Chief Minister of Delhi, Sh. Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated 2 new normal size swimming pools in 2 different Government schools of the Directorate of Education in Trans Yamuna Area. First, he inaugurated the swimming pool in Annie Besant Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Pocket B, Mayur Vihar Ph. II, Delhi. Later on, he inaugurated the swimming pool in Rajkiya Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, West Vinod Nagar, Delhi. Dy Chief Minister, Sh. Manish Sisodia, Sh. Khazan Singh, Arjuna Awardee in swimming, Sh. Bhanu Sachdev, Arjuna Awardee in swimming, other MLAs, senior officers of the Directorate of Education and Engineers from PWD were present at the time of inauguration.
Both the swimming pools have been constructed by Public Works Department at a cost of Rs. 2.28 crores each. These pools have been constructed in a period of 9 months. These pools will cater to the needs of the 5000 students of both the schools. Apart from the students of these schools, the students of other nearby Government schools and private schools can avail the swimming facility at these pools without any charges.
Chief Minister took a round of the entire school with Dy CM, Heads of the schools and other senior officers and appreciated the efforts of the teachers and support staff in improving the standards of Education in schools.

Dy. Chief Minister, Sh. Manish Sisodia blessed the students and stated that the Government of NCT of Delhi is always committed towards providing the best infrastructure for the school students whether it be class rooms, libraries, sports playgrounds etc.
Chief Minister, Sh. Arvind Kejriwal in his address to the students and parents stated that the Government of NCT of Delhi has undertaken a lot of beneficiary schemes for the students and citizens of the capital. He particularly informed the students about the loan guarantee scheme of the Government and mentioned the importance of World Class Skill Centre at Vivek Vihar.
On this occasion, Mrs. Asha Aggarwal, Deputy Director of Education (Sports) thanked all the present dignitaries and the other agencies e.g. PWD, Delhi Police, Health Department for making the inauguration successful.
