 1000+ government schools and several private schools across the city. CM Shri Kejriwal explained to children risks of Dengue and how to prevent it. Children assured the CM that they will inspect their houses and will also make their neighbours aware about inspecting their houses for any signs of mosquito breeding to make Delhi Dengue free. The children pledged to support the Chief Minister to eradicate Dengue from the state.
“I have come today as a teacher, not as your chief minister. We have to join the campaign every week for ten minutes to save ourselves and our families. This can only happen if we continue to fight against dengue with all our conviction. I have a lot of expectations from children because nobody can turn down a child’s appeal. I myself cannot turn down a child’s request. That is why I urge you children to take the first step towards checking for clean stagnant water in your homes, and then motivate your parents to do the same. The determination of children can leave adults far behind,” said the chief minister.
While speaking to the children, the Chief Minister said that dengue has spread in many states in India and doctors have feared that dengue would be the most dangerous this year. However, the public participation in the mega campaign against dengue has resulted in only 286 dengue cases in Delhi this year. “It’s almost like magic,” said CM Shri Kejriwal, referring to what people’s participation can do.
“In 2015, there were 15,000 cases and 60 people were killed. Last year, there were 2800 cases of Dengue. Everybody needs to be extra-careful because Dengue is supposed to be more effective this year. Dengue larvae form into mosquitoes in eight to ten days. A dengue mosquito lays a thousand eggs per month, which means one such mosquito will produce 10 million mosquitoes in three months. We have to inspect for stagnant water to not allow even one mosquito to breed,” said the Chief Minister.
CM Shri Kejriwal appeals for students support for the Dengue campaign
“We will send a kit to all the schools in a few days, which will contain pamphlets, stickers and ‘Dengue Warrior’ badges. The pamphlets have all the relevant information related to Dengue. There will be three stickers which say, ‘My House is Dengue Free’, one for your house and the other two for your two neighbours. Students will have to form a team by wearing Dengue Warrior badges. The teams will check their homes every Sunday, and can then go to their neighbouirng homes for inspection,” said the Chief Minister.
Videos were played to make students aware about Dengue
Ahead of the chief minister’s program, a video was shown to the children through which the children were briefed about Dengue in detail. They were also told about how to detect a dengue mosquito. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia was also present at the occasion.

After his address, one student asked the CM, “We will beat dengue, but what about the rest of the diseases?” Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “For now, all of us have to work together to defeat dengue. Then, I will come again to talk about pollution”. The students of class 12th asked the chief minister about his career. The chief minister told the children that he first studied in IIT, and thereafter became a civil services officer. The chief minister advised the children to choose a career according to their interests.”
Support gathered from various celebrities
The Chief Minister’s campaign has received support from various personalities and political leaders. Celebrities such as Tapase Pannu, Imran Hashmi, Rahul Dev, Mahesh Bhatt, Rajdeep Sardesai, Faye D’Souza and Kapil Dev are among the celebrities, who promoted the anti-dengue campaign on social media platforms. At the request of the CM, Lieutenant Governor Shri Anil Baijal also inspected his official residence in support of the campaign and directed the DDA, VC and Delhi Police Commissioner to ensure maximum participation in the campaign.
Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “There were 60 dengue deaths in 2015 and 1500 cases came into light. There were 2800 cases in 2018. I was told by the doctors that Dengue rises after every 3-4 years. A mega campaign against dengue has been launched to fight and defeat Dengue.”

मुख्यमंत्री श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल बने टीचर, डेंगू पर ली बच्चों की क्लास
- दिल्ली के सरकारी और निजी स्कूल के बच्चों को सीएम ने बताए डेंगू से बचाव के तरीके

