On this occasion, Senior AAP Leader Ms. Atishi said that the time of elections is a very important time. Because we cast our vote once in five years and the decision of this vote lasts for 5 years. In such a situation, when we go to vote, we should vote wisely.
The Senior AAP Leader said that in the 2014 elections, people across the country voted for the BJP with great hope. People thought that their lives would improve, their children would get a good education, inflation would reduce but the BJP government, Narendra Modi’s government, has spent 10 years and all their promises have proved to be mere ‘jumla’ (rhetoric). There has been no change in the lives of common people.

Inflation started touching the sky instead of decreasing in the 10 years of BJP rule
Ms. Atishi said that BJP had given the slogan ‘Bahut hui mehangai ki war, abki baar Modi sarkar’ (Enough of inflation, this time Modi government) but instead of decreasing in ten years, inflation increased further. Today, it has become difficult for the common people to run the household expenses with the amount they earn. The price of a gas cylinder has increased from ₹300 to ₹1200, the price of diesel has increased from ₹55 to ₹90, and the price of petrol has increased to ₹100. In the last 10 years, everything has become expensive. In such a situation, this time the public will give an answer to the increased inflation.
BJP, which promised employment, has taken unemployment to its peak
Ms. Atishi said that BJP had given another slogan, ‘Enough of unemployment, this time Modi government’. But unemployment has not decreased in the last 10 years. Rather, it has increased even more. “Today unemployment is at its peak. Modiji used to talk about India becoming a Vishwaguru – he has made India a Vishwaguru in the matter of inflation and unemployment,” she added.
Ms. Atishi mentioned that these people (BJP) had promised to end corruption and deposit ₹15 lakhs in people’s accounts. But that too proved to be a ‘Jumla’. All their promises proved to be Jumla. BJP has shown in its 10 years that it has no intention of fulfilling any of its promises. This is the reason why BJP is afraid of Shri Arvind Kejriwal because he fulfilled all the promises he made.
“Today Delhi has 24-hour electricity. People’s electricity bills are zero. Shri Arvind Kejriwal had promised that he will make government schools excellent, and will provide excellent education to even the children of the poorest of the poor families. Today, children studying in Delhi government schools become automobile engineers and not mechanics. Now, they don’t drop out from school but get admission in IIT, medical college. This is Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s government and his promises,” The Delhi Cabinet Minister added.
She further added that Shri Arvind Kejriwal has made DTC bus travel free for his mothers and sisters in Delhi. This is Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s government. He gave Mohalla Clinics to Delhi where medicines are free, tests are free, treatment is free. Shri Arvind Kejriwal has become the modern era’s Shravan Kumar and arranged free pilgrimages for the elderly of Delhi.
Ms. Atishi said, “Whether it is free electricity, water, excellent schools, Mohalla Clinics, free bus travel, free pilgrimage for the elderly, if any person has done all this for the first time in this country, then it is Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Today every child in Delhi knows that if there is improvement in the lives of the people of Delhi, then there is only one man behind it, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal and this is the reason why BJP is jealous of Shri Arvind Kejriwal because he fulfills his promises. So immediately after the announcement of elections, Shri Arvind Kejriwal has been put in jail by the central government of BJP by making false allegations.”
She said that BJP is under the illusion that Shri Arvind Kejriwal is just one man. BJP does not know that, if it has put one Arvind Kejriwal in jail, then thousands of Kejriwals have come out on the streets of Delhi to change the lives of Delhiites. When you go to cast your vote in this election, remember who is the man who changed their lives, who worked to improve the lives of the common people of Delhi and was sent to jail. We have to remember that when we needed him, Shri Arvind Kejriwal stood with us. That’s why today when Shri Arvind Kejriwal needs us, the whole of Delhi is standing with him.
“The people of Delhi will tell the BJP that they can put Shri Arvind Kejriwal in jail but cannot remove him from the hearts of Delhiites because Shri Arvind Kejriwal lives in the hearts of Delhiites. On this 25th May, the people will answer BJP’s dictatorship, atrocities, and false allegations with their votes,” Ms. Atishi concluded.
