AAP’s Senior leader and MLA Shri Durgesh Pathak said that due to wrestlers not getting justice from the BJP, Sakshi Malik quit wrestling in tears. It’s a matter of great shame that when wrestlers win medals, the Prime Minister invites them home and personally takes all the footage. The BJP showcases wrestlers’ photos on their billboards, attributing Modi’s role in their victories, but when they struggle for a year, no one stands by them. When history is written, it will note how the BJP stood with those who oppress women. MLA Shri Durgesh Pathak questioned what would happen to common people if the system could treat those who bring pride to the nation in such a manner. He also asked when the farmer and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar would break his silence on this, as farmers have faced oppression.
Senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and MLA of Rajinder Nagar, and in-charge of MCD, Shri Durgesh Pathak addressed an important press conference at the party headquarters on Friday. MLA Shri Durgesh Pathak mentioned that our country’s wrestlers left no stone unturned in making proud of our Mother India. The senior AAP leader expressed his anguish over the disappointment faced by the wrestler brothers and sisters when they faced the media; tears were in their eyes, pain in their hearts. It’s distressing that due to the lack of justice, Sakshi Malik disheartened, left wrestling. The Prime Minister invites medal winners to his home for discussions and personally captures all the footage when they win medals, but no investigation is conducted when an insulting incident happens to them.
Shri Durgesh Pathak mentioned that the entire country saw how this entire system was engaged in defeating children. When I was watching their press conference, I was deeply saddened that if this system can do this to such well-known wrestler friends, what will happen to ordinary people? Many times morale falls, whether to fight or not. I’d like to quote Gandhi Ji’s line. When he was disappointed, he always thought that in history, there have been many times when murderers, robbers, and miscreants believed they could never be defeated. But in the end, victory belongs to truth.
The AAP MLA from Rajinder Nagar shared, “It’s unfortunate that when wrestler companions win medals, the entire BJP stands by them. They put up their photos on their billboards, trying to show the world that PM Narendra Modi also had a hand in the victory. As if, Modi Ji also shared a few tactics on how to wrestle and when not to. But now, when they’ve been struggling for the past year, no one stood by them. Only the common people of this country stood with them. Whether farmer and VP Jagdeep Dhankhar breaks his silence on this or not is awaited, as farmers have faced oppression.”
Shri Durgesh Pathak stated that in this entire matter, the one against whom all allegations are being made; a real viral video is circulating where he’s claiming that his dominance will remain. I want to say one thing when you look at history and see God’s justice, dominance belongs to the ones with character, not the characterless. Dominance belongs to saints, not demons. Dominance belongs to Sita, not Ravana. Dominance belongs to protectors, not predators. Dominance belongs to Gandhi, not Godse. Dominance belongs to athletes, not oppressors. Dominance belongs to Sakshi, not Brijbhushan. I want to tell my wrestler companions that this fight is long but don’t concede defeat at all. The entire country stands with you. When history is written, it will also note how the BJP stood with those who oppress women.
