The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have been orchestrating a malicious campaign to defame Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal and tarnish the image of the AAP. Senior AAP Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh asserted that top officials within the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) have resorted to coercion and intimidation tactics, in the Delhi Excise Case, compelling witnesses to provide false statements. According to the MP, CBI Director Sanjay Mishra and officers Bhanupriya and Anmol Sachan have been accused of subjecting witnesses to torture and threats in order to force them into writing fabricated statements. The AAP leader has also stated that the party possesses concrete evidence supporting these allegations, which will be presented to the nation at the appropriate time.

One of the key points raised by the AAP is the inconsistency in the ED’s claims regarding the alleged scam. Initially, the ED had estimated the scam to be worth Rs 100 crore, but later revised the amount to Rs 20-30 crore. However, when questioned in court to provide evidence, the ED surprisingly produced proof of a mere Rs 6 lakhs. Over the last two days, the ED has been claiming that it has evidence of Rs 17 crore, is this an investigation or a comedy?, Shri Sanjay Singh questioned, while highlighting that allegations of a liquor scam are false, and neither the CBI nor the ED has found any evidence in their investigation so far.

Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh held a press conference on Tuesday to expose the disturbing tactics employed by the Modi Government to target Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party. He said, “The relentless agenda of the ED and the CBI has not been to conduct any investigation, but rather to implicate Shri Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party, tarnish their reputation, imprison their associates, and repress them. These agencies operate with complete disregard for evidence, facts, and a fair investigation. They are merely puppets dancing to the tunes of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, with their only objective being to instill fear and extract false statements implicating Modi’s political rival, Shri Arvind Kejriwal. We have already presented ample evidence substantiating these claims, and we will unveil even more very soon.”

Evidence recently revealed by the AAP leader confirms a pattern of intimidation, coercion, and abuse of power by the ED and the CBI. Several witnesses in the excise policy case have come forward, exposing the agencies’ modus operandi of extracting statements under duress, resorting to threats, and imprisoning individuals unjustly. Shri Sanjay Singh particularly drew attention towards Shri Sanjay Mishra, the Director of ED, Ms. Bhanupriya, an ED official, and Shri Anmol Sachan, a CBI officer. The AAP leader noted, “These officials, entrusted with upholding justice and enforcing the law, have abandoned their sense of duty and have instead veered into criminal territory, systematically abusing their position.”

Shri Sanjay Singh also exposed the ineffectiveness of the designated investigation officer (IO) in this case, Shri Joginder Singh, who is not allowed to exercise his independent decision-making. “One of the key individuals implicated is ED Officer Ms. Bhanupriya, who, on the instructions of ED Director Shri Sanjay Mishra, resorts to appalling measures such as physical assault, verbal abuse, and threats, to extract statements from witnesses. She writes the required false statement herself and then forces the witnesses to sign them,” he said.

He explained, “We have evidence of the officer’s questionable conduct displayed during the investigation and the orchestration of this entire conspiracy. We have diligently collected all such witnesses’ accounts and supporting evidence, which we will soon present it before the court. It is essential that these officers comprehend the gravity of their actions and the mounting evidence against them. These revelations have far-reaching implications for the integrity of the investigations and the credibility of the agencies.”

In a stern message to these officials, Shri Sanjay Singh emphasised, “Shri Narendra Modi will retire after he is older than 75 years. But you still have to work. Do your duty honestly.” He expressed deep concern over the intimidation tactics employed by ED officials, including the coerced extraction of statements and the unjust treatment of witnesses. He highlighted a disturbing pattern of misconduct within the ED. Several witnesses in the excise policy case have approached the court, with alarming revelations about the coercive tactics employed by ED and CBI in the case. A witness reported that the agency resorted to such violence that both his eardrums have been damaged. Another witness told the court that he was threatened with the well-being of his daughter, on the way to her college, to extract a false statement from him.

Shri Sanjay Singh also offered some advice to the ED and CBI officials, namely, Shri Sanjay Mishra, Ms. Bhanupriya, and Shri Anmol Sachan. He noted how their positions as public servants, working for the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), are prestigious and respected. “Your communities and families take pride in your accomplishments. Is it worth sacrificing your integrity and participating in these heinous acts to further the agendas of a few?” he asked.

