The BJP has been deeply alarmed by the INDIA Alliance’s unity. Therefore, the BJP stopped India Alliance candidates, Shri Somnath Bharti and MLA Virendra Kadian, from inviting people to the mega rally scheduled for March 31st at Ramleela Maidan in New Delhi by deploying police. Shri Somnath Bharti said that he was inviting people for the rally along with MLA Virendra Kadiaan in Delhi Cantonment. The police cited Section 144, but no orders were shown. He said that the BJP and PM Modi have imprisoned the top leaders of the “AAP” and are preventing their candidates from campaigning. But today, everyone is saying “Main Bhi Kejriwal”. Now this election has become Bharatiya Janata Party vs. Bhartiya Janta.
INDIA Alliance candidate Shri Somnath Bharti said that when they were promoting the rally by distributing invitation letters with MLA Virendra Kadian in Delhi Cantonment, the police stopped them and said that they cannot campaign here.
Shri Somnath Bharti said that when he asked for the reason behind stopping the campaign, it was claimed that Section 144 was in place. However, no such order was shown. “What do the BJP and PM Modi want? First, imprison the top leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party and then don’t even let their candidates campaign in the elections!” Today, everyone in this area is saying, “Don’t worry, the BJP is losing, and they can stop INDIA candidates from campaigning, but how will they stop the people? Today, everyone is saying, “Main Bhi Kejriwal,” he added.
The INDIA candidate further mentioned, “Today our leader is in jail, and we cannot even campaign. After all, what does PM Narendra Modi want? Does he want us not to campaign and just sit at home? Why doesn’t the BJP simply say that an emergency has been imposed in India and you people should stay at home? These people are not even allowing four people during the campaign. However, the police cannot do anything about it either because they too receive such instructions from above. But I strongly oppose this.”
Shri Somnath Bharti said that such situations pose a danger to democracy. Therefore, everyone should definitely participate in the mega rally scheduled for March 31st at Ramleela Maidan. This will make it clear to these anti-democratic elements and enemies of democracy that democracy and the republic are still alive in India, and whatever the people desire will happen in this country.
MLA Virendra Kadian said that we are law-abiding citizens. However, there are no letters or orders regarding not campaigning. But the police are saying that they will not allow AAP members to campaign, so we are going back to avoid any trouble
