Highly impressed by the historic work being done by the various AAP Governments in all areas including schools, hospitals, electricity, water and roads, people from all walks of life are constantly joining the Aam Aadmi Party. In this sequence, Ex-Ward President of Rohini Ward 53(E) Pankaj Gupta and Ex-BJP Mahila Morcha President Sonia Bansal have joined the Aam Aadmi Party today along with hundreds of his supporters. MCD In-charge and MLA from Rajinder Nagar Shri Durgesh Pathak welcomed them to the party by offering caps and patkas.
AAP MCD In-charge and MLA Shri Durgesh Pathak said, “Despite the presence of a wave of Aam Aadmi Party in 2015 and 2020, we could not win elections in Rohini back then. We have figured out the reason behind the same. Some of the people, who are also present here today, did such a commendable job on the ground by putting so much effort that they did not allow us to win in those booths or wards. I am glad that the entire team of BJP, which was working in Rohini, is joining the Aam Aadmi Party today.”
He continued, “When I asked them what made them join the AAP, they said that it has been 15 years since and they have given multiple chances to BJP in MCD. They have been working tirelessly for the past 15 years. But once they bring a councillor to power, they turn a deaf ear toward them. When they ask them to get their streets cleaned, no work gets done. Garbage remains loitering and they even say to the councillors that it is them who have to face the fury and abuses of the people when they go to ask them to vote for BJP. They have made up their mind that they want Delhi to be clean and there is only one party, one person who can make it possible. It is the Aam Aadmi Party and Shri Arvind Kejriwal.”
Shri Durgesh Pathak concluded, “Today, Ex-Ward President of Rohini Ward 53(E) Pankaj Gupta and Ex-BJP Mahila Morcha President Sonia Bansal have joined the Aam Aadmi Party today along with hundreds of his supporters. Ex-BJP Ward President Pankaj Gupta said, “All of us were part of the BJP with our body, mind and conscience. We served the organisation with all our hearts but we were deeply pained to know that despite working for 15 years on a grassroot level, outside candidates were airdropped on us each time. They neither belonged to the area and there are corruption & sexual harassment charges against them as well. And we are being told to continue working like we were doing before. We are optimistic that Shri Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP members will give us the respect and honour which we could not get in the BJP.”

केजरीवाल सरकार द्वारा दिल्ली में स्कूल, अस्पताल, बिजली, पानी, सड़क, परिवहन, वाईफाई, महिलाओं के लिए मुफ्त बस यात्रा, बुजुर्गों के लिए मुफ्त तीर्थ यात्रा समेत तमाम क्षेत्रों में किए जा रहे ऐतिहासिक कार्यों से प्रभावित होकर लगातार लोग आम आदमी पार्टी से जुड़ रहे हैं। इसी क्रम में आज रोहिणी वॉर्ड 53(E) से भाजपा के पूर्व वॉर्ड अध्यक्ष पंकज गुप्ता और पूर्व भाजपा महिला मोर्चा अध्यक्ष सोनिया बंसल समेत सैंकड़ों भाजपा कार्यकर्ताओं ने आम आदमी पार्टी की सदस्यता ग्रहण की। ’आप’ विधायक एवं एमसीडी प्रभारी दुर्गेश पाठक ने टोपी-पटका पहनाकर सभी का पार्टी में स्वागत किया।
आम आदमी पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेता, विधायक एवं एमसीडी प्रभारी दुर्गेश पाठक ने कहा कि 2015 और 2020 में जब दिल्ली में आम आदमी पार्टी की लहर थी, उस वक्त हम रोहिणी नहीं जीत पाए थे। इसका कारण यह था कि कुछ हमारे साथी जो आज इस प्रेसवार्ता में मौजूद हैं, उन्होंने वहां इतना काम किया, इतनी मेहनत की है कि कहीं ना कहीं यह लोग उन वॉर्ड में हमें जीतने नहीं देते थे। मुझे बहुत खुशी है कि रोहिणी भाजपा की पूरी टीम आज आम आदमी पार्टी में शामिल हो रही है।
मैंने पूछा कि आप लोगों ने आम आदमी पार्टी में शामिल होने का कैसे निर्णय लिया? उन्होंने जवाब दिया है कि हम पिछले 15 सालों से भाजपा के लिए जीतोड़ काम कर रहे हैं लेकिन जब भी किसी पार्षद को जिताते हैं और पार्षद को फोन कर कहते हैं कि एक गली साफ करवा दो तो वह मना कर देते हैं। उनका कहना है कि जनता से वोट मांगने हम जाते हैं इसलिए जनता हमें गालियां देती है क्योंकि उनके घर मोहल्ले की गलियां साफ नहीं होती हैं।
ऐसे में रोहिणी वॉर्ड 53(E) से पूर्व भाजपा वॉर्ड अध्यक्ष पंकज गुप्ता और पूर्व भाजपा महिला मोर्चा अध्यक्ष सोनिया बंसल आज आम आदमी पार्टी में शामिल हो रही हैं। साथ ही उनके सैंकड़ों भाजपा साथी भी आम आदमी पार्टी की सदस्यता ग्रहण कर रहे हैं। मैं सभी का आम आदमी पार्टी में हार्दिक स्वागत करता हूं।
