Chief Minister takes review meeting of Delhi State Health Mission (DSHM)
- DSHM to manage & set up 1000-Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics in Delhi
- RKS allowed to hire short term manpower for hospitals to fill the gaps in health services

Chief Minister, Shri Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday, November 16, took a review meeting of the Delhi State Health Mission (DSHM). The review meeting was attended by Health Minister, Shri Satyendar Jain, Social Welfare Minister, Shri Rajendar Pal Gautam, Chief Secretary and other senior officials of Delhi Government and Municipal Corporations.
The Chief Minister was presented an overview of the functioning of DSHM. The Vision of DSHM is to provide affordable, accountable and quality assured healthcare for all. The basic thrust of DSHM is to focus on primary healthcare delivery systems, special interventions for the underserved & vulnerable and taking care of thehealth needs in difficult areas such as slums, JJ Clusters, resettlement colonies, unauthorised colonies and urbanized villages.
In line with the objective of the mission of providing Universal Health Coverage, the Chief Minister approved the proposal to entrust the mission with the responsibility of management and setting up of 1000 Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics in Delhi.
The meeting chaired by the Chief Minister also allowed the Rogi Kalyan Samitis (RKS) to hire short term manpower for hospitals to fill the gaps in health services. This will help hospitals have adequate number of staff for services as and when required.
