Chief Minister of Delhi Mr. Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday visited Rohini Sector – 27 of Narela assembly constituency and reviewed development work in the area. He was accompanied by senior government officials and local MLA Mr. Sharad Chauhan.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said, “Some residents of the area met me recently and demanded a government school, Mohalla Clinics and complained about some problems in the water pipeline. I have discussed them with my officers and have come back to you.”
“I have come today with the Chief Engineer, the map for the school has been passed and the construction will start in 6-months. It will take one and a half year for the school to be completed. I have asked your MLA to identify land for Mohalla clinic. If required we will construct 2-3 Mohalla clinics looking at the population of the area. Once the land is identified, it will take 3-4 months to complete the clinics,” said the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister also assured the residents of the area that he will get the water pipeline problem rectified at the earliest.
The Chief Minister also explained the free surgery and free medical test scheme to the audience. “We have launched a scheme for free surgeries for you in private hospitals if the queue in the government hospital is long and your operation is not being done within one month. You can now get operated at private hospitals and the Delhi Government will pay for it. Similarly, if you have any medical test to be done and it is not available or for any reason it is not being done at the government hospital, you can now get it done from any private lab and the Delhi Government will pay for it,” he said.
“We are providing one of the cheapest electricity in India since we came to power, the Delhi Government has now extended the subsidy for another year and you will continue to get power at the same rate for another year, said he.
Speaking further, the CM said, “In case of any problem you can meet your MLA. You can also come to me, my doors are always open for you. Come and meet me at my residence from Monday to Friday between 10 am to 11 am without any appointment. I will be happy to meet and have a cup of tea with you.”
The Chief Minister also walked through by lanes of the areas talking to the people and taking stock of the works being done in the area.