Tracing the dubious claims of the ED and CBI, Shri Sanjay Singh said that they initially claimed a staggering liquor scam of Rs 100 crore. The use of hundreds of police officers to conduct raids, arrests, and even hooliganism in various states further added to the spectacle. However, within the span of their 8-month investigation, the figure conveniently shifted to Rs 20-30 crore. Furthermore, after 8 months of filing the FIR, when questioned by the court about the whereabouts of the proof of a scam worth 20 to 30 crore, they admitted that they have only collected evidence of a mere Rs 6 lakh.

Shri Sanjay Singh remarked, “It is disconcerting how easily they altered their allegations without providing any explanation. This continuous fluctuation of numbers, from 100 crore to 20–30 crore to 6 lakhs, only reveals the gimmicky and conspiratorial nature of their investigative practices. To make matters worse, just two days ago, the CBI abruptly claimed to have evidence of a scam worth Rs. 17 crore. This incessant creation of new drama and pranks raises serious doubts about the sincerity and professionalism of these investigation agencies. It seems as though they have opened an entertainment department. Are the ED and CBI meant to be genuine law enforcement bodies or mere comedy companies?”

He noted, “Such is the extent of baseless animosity for the Aam Aadmi Party that no proof has been presented in the case so far, yet they propagate a false narrative of a scam of Rs. 17 crore. This false claim of a 17-crore investigation will also drag on for another year, with them resorting to the same tactics of intimidation, assaults, and extracting false statements that they had used for their previous allegations.” He pointed out how the investigative agency also recently created a lot of noise around getting a statement from a witness about Shri Arvind Kejriwal. This was further sensationalized by the media, which claimed that the said witness had met Shri Arvind Kejriwal directly. However, it has been revealed by this witness to the court that his father and wife were held hostage by the agency to coerce a fabricated statement out of him.

It was further revealed that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has admitted to the court that it falsely named Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sanjay Singh, in three separate chargesheets. However, upon receiving a defamation notice, the ED was forced to rectify this grave “error” in court, thereby exposing the ulterior motives of those behind this sinister plot. He noted, “This reveals that at the behest of the Prime Minister and the Bharatiya Janata Party, ED had a deep conspiracy to falsely implicate me and put me in jail. If I had not sent them a defamation notice, they would have definitely sent me to jail.”

Shri Sanjay Singh further said that another disturbing twist has emerged in this unfolding drama. A certain individual, who was granted bail in the case, had made multiple statements prior to his release, wherein Shri Sanjay Singh’s name was absent. However, in subsequent statements made after his release, a deliberate effort has been made to once again malign Shri Sanjay Singh. He said that he would provide more details on the matter soon. He stressed how disheartening it was for him to witness the level of animosity directed by central agencies towards Shri Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). “In fact, I have already proposed to the Prime Minister that if there is such intense hatred towards us, they should simply deploy their army tanks and annihilate us at the crossroads,” he remarked.

He reiterated that when the court demanded evidence of a 100-crore scam after eight months of investigations, the ED and CBI were found empty-handed. This is why Shri Rajesh Joshi and Shri Gautam Malhotra, who were accused in this case, were granted bail as the investigating agencies failed to present a single piece of substantial evidence or any witnesses to support their claims. He stressed that no proof has been found of even a single rupee, nor have they been able to prove any wrongdoing. This raises serious questions about the credibility and integrity of the investigation.

The Rajya Sabha MP explained, “It is evident that these actions were a joint effort orchestrated by both the ED and CBI at the behest of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Their aim was clear: to destroy Shri Arvind Kejriwal and undermine the Aam Aadmi Party. Furthermore, when the agencies faced criticism from the court and the public, they resorted to spreading falsehoods in an attempt to salvage their reputations. They concocted a narrative of miraculously discovering evidence worth 17 crore, a story that conveniently emerged to counter the mounting criticism. Sadly, this narrative will dominate the media coverage of AAP for another year, without any evidence.”

Calling attention to the lack of any evidence of corruption, dishonesty, or any financial wrongdoing by AAP, he said, “The alleged ‘liquor scam’ is nothing more than a concoction of lies and deceit, woven by officers such as Ms. Bhanupriya, Shri Anmol Sachan, and Shri Sanjay Mishra, at the behest of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party. But we have uncovered the truth, and we possess the proof to expose them. When the time is right, we will lay bare the facts in front of the entire nation, the way we did about my name in the case, where the truth ultimately prevailed and the agencies had to admit to their mistakes.” Addressing the media, he concluded, “I extend my gratitude to all of you and urge you, as responsible journalists, to delve deep into the veracity of any claims that come your way, given the track record of these agencies so far. Before publishing them or making any commentary, it is vital that you investigate the claims thoroughly and ascertain the complete truth.”
