· This project adds 12 Resettlement Colonies of Narela Assembly Constituency to the piped supply network
· The project will benefit 1,20,000 residents of the area
· DJB is working hard to connect maximum number of colonies to the piped water supply network
Keeping in view, the mandate of the Government of NCT, under the guidance of Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, the CM of Delhi and Chairman DJB, the Delhi Jal Board has been working round the clock to ensure equitable water distribution to the rapidly growing city of Delhi.
The work of laying and providing of water lines in 12 Resettlement colonies of Narela Assembly was inaugurated on Sunday, 18-02-2018, by Chief Minister of Delhi & Chairman DJB Mr. Arvind Kejriwal.
Other senior officials of the Delhi Jal Board also attended the event. The Board, with its limited available raw water resources, has brought about tremendous improvement in its water management resulting in improvement in the water supply in many colonies and villages through the water distribution network.
Water in these Resettlement colonies of Narela Assembly will be provided from Holambi Kalan UGR/ Palla area Ranney well & Tubewell. Once completed, the project will benefit 1,20,000 residents of these colonies. The total cost of the work is estimated at Rs. 828 lakhs.
