During the ‘Vikas-Kranti’ (Development Revolution) Rally organized in Moga Mandi of Punjab, AAP’s National Convenor & Delhi’s CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann initiated development works worth ₹1125 crores in the Bathinda Lok Sabha constituency. During this event, Shri Arvind Kejriwal mentioned that Punjab is now on the path of progress. The AAP government has also started development works in Gurdaspur with ₹1850 crores and in Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha constituency with ₹850 crores. The AAP National Convenor shared that it’s been 75 years since independence, but until now, neither the Akali, Congress nor the BJP-Akali governments ever allocated a package of ₹1125 crores together for Bathinda at once. With this money, 7 new government schools, 13 Mohalla Clinics(Aam Aadmi Clinics), 2 flyovers, and a bus stand will be constructed in the Bathinda Lok Sabha constituency. Additionally, sewer, road, and water works will be undertaken. Shri Arvind Kejriwal further mentioned that the people of Punjab are very pleased with the AAP government’s work. He’s confident that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the public will strengthen the AAP by giving all 13 seats of Punjab to the AAP.
AAP National Convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal paid his homage to the late Indian Army personnel, Amrik Singh. During this, the AAP National Convenor mentioned that the late Amarik Singh, who was from Punjab, worked in the army and lost his life while defending the country. CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann handed a check of ₹1 crore as an honorarium to the family of the late Amarik Singh. Amarik Singh’s father couldn’t believe it. He said that Punjab is the land of Bravehearts and freedom fighters. Someone from every second or third family is in the army. Many people lost their lives while defending the country. But until now, no government has taken care of the families of martyrs. For the first time in Punjab, the AAP government has taken care of the families of these bravehearts. Now, if anyone from Punjab serving in the army loses his life or a police person dies on duty, CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann himself will visit their homes and present a ₹1 crore honorarium to their families.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal further added, “No price can be placed on someone’s life. Brother Amarik Singh’s life is more valuable than the worth ₹1 crore. But at least his family feels that Punjab and the country stand by them, the Punjab government stands by them. It brings peace to their hearts. I saw tears in Amarik Singh’s father’s eyes. For the first time, someone has come to honor the families of such brave soldiers of Punjab. Agniveer Amritpal, who hailed from this area, also lost his life. The Central Government didn’t honor him, but CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann went to Amritpal’s home and presented a check of ₹1 crore to his family.”
The AAP National Convenor mentioned that today, the AAP Government has brought a package of ₹1125 crores for development work in the Bhatinda Lok Sabha constituency. It has been 75 years since the country became independent. In these 75 years, there have been Akali, Congress, and Akali-BJP governments in Punjab, but no one announced a package of ₹1125 crores for Bhatinda. Whenever people from Bhatinda went to the government, they were told there was no money. Last week, we went to Gurdaspur. The AAP government has provided a package of ₹1850 crores for development work in Gurdaspur. Before this, an ₹850 crore package was given for the Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha constituency. The development will spread in every corner of Bhatinda with ₹1125 crores. 7 new government schools will be built in the Bhatinda Lok Sabha constituency. These schools will surpass even the biggest private schools in terms of quality and facilities. Education in these schools will be entirely free.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “With the ₹1125 crore package, magnificent hospitals will be built in the Bhatinda Lok Sabha constituency, providing free treatment of all kinds. Currently, there are 25 Aam Aadmi Clinics in Bhatinda. With this money, 13 more Aam Aadmi Clinics will be established. All treatments, including medicines and tests, will be free. Traffic is heavy on the Old Multania Overbridge in Bhatinda. A new overbridge will be constructed here. An overbridge will be built over the Janta Nagar railway. Sewers, roads, and water work will be undertaken. Additionally, a new bus stand will be constructed. No government has done so much work in Punjab. In the past 75 years, the Akali, Congress, and BJP governments haven’t done anything significant. But if anyone is asked in Punjab about the work done under Sardar Bhagwant Mann’s leadership in the AAP government, people will list numerous achievements. The biggest work done by the AAP government is providing free electricity. 2.5 years ago, when our government was formed, Punjab faced power cuts of 8-10 hours. Today, Punjab gets 24-hour electricity, and the electricity bill is zero.”
The AAP National Convenor remarked,
“Some media persons asked us, ‘Where do you get so much money from?’ Whereas Captain and Badal Sahab used to say that the government is running in losses. Where does the AAP’s government get so much money from? As soon as our government was formed in Punjab, we started looking into their accounts and found widespread corruption. They were getting a job done for ₹100 that we do for ₹8. We found a lot of unnecessary spending. There were ten records of the same road on paper, but in reality, the road was never built. Now, we are saving all that money, and we won’t let Punjab run out of money.”
Shri Arvind Kejriwal stated that there are 20,000 government schools in Punjab. Now, all these government schools are being improved. Some work is underway in all schools. We consider the 3 crore people of Punjab as our family. Just like I have children, you also have children. We consider your children as our own. It’s our responsibility to ensure your children get a good education. If your children don’t receive a good education, we won’t sleep at night, we won’t be able to digest food. The education we are providing to our children, we will arrange for better education for your children. Government schools all over Punjab are being improved, teachers are being sent abroad for training, and magnificent schools and hospitals are being built throughout Punjab. All government hospitals are being improved. Within 1-2 months, all government hospitals will become magnificent, and all treatments there will be free.
