Smt Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, on Sunday read out his message from the ED custody calling upon 140 crore Indians to make India the number one country in the world, at the mega INDIA alliance ‘Loktantra Bachao’ (Save Democracy) rally held at the Ramlila Maidan.
Addressing over lakhs of supporters of the INDIA alliance who had assembled at the venue to express their solidarity with Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Smt Sunita Kejriwal began by asking the assembly whether the Delhi Chief Minister’s arrest was right. “Our Prime Minister Modi ji put my husband in jail. Did the Prime Minister do the right thing? Do you all believe that Kejriwal ji is a true patriot and honest person? These BJP people are saying that Arvind Kejriwal is in jail, he should resign. Should Arvind Kejriwal ji resign?” The crowd replied in the negative, “No.”
She said that Shri Arvind Kejriwal is fighting for the motherland. “They arrested Kejriwal ji. Your Arvind Kejriwal is a lion, they will not be able to keep him in jail for long. Shri Arvind Kejriwal lives in the hearts of crores of people because of the bravery and courage with which he is fighting for the country. Many times, I feel that in the freedom struggle, he was a freedom fighter who was martyred while fighting for the country. Even in this birth, Kejriwal ji has probably been sent to fight for Mother India,” Smt Sunita Kejriwal.
Smt Sunit Kejriwal read out Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s message to the public. “My dear Indians, please accept the greetings of your son, your brother from jail. I am not asking for your votes today; I am not even asking you to defeat or make anyone win in the coming elections. Today I seek the cooperation of 140 crore people of the country to build a bigger India. I invite 140 crore Indians to build a new India,” she read out, quoting Shri Arvind Kejriwal from his letter written from the ED custody.
Smt Sunita Kejriwal continued to read Delhi CM’s message. “India is a great country; our culture is several thousand years old. India has everything given by God, still why are we backward, why are our people illiterate, why are they poor. I am in jail, here I get a lot of time to think, I get broken sleep at night. I think for Mother India. Mother India is very sad, Mother India is in pain. Moaning in pain. When people do not get two square meals a day due to inflation, Mother India feels very sad. When the children of Mother India do not get good education, people die without proper treatment even after 75 years, then Mother India feels hopeless and helpless. When there are long power cuts in many parts of the country, roads are broken, the condition is bad even after 75 years, then the mother feels a lot of pain,” she read.
Quoting Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s letter, Smt Sunita Kejriwal read: “When some leaders give rousing speeches all through the day, live a life of luxury, and are engaged in looting the country along with their friends, then Mother India gets very angry. Mother India strongly hates such people. Let us together create a new India, the India of the dreams of 140 crore people, an India where every person will get enough food, every hand will get work, no one will be unemployed, no one will be poor, no one will be illiterate. Every child will get a good education, whether rich or poor, every sick person will get good treatment, whether rich or poor.”
She further read the message: “Every nook and corner of the country will have power 24×7. There will be excellent roads in every village of the country. There will be an India which will be the centre of quality education in the world, where students from across the world will come to study. We will make India a world leader in science and technology. We will spread India’s spirituality to every corner of the world. We will make an India where there will be no differences, hatred, violence, or abuse. Where everyone will get justice. There will be love and brotherhood. Today, I call upon the 140-crore people of India to join me in making such an India.”
“If you give the chance to the INDIA alliance and give them the responsibility, then we will together construct a great nation. INDIA alliance is not just a name, it’s a feeling in our hearts. Today, on the behalf of the entire INDIA alliance, I hereby give these six guarantees to the 140-crore people of India.”
Smt. Sunita further announced the six guarantees on the behalf of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, “First, we will ensure that the country gets 24×7 power supply, there will be no power cuts. Second, we will make electricity absolutely free for the poor sections of the society. Third, we will make magnificent government schools in every village and locality. Now every child, whether rich or poor, will receive the same quality education. Fourth, we will make Mohalla clinics in every village and locality. There will be multi-speciality government hospitals in every district. We will make proper arrangements for top quality free treatment available for every citizen of the county. Fifth, the farmers will be given proper MSP on all crops according to the Swaminathan Report, we will ensure that the farmers get the right price for their crops. Sixth, the people of Delhi have endured injustice for over 75 years, people here have less rights as compared to other states. Their elected government is paralyzed. We will end this injustice; Delhiites will get their rights. We will ensure that Delhi gets the status of a state.”
Smt. Sunita Kejriwal further stated that Shri Arvind Kejriwal sought forgiveness from all the partners of the INDIA Alliance. “Today, I seek apology from all INDIA Alliance partners because I did not seek their permission for making these announcements. It was impossible to seek their agreement or permission since I’m in jail. I hope that nobody will have any objections to these announcements.”
“We will fulfill these six guarantees within the next five years. We have planned everything on where we will get the funds for this. I am in good health in jail, I’m full of enthusiasm, this arrest has further strengthened my courage. Your blessings are always with me, God is with me. I will meet you all very soon, Your Arvind”
Shri Sunita Kejriwal added how her husband, Shri Arvind Kejriwal is getting immense love and blessings from the entire nation. “This dictator rule will not be tolerated in India. We will fight and we will win. I would like to conclude this by expressing immense gratitude to the INDIA Alliance partners for supporting us in the times of crisis,” she concluded.
