CM and Health Minister inspect new sites for Mohalla Clinic
- Sites reported non-feasible by officers found fit for clinics
- Officials had cited space constraint in all the three sites visited
- Officials had no answers when confronted by Chief Minister on the non-feasible report
- Revisit all the ‘non-feasible’ marked sites properly and approve them: CM to officials
New Delhi: 20/07/2018
Chief Minister Sh. Arvind Kejriwal, along with Health Minister Sh. Satyendar Jain, on Friday, July 20, inspected sites for new Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics in Paschim Vihar and Saraswati Vihar.
The Chief Minister inspected the sites which were reported non-feasible for Mohalla Clinics by officers. In their report the officials have marked huge number of sites as non-feasible as there was ‘space constraint’.
The Chief Minister was amazed on his visit when it was found that these sites, the three that the CM visited on Friday, were having huge empty space, much more than what was required to build Mohalla Clinics.
The officials of the concerned departments were red faced and had no answers when they were confronted by the Chief Minister on the space available and the ‘space constraint’ report submitted by them.
“There is so much space here, where is the constraint? It seems there is something wrong with the inspection done, I have seen three sites today, all of them have space and the report submitted says there is no space,” said the Chief Minister to the officials.
Directing the Principal Secretary (Health), the CM said, “It looks to me that most of the sites marked non-feasible are having space for Mohalla Clinics. Get them re-inspected, revisited immediately and get them approved. If there are still any ‘non-feasible’ site reports, I will again go for the inspection of such sites. This report seems to be totally wrong after all three non-feasible visited today have so much of space.”
The Chief Minister and the Health Minister visited three sites:
- E Block, Saraswati Vihar
- RBI Enclave, Paschim Vihar
- BG 6, Paschim Vihar