Speaking on employment, the AAP National Convenor said that till now, the AAP government has provided 42,000 government jobs in Punjab. Earlier, in the Akali and Congress governments, government jobs were not available without money and recommendations, whereas in the AAP government, all government jobs are now available without money and recommendations. Qualified candidates are getting jobs. All temporary employees are being made permanent. During the election campaign, we saw that temporary employees were climbing on tanks everywhere, and today, all employees are working in their offices.
The AAP National Convenor shared, “We had a dream of ‘Rangla Punjab’ (Prosperous Punjab). The people of Punjab voted for us after seeing our work in Delhi. Now, all these people from other parties are very upset. They feel that they have lost their jobs now. No one will vote for them again. Just like the people of Delhi gave us 28 seats out of 70 the first time, 67 the second time, and 62 the third time, the people of Punjab gave us 92 out of 117 seats, and my heart says that next time, AAP will get more than 110 seats out of 117. The Lok Sabha elections are also approaching. There are 13 seats in Punjab and one in Chandigarh for the Lok Sabha. The people of Punjab are happy with the work of the AAP government. I am confident that the people of Punjab will strengthen our position by giving us all 13 seats.”
AAP National Convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal mentioned, “All these parties have come together against us. All these parties have formed a collusion and resorted the central government’s intervention to prevent us from working. These parties think that if the AAP does so much work, their boat will sink. Afterwards, the central government did very reprehensible work. They stopped Punjab’s share of funds for the health department. When the central government stopped health funding, the AAP government opened Aam Aadmi Clinics in various places in Punjab. Farmers come to sell their crops in the Mandi (Farmers’ Market). The Central Government halted the allocation of ₹5500 crores for road construction. Upon this CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann said that even if the Central Government doesn’t provide money, I will build roads for my farmers.”
The AAP National Convenor continued, “The Central Government went to extremes, stopping even the engine of the train heading to the pilgrimage of Sri Hazur Sahib and Sri Patna Sahib (Under Mukh Mantri Teerth Yatra Yojana). A letter came from the central government stating they wouldn’t allow the train for pilgrimage. CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann has been sad since he received the letter, seeing how the Central Government is distressing our people. If you assist someone in performing a pilgrimage, you also earn some ‘Punya’ (merit). But if you prevent someone from doing so, then even God won’t forgive you.”
Shri Arvind Kejriwal further added that CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann is firmly resolved that even if the Central Government doesn’t provide a train, they will take the elders of Punjab to Sri Hazur Sahib and Sri Patna Sahib. Alternative arrangements for the train will be sought. But the plans of the Central government won’t succeed. Before this, they made many efforts to stop our work in Delhi as well. Sometimes they hindered Mohalla Clinics, roads, or CCTV camera installations, but I didn’t let any work stop and completed everything. Similarly, no work will halt in Punjab. We will all work together to make ‘Rangala Punjab.’
First Parents-Teacher Meeting in Punjab’s Government Schools on 16th December – CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann
On this occasion, Punjab’s CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann said that for many years, only politics was happening in Punjab. People had no hope. He said that for the first time on 16th December, parents of children studying in Punjab’s government schools met their teachers. Such a large-scale Parents-Teacher Meeting had never taken place in these government schools before. These kinds of meetings had stopped in Punjab’s schools, but we are Punjabis; we don’t lose hope. He said that it’s the common people who elect from village heads to the Chief Minister. When you all are with me, I have no fear of anything. Some people are very worried today about how a common man reached the chair; they’ve also started feeling responsible for everything. If this continues, their turn will never come. The entire Badal family has accepted defeat. Now, there’s only one left, whom we have to defeat from Bathinda. These people started considering themselves landlords.

Punjab’s CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann mentioned that Delhi’s CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s experiences were used in Punjab, of the work he’s done in Delhi. Even children in government schools today have so much self-confidence that they want to become judges, doctors, engineers, and IAS officers. He said that a 9th-grade student from Fatehgarh told me that first, I would become a radiologist, and then, after winning the elections, I would become the CM. Before the AAP came, people understood politics as the work of goons and the wealthy. Only after Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s arrival has it become possible for even an 8th or 9th-grade child to talk about becoming a CM. Since the AAP government came into power, trust has risen among the people of Punjab.

Punjab’s CM shared that the AAP government makes decisions in the interest of the people. The central government stopped funding for the Mohalla Clinics (Aam Aadmi Clinics). They said, to shut down the Mohalla Clinics first, then the money will be given. Besides this, they stopped the Rural Development Fund (RDF) of ₹5,500 crores meant for the development of farmers. If this money had come, roads of 7,000-8,000 kilometres could have been built in every village. When we started the Mukh Mantri Teerth Yatra Yojana, they didn’t give us a 7-15 day train, saying they don’t even have engines. PM Narendra Modi talks about a double-engine government on one hand, and on the other, the railways say they don’t even have an engine. But now, there’s an honest government in Punjab, and we also generate our revenue. People’s money is spent on people. Our work won’t stop. We will all work together towards making turning Punjab into the ‘Rangla Punjab’ (prosperous Punjab).
