Senior AAP leader Shri Somnath Bharti said that it is beyond doubt that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Enforcement Directorate are one and the same, particularly after the BJP spokesperson’s name appearing as the lawyer representing the ED.
Raising serious questions on the representation of the ED by the BJP spokesperson and Lok Sabha candidate Bansuri Swaraj in the case of MP Sanjay Singh, AAP candidate for New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency Shri Somnath Bharti said that ED and BJP are one and the same. There is no difference between them. The name of BJP spokesperson Bansuri Swaraj is included among the ED lawyers. Bansuri Swaraj represented ED in the court against AAP MP Shri Sanjay Singh. In Sanjay Singh’s case, apart from April 2, Bansuri Swaraj’s name is also there in the court orders issued on February 5, March 12 and December 11. After Bansuri Swaraj’s name became public, ED has now shamelessly gone to court to get her name removed. He said that ED, CBI and Election Commission have become political units of BJP. Through ED, CBI and IT, BJP has made Rs 2471 crore illegally in the name of electoral bonds. After 2014, corruption cases were filed against 25 leaders. Out of these, 23 leaders joined BJP and ED closed all their cases.
Addressing a press conference, senior AAP leader Shri Somnath Bharti said that he will prove how BJP is using central agencies as a tool. “We have such strong evidence that once you see it, there will be no doubt left. We will show you every evidence of how BJP has sabotaged India’s Constitution and its democracy. Shri Somnath Bharti stated that the lawyer who has been representing the ED in the court against AAP senior leader Shri Sanjay Singh is none other BJP’s spokesperson and Lok Sabha Candidate Ms. Bansuri Swaraj. It proves that the BJP and the ED are working as one entity. BJP is ED and ED is BJP,” he said.
Shri Somnath Bharti stated that the Aam Aadmi Party has said from the beginning that ED, CBI and Election Commission have become political units of BJP. It has been completely proved that ED and BJP are one and the same. The ED is the BJP, and the BJP is the ED. The BJP has been trying to topple the Aam Aadmi Party government in the name of liquor policy scam. We have already told many times how BJP is trying to take political advantage through the ED.
Shri Somnath Bharti stated how the BJP accused the most popular and loved party Aam Aadmi Party of orchestrating the entire liquor policy scam. The entire nation knows how the BJP used the ED to conspire against the AAP. How they arrested the most popular Chief Minister of Delhi Shri Arvind Kejriwal, solely on the basis of an approver’s statement, without any evidence. How they approved Sarath Chandra Reddy’s bail on the basis of his false statement against CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal and donations to the BJP amounting to 55 crores. Another noteworthy instance is of Magunta Reddy, whose son Raghav Reddy was kept in jail. There was no statement against Shri Arvind Kejriwal in the first two testimonies, and suddenly in the third statement, CM’s name was mentioned. This happened right after the BJP and Magunta Reddy locked a deal in exchange of his son’s release. Today, the same Magunta Reddy has been given a ticket by the NDA for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.”
The nation has seen how the BJP has been using the electoral bonds to extort money from leading capitalists. The entire nation saw how the BJP extorted funds amounting to Rs 2,471 crore in the name of electoral bonds through the IT Department, ED, and CBI. All these instances are sufficient to prove that the BJP and the ED are one entity. BJP is ED, and ED is BJP. But today, I’m going to reveal something that would leave no more doubts in this, Somnath Bharti stated.
On Tuesday, when senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Shri Sanjay Singh got bail from the Supreme Court, something was seen in that order which shows that what the Aam Aadmi Party has been saying has proven to be true. Shri Somnath Bharti, citing the Supreme Court order of April 2, 2024, said that BJP’s spokesperson and Lok Sabha Candidate Ms. Bansuri Swaraj is representing the ED. If such a person is representing the ED against the AAP leader in the court, it proves that the BJP is misusing the ED for their political gains. The ED is working like a political wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Shri Somnath Bharti further added, “When this matter was brought to light through social media, ED shamelessly went to the court to get Ms. Bansuri Swaraj’s name deleted from the attendance list. Her name is also included in this list of previous orders. It is clear that BJP’s spokesperson and Lok Sabha candidate Ms. Bansuri Swaraj has been representing the ED in Sanjay Singh’s case, she was there on 5 February 2024, 12 March 2024, and 11 December 2023. What could be a greater proof of this that the ED is working as a political unit of the BJP. ED is extorting money for the BJP and obstructing fair elections to favour the BJP.
Quoting a report from a national daily, Shri Somnath Bharti said, “Since 2014, as many as 25 opposition leaders facing corruption probe cross over to the BJP, 23 of them were reprieved.” That means you commit corruption, join the BJP and get relieved from the corruption cases. If you don’t join the BJP, then go to jail. Honest leaders are threatened to join the BJP or face arrest, exactly what was done to Shri Manish Sisodia, Shri Satyendar Jain, Shri Sanjay Singh, and our Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal. After the evidence we have shown, there is no scope left for doubt. The name of Ms. Bansuri Swaraj is recorded in all four orders of the Supreme Court.
During this, the Aam Aadmi Party’s Legal Cell Head, Shri Sanjeev Nasiar, said that a leader associated with the political wing of BJP has been representing the ED in this case for the last four months. He stated, “There can be no greater proof than the fact that the Supreme Court has also commented many times that during these two years, the ED has not been able to find the trail of even a single rupee against any of our leaders. But despite this, CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on the night of 21 March, while on the same day the ED had said before the court that we do not have to arrest him, only interrogate him. He was instructed by BJP that whatever order comes from the High Court, he has to arrest the CM tonight itself.”
“The wrongful arrest of the Chief Minister and the evidence we have shown today proves that the BJP is trying to destroy the Aam Aadmi Party both overtly and covertly, inside and outside the court. But let us make it clear that we are working under the leadership of an honest leader who has come to the world to do honest politics. He has proved that he is an iron man, none of our leaders are afraid of the BJP’s atrocities. Shri Sanjay Singh will come out today, he will roar again the way he used to roar in the Parliament. The upcoming elections are going to give nightmares to the BJP. The way ED surrendered in the court yesterday, it is clear that the BJP’s countdown has begun,” he added.