नई दिल्ली : डेंगू के खिलाफ दस हफ्ते, दस बजे, दस मिनट अभियान में अब दिल्ली के सभी सरकारी और निजी स्कूल के बच्चे जुड़ गए हैं। मंगलवार को मुख्यमंत्री श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने वीर सावरकर सर्वोदय कन्या विद्यालय एक कालका जी आयोजित कार्यक्रम में बच्चों की डेंगू पर क्लास ली। इस दौरान दिल्ली के सभी सरकारी और निजी स्कूल के बच्चें सीएम से लाइव जुड़े। सीएम ने बच्चों को डेंगू के खतरे को विस्तार से बताया। साथ ही उन्हें प्रण दिलाया कि वह बुधवार से अपने घर की जांच करेंगे। साथ ही अपने पड़ोसियों को भी इसके लिए जागरूक करेंगे। जिससे दिल्ली को पूरी तरह से डेंगू से मुक्त किया जा सके। बच्चों ने डेंंगू के खिलाफ लड़ाई में मुख्यमंत्री का पूरा साथ देने का वादा किया।
मुख्यमंत्री श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने बच्चों से कहा कि आज मैं मुख्यमंत्री के तौर पर नहीं टीचर बनकर आया हूं। उन्होंने बच्चों से कहा कि हमें खुद को और परिवार को बचाने के लिए हर सत्ताह दस बजे, दस मिनट के लिए इस अभियान से जुड़ना होगा। यह तभी हो सकता है, जब हम डेंगू के खिलाफ दिल और दीमाग से लड़ेंगे। मेरी बच्चों से बहुत उम्मीदें हैं। क्योंकि उनकी बात कोई नहीं टाल सकता है। मैं भी बच्चों की बात को टाल नहीं पाता हूं। इस कारण मेरा बच्चों से आग्रह है कि वह पहले खुद घर में साफ पानी की जांच करें। फिर अपने मम्मी-पापा को भी ऐसा करने के लिए प्रेरित करें। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि अगर किसी काम को करने के लिए बच्चे ठान लेते हैं तो बड़े – बड़े को झूका देते हैं।
अब तक सिर्फ 286 केस सामने आए हैं, ये चमत्कार से काम नहीं: श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल
मुख्यमंत्री ने बच्चों को बताया कि भारत के कई राज्यों में डेंगू पांव पसार चुका है। डाक्टरों ने आशंका जताई थी कि इस साल डेंगू सबसे ज्यादा खतरनाक होगा। लेकिन डेंगू के खिलाफ महा अभियान में जन-भागीदारी का नतीजा है कि इस साल दिल्ली में डेंगू के सिर्फ 286 केस सामने आए हैं। जबकि 2015 में 15 हजार केस सामने आए थें। 60 लोगों की मौय हुई थी। पिछले साल 28 सौ केस सामने आए थें। इस साल डेंगू के काफी प्रभावी होने की उम्मीद थी, इस कारण ज्यादा सचेत रहना है। डेंगू का लार्वा आठ से दस दिन में मच्छर बनता है। अगर साफ पानी को नहीं बदला गया और मान ले कि वह 1 अक्टूबर को डेंगू का मच्छर बन जाए तो वह एक माह में एक हजार अंडे देता है। इस तरह एक मच्छर के कारण तीन माह में दस करोड़ मच्छर तैयार हो जाएंगे। इस कारण हमें एक मच्छर को भी पनपने नहीं देना है। हमें जहां भी साफ पानी मिले उधेड़ देना है।
बच्चों से सीएम की अपील
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि कुछ दिनों में सभी स्कूलों में एक कीट भेज दी जाएगी। जिसमें तीन चीजें होंगी। पंपलेट, स्टीकर और डेंगू बैरियर बैग। मुख्यमंत्री ने बच्चों से कहा कि पंपलेट में डेंगू के बारे में बताया गया है। स्टीकर तीन है, जिसमें एक अपने घर में और दो पड़ोसियों के घर पर चिपकाना है। इसपर लिखा है कि मेरा घर डेंगू मुक्त है। जो अपने घर में साफ पानी की जांच कर लें, वह इस स्टीकर को लगा सकते हैं। डेंगू बैरियर बैग पहनकर बच्चों को एक टीम बनानी होगी। इस टीम के बच्चे अपने अपने घरों की हर रविवार जांच करेंगे। फिर पड़ोसियों को जाकर ऐसा करने के लिए प्रेरित करेंगे।
बच्चों को वीडियो के माध्यम से भी किया गया जागरूक
मुख्यमंत्री के कार्यक्रम से पहले बच्चों को एक वीडियो दिखाया गया, जिसके माध्यम से बच्चों को डेंगू के बारे में विस्तार से बताया गया। साथ ही उन्हें किस तरह डेंगू के मच्छर को तलाश करना है, यह भी बताया गया। कार्यक्रम के दौरान उप मुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया भी मौजूद थें।
बच्चों से रू ब रू भी हुए सीएम
डेंगू पर क्लास के बाद मुख्यमंत्री श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल नर्सरी, केजी, पाचवीं और बारहवीं के बच्चों से उनके क्लास में जाकर मिले। इस दौरान मुख्यमंत्री ने केजी के बच्चों से पूछा कि क्या उन्हें स्कूल आना अच्छा लगता है? बच्चों से एक स्वर में हां सुनकर मुख्यमंत्री उत्साहित हुए। कक्षा पांच के बच्चों ने मुख्यमंत्री से पूछा कि डेंगू को तो हम हरा देंगे लेकिन बाकी बीमारियों का क्या ? इसपर मुख्यमंत्री श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि अभी हम सबको मिलकर डेंगू को हराना है। फिर प्रदूषण पर बात करने मैं आऊंगा। बारहवीं के बच्चों ने मुख्यमंत्री से उनके करियर की जानकारी ली। मुख्यमंत्री ने बच्चों को बताया कि वह पहले आइआइटी में गए। फिर सिविल सेवा में गए। मुख्यमंत्री ने बच्चों से कहा कि वह अपनी रुचि के हिसाब से ही करियर का चुनाव करें। मुख्यमंत्री को अपने बीच पाकर बच्चे खासे उत्साहित थें।
विभिन्न हस्तियों का मिल चुका है समर्थन
मुख्यमंत्री के इस अभियान को विभिन्न हस्तियों और राजनीतिक नेताओं की ओर से समर्थन मिला है। जिसमें तपसे पन्नू, इमरान हाशमी, राहुल देव, महेश भट्ट, राजदीप सरदेसाई, फेय डिसूजा और कपिल देव जैसी हस्तियां भी शामिल हैं। इन्होंने सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म पर एंटी डेंगू अभियान को बढ़ावा दिया। सीएम के अनुरोध पर उपराज्यपाल श्री अनिल बैजल ने भी अभियान के समर्थन में अपने आधिकारिक निवास का निरीक्षण किया और डीडीए, वीसी और दिल्ली पुलिस आयुक्त को अधिकतम भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करने का निर्देश दिया।
मुख्यमंत्री श्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा कि 2015 में डेंगू से 60 मौतें हुई थी। पंद्रह सौ केस सामने आए थें। 2018 में 27 सौ केस सामने आए। मुझे डाक्टरों ने बताया कि डेंगू 3-4 साल बाद फिर सिर उठाता है। इसी कारण इस साल डेंगू के खिलाफ महा अभियान शुरू किया गया है।
